I am starting this thread a bit early. I tested yesterday at 9dpo and got a faint positive, which was much darker today. My due date would be the 29 September, but this is my second child and my first was super late, so am assuming this will really be an October baby.

@LauEli I am surprised they are so clear, I am not due my period until Wed! But then it's so irregular these days.

LauEli · 30/01/2021 21:22

@MrsCremuel mine was like that I tested Thursday last week, really clear positive but wasnt due on till Wednesday this week 😊 and got 2-3 weeks on cb digital on Monday.

LauEli · 30/01/2021 21:24

@Lrose222 @NetflixAddict add me Laura Pullen-ford on Facebook I'll add you into the group.

Peachi82 · 30/01/2021 22:29

@LauEli
Twins whisper
Haha.

I hope I get a better night's sleep tonight. Last night was awful with being awake from like 3am to 530am. Then DS climbing in at 7am (which is pretty decent considering). So so so tired.

LauEli · 30/01/2021 22:41

@Peachi82 what even is sleep these days 😂

Moonstone12 · 30/01/2021 23:04

So after saying don't test too much it doesn't help anxiety I didn't take my own advice. I had to go and get nappies earlier so picked up another test! And took it at 6.30pm. The line is no different to the one I took 2 days ago in the morning. I'm an idiot. I've got 2 more tests turning up from Amazon tomorrow so will take one Monday morning to see if there's any line progression but I'm now worrying. Probably for no reason. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Has anyone else had a dodgy stomach? Not vomiting but other end 💩?? Mines been dreadful for 3 days now. I think it was like this with my son? But it's hard to think back. Xx

YakkityYakYakYak · 30/01/2021 23:07

Congratulations everyone!

I’m tentatively joining the bus. I’ve had two tests (today and yesterday) with very faint lines. Due date would be 11th Oct, but don’t feel like I can fully count myself in until I get a proper line.

ams92 · 30/01/2021 23:17

I think we're October too! Done a few due date calculators and it's coming up with oct 4th-5th but one calculator said late September. Taken a couple of 'how many weeks' pregnancy teats which suggest i'm 4-5 weeks pregnant so I think we're looking at an October baby! We're getting an early scan in a couple of weeks so should have a better idea then!

Hi everyone! This is all very exciting :) first timer here!

yellowbeaker · 30/01/2021 23:29

Hi everyone. Can I join too. I got a BFP on Thursday- 2 nice strong lines on different brand tests and was so shocked I had to go out and get a clearblue digital which said 2-3 weeks! Dp and I had been trying for years and nothing happened so we gave up! I had an ectopic about 10 years ago so I am really worried about that happening again. Also just mega scared that it won't stick or something will go wrong. It's so scary but looks like lots of us are feeling the same way which is quite reassuring.

I have 2 teenage DC's so it's a long time since I've been pregnant!

I'm 33 and have a due date of Oct 4th.
Had some mild cramps, terrible wind, burping and nausea. This morning I felt awful but DP cooked me a lovely dinner this evening which I wolfed down .
I sent Lucy a message on FB to join the group.

Can I ask- I filled out the form online to get a midwife appointment. How long did it take them to contact you? I will need a scan around 6-7 weeks and I am 5 already so I am conscious to get this booked in. I don't want to end up in the same predicament I was last time with the Ectopic. I might just book a private one so DP can come along with me.

AmandaL7 · 31/01/2021 00:33

Hi
I hope you don’t mind me joining! I got a faint BFP on 20/01 and then re tested with a CB digital on 25/01 and got BFP 1-2 weeks. I only came off my pill on December 28th (first time TTC) after being on it for 14 years and didn’t have a period or any bleeding at all before falling. I just wondered if anyone could advise what to expect for my due date/how far along I am? I’m assuming I may need an early dating scan? Thanks in advance 😊

CharlieBH · 31/01/2021 08:39

Congrats everyone!

@BuildingThings
I've been having mild cramps now and again. Woke up at 3:30 this morning with stomach cramps which was worrying but no bleeding so I'm hoping all is okay. I had a curry last night though so hard to tell whether it's just food not agreeing with me 😂

AmandaL7 · 31/01/2021 08:53

@CharlieBH

That’s what I’ve been having for the last 10 days or so. Sometimes they wake me from my sleep and last around 10 minutes... mostly eased if I walk about or go to the loo!? Unsure if trapped wind or just stretching pains 😬 who’s know this is a whole new world haha x

CharlieBH · 31/01/2021 09:01

@AmandaL7
Yes me too! I feel reassured now as it sounds common! It's the unknown that is awful, I just don't know what to expect haha x

AmandaL7 · 31/01/2021 09:02

@CharlieBH

Yes me too! With it being my first time I literally have nothing to compare to and worrying/panicking about everything! Going to ring GP tomorrow and let them know and discuss dates etc as I have no clue 😬x

CharlieBH · 31/01/2021 09:06

@AmandaL7
Yes me too! You'll feel better once you've spoke to the doctor.
I'm a worrier as it is 😂 I don't want to get too excited as it's early days but it's hard! My sister is pregnant at the moment and I really want to tell her because she will probably make me feel better but I'm trying to hold out for the 12 weeks x

AmandaL7 · 31/01/2021 09:08

@CharlieBH

Yes you’re right I’m sure I will! Aw that’s amazing that you will be experiencing it together. I think that’s the hardest thing is choosing whether to tell people for extra support etc x

LunaDreams · 31/01/2021 09:23

@CharlieBH @BuildingThings @AmandaL7 I have had mild cramps since about 10 days before getting my BFP (which must have been time of implantation). They are still coming and going but have had no blood. Almost feel like my AF is about to come which is unnerving! I did speak to my GP though and she said nothing to worry about unless blood as well or become painful (whereas they're more niggly atm if that makes any sense?).

I've just booked a private scan for when I'm 7 weeks but only because twins run in my family and I'd rather know what earlier than later of it is the case Shock

Congratulations to all new riders...welcome to the October baby bus!

My morning sickness is starting to creep in now...really hoping it wont get much worse as managing to keep it at bay with regular snacks!

EllieRosesMammy · 31/01/2021 09:23

Congrats everyone! Joining in too :)

I'm 5 weeks today and I think my due date is 3rd of October. I've had my usual symptoms so far which is extreme tiredness and a bit of nausea. I'm hoping the sickness doesnt hit me like it did with my daughter, I had Hyperemesis through my whole pregnancy. I've also woke up with the flu today and I am soooo thirsty 😭

YakkityYakYakYak · 31/01/2021 09:49

I had a lot of cramping when I was pregnant with DD, I think it’s really common, especially in a first pregnancy and all of your muscles are starting to stretch. Hard not to let it freak you out though isn’t it!

rosepurple · 31/01/2021 13:43

Hi, I would like to join as well if that's ok Smile
I got my BFP 2 days ago and am nearly 4 weeks, due around 12th October.
I've been having cramps as well Sad, hope that is normal? This is my first baby so not sure what is normal!

Thefaceofboe · 31/01/2021 14:18

Can I join? Got my BFP this morning Grin due around 7th of October.

I don’t feel pregnant and have had no symptoms apart from hot flushes which I presumed was just me getting over covid. Can’t wait to feel pregnant Grin

NetflixAddict · 31/01/2021 14:31

I'm glad to read that a few of us have had cramping. I'm four weeks today and woke up with very mild but definitely there cramping. No bleeding though so sounds like it's normal.

My boobs are killing me today too and I'm also already feeling sick.

I've told one person (other than DP and you lovely lot) so far who asked if I thought I was having twins due to the early pregnancy symptoms, which did not help!

Peachi82 · 31/01/2021 15:30

I had a relatively good night and DS let us sleep until after 8.
Did another (cheap) test this morning (no need to save them haha) and the line is a lot stronger compared to Friday. Really reassuring. I forgot how much anxiety I have in early pregnancy.

Before we started TTC (not long, it was one shot, one hit......) I read on the NHS website that there is no reason to postpone family planning due to Covid. On my local hospital it says something completely different (dangerous, risk to baby not known, any pregnancy can be fatal to the over stretched system). Now I feel really really bad. We waited for this year to start as we thought the roll out of the vaccine will ease the pressure on the NHS over the year and by the time I will give birth or need to be seen more often, things should run a lot smoother than now.
I hope they won't say anything nasty to me during the booking appointment :-(

LauEli · 31/01/2021 15:38

@Peachi82 please don't think like that, midwifes and health professionals are under no illusion that life goes on, babies are still being made whether there is a pandemic or not. People have lots more free time 😂
You will be looked after accordingly, and like you say by the time we are due most of the population will have been vaccinated and should be more on top of the situation.
Don't let the worry steal your joy of pregnancy

SRyellow · 31/01/2021 19:50

Hi everyone, can I join? Due date is end of September and 6 weeks tomorrow. I keep feeling really anxious at the slightest thing! I’m trying to relax but it’s hard not to worry! I’ve stopped myself from testing and temping and now just need to be patient!
