Hello,
Would love to join in with this chat.

Just got my positive test and should be due about September 21st.

This is baby number 2 for us.

Baby number 1 was born April 2018 and I was ill with all day sickness from 6 weeks until the day I had her! Really hoping to feel better this time. So far symptoms are sore nipples, bad cramps, hungry, needing the toilet all the time and the main one that's annoying me is being unable to sleep!

We've recently moved into a new home so have so much still to do ready for September but at least this will give me the kick up the bum I need to clear out all the junk I don't need to make space.

I know it's very early but I'm already thinking of names. I'm hoping for another girl but my partner would love a boy... I just hope it's not twins as with one very naughty toddler, I don't think I could manage 2!

Morning everyone, I got a BFP yesterday morning and I am 5 weeks +2. This is our first baby and it doesn’t really feel real yet. I’ve had a few symptoms such as hips and legs hurting, been hungry a lot, tired, sore nipples, going to the toilet more...
We’re hoping not to tell people until we’ve had first scan but some friends know we were trying so might end up blurting it out if they ask. Lockdown will help as we’re not seeing anyone atm haha. Currently trying to stay calm as I can be quite a worrier and the idea of child birth has always frightened me. But it’s early days so for now I’m just thinking one day at a time, anyone else feeling like this?

Hopefulmummie · 17/01/2021 11:53

So Ive just booked a private scan for 8 weeks :)
A midwife rang me earlier to work out when my 12 week scan would be she said it should be 1st week of march. She told me to ring epu as they might give me an early scan due to ectopic pregnancy although another midwife told me they wouldn't unless I had symptoms. I might just give them a ring and see what they say

Hopefulmummie · 17/01/2021 11:54

@Laura2021 congratulations on your positive:)

MamaPheebz · 17/01/2021 12:07

@2021mumma are you sure it is the medication making you drowsy? The first trimester makes you really drained anyway.

mamshi · 17/01/2021 13:05

Congratulations everyone! I'm new here and I just found out 3 days ago. I'm 5+5 due around 14-15 Sept!

danigrace · 17/01/2021 13:44

Congratulations to all the new bfps!!

5+4 here today. Still very tired and nausea starting to take hold - still managing to keep up with the babycenter pregnancy meal planner up to now but had to seriously channel my inner shaolin monk to get today's fish pie and asparagus down and kept heaving when dealing with my toddler's potty of poo which doesn't normally bother me 🙈

But this is baby 3 so knew what I was in for and and one point were told we may never have kids so it's all just making me smile bc it means I'm blessed with another pregnancy that I'm totally determined to cherish and enjoy!! Feel so privileged to be able to grow my own baby, so many don't get the chance

Hey everyone, this morning I got my bfp. A total shock to us as I have a blocked Fallopian tube and endometriosis and was always told we wouldn’t be able to convince naturally. We have been trying for years and done several rounds of ivf (with one success and many failures). I still honestly can’t believe it! I don’t think it’ll sink in until we have our 12 week scan. Anyway good to see lots of bfp - really hoping this one sticks for us.

Scotti84 · 17/01/2021 16:11

@lilyj13 I’m 7+4, I’ve not had any meds cos I’m not sure what’s ‘normal’ and what’s ‘bad’ if that makes sense. I’ve been drinking ginger tea which helps a bit, and trying to distract myself from it. I’ve got another gp appt next Monday so I’ll see how things are then and ask him about it. Bit worried I’m not eating well enough too as I can’t stomach veg and am better snacking on small things, trying to keep as healthy as possible with tomato’s and things but I’m craving sweet stuff, might just be my body needs the boost cos I’m knackered though? X

InTheLibrary · 17/01/2021 16:24

4+2 here, BFP yesterday. Am finding I am so thirsty and just can’t seem to satiate it. Still hasn’t sunk in. Keep checking for AF whenever I go to the toilet.

Equimum · 17/01/2021 16:35

InTheLibrary I am really thirsty too.

I’m now about 5+5 and starting feel tired and nauseous in the afternoons. A bit worried about how I am going to get through home schooling my kids as this inevitably gets worse over the next few weeks. My eldest was a toddler when I have my second son, and I remember days of laying on the sofa while he just played and watched TV as I could barely move. Hoping it not get to that this time.

I’m also having really broken sleep. I keep waking up feeling really anxious in the small hours. Hoping that will pass soon.

Is anyone else in here ‘older’. I am 38, nearly 39 and also feeling a bit anxious about that. I was 30 & 33 when I had my other children. I know plenty of people who have had children at this sort of age (two in my NCT had second children at 41), and a friend had three between 38-41, but I’m still a bit nervous.

MamaPheebz · 17/01/2021 16:36

@InTheLibrary congrats! Have you done another test now. I remember you saying you were worried that it was faint.
I know what you mean about checking. X

FTEngineerM · 17/01/2021 16:38

Hi everyone, congrats to the new BFPs Grin

I’m feeling super sick today, I’m actually let in bed feeling mega cold and sick.

We told my DM and MIL this weekend, I wanted to share it. I can’t keep it a secret, it’s too exciting.

Scotti84 · 17/01/2021 16:52

Hi @Equimum, I’m older, 36 but will be 37 when Bub appears. This will be my first. I’m a bit worried about the actual birthing part, I’m not sure if being a bit older makes a difference in how difficult it will be, what do you think?

@FTEngineerM hope you don’t feel sick for too long, it’s not helpful on top of everything else is it 🤦🏻‍♀️

InTheLibrary · 17/01/2021 17:49

@MamaPheebz yes I did a clear blue digital! I think I just ovulated later than I thought so hormones not as high as I anticipated!

MamaPheebz · 17/01/2021 18:17

@InTheLibrary i thought that might be the case. :)

2021mumma · 17/01/2021 18:23

@MamaPheebz defo the medicine haven’t taken it this afternoon and feel great.

@Equimum I’m 39 it definitely takes it’s toll on you as you get older but I don’t feel too old I have an NCT friend who was 46 having her first and just had second at 48- she coped great so good on her

leftitlate37 · 17/01/2021 18:26

Hey @Equimum! Congrats! im 37, and this will be our first. @Scotti84 im terrified about the actual birthing part :s (just putting that out my mind!) - tbh its partly why its taken this long to get round to TTC.

LittleAurora · 17/01/2021 18:35

I think I'm 4+3. When should the Digi read 2-3 please?
Also I has some tiny tiny brown spots when whipping. Is this normal?

September 2021!
Ftm1921 · 17/01/2021 18:41

Hi everyone! I'm 5 weeks today. So far not any major symptoms, had light cramping and sore nipples and needing to pee all the time! I've not been able to sleep either but I dont know if that's more down to anxiety. I also am so bloated I look about 4 months pregnant already! Has anyone else had this bloating? Do you know if it eases? This is my first so everything is new to me. Congratulations to everyone!

mamshi · 17/01/2021 18:45

Im really always thirsty too! then having to pee every now and then.

Anyone having bad acne?

MamaPheebz · 17/01/2021 20:04

@LittleAurora you may have ovulated a day or 2 later than you thought so you could try and test again in a couple of days but these tests aren’t always an exact science. Did you use first morning urine?

Spotting can be normal but if you are worried then give your doctor a call. Xx

clm1987 · 17/01/2021 20:29

2 more sleeps @Tara835 I've got everything crossed for good news for you. It's really is a horrible situation. This will hopefully be my first child so I have no idea what a "successful" pregnancy feels like - means every twinge causes a freak out. Wish I could sleep the next week away but need to remember we can't do anything to change the outcome so have to be positive. Let me know how you get on if you're ok to do so, I'm sure we've just fudged our dates and our blood titled wombs are causing the confusion 🤞🏼💜

InTheLibrary · 17/01/2021 21:35

@mamshi earlier DH said ‘are you going to the toilet AGAIN!?!?’ Grin

@LittleAurora I had a little bit of dark brown blood on Friday. I google imaged implantation bleeding and it looked similar.

Anyone else still in disbelief? I think I’m gonna take another test later this week at this rate!!

MushroomQueen · 17/01/2021 22:22

bleugh, the metallic taste and a wave of nausea just hit me, feeling a bit dizzy again (that was a very early symptom i got same time as implantation) i really hope this doesn't continue im just shy of 4 weeks blegghh
