This morning I took another test to make sure I'm still pregnant 🙈 (which I am!) and did the online referral to maternity services. I'm feeling ok, the tender boobs seem to come and go and be worse in the evening. The most annoying thing is ever since my positive on Saturday I've been having trouble sleeping! Anyone else? I don't know if its a mix of nerves, excitement or hormones....

Bluespace · 12/01/2021 10:01

@Letsdothis06 congratulations! I’m due no. 2 on the 21st. My daughter will be 3.5 too! She was born March 2018?

I’ve felt slightly nauseous on and off the last few days. Back to work tomorrow since before Christmas 🤯 not looking forward to it!

Letsdothis06 · 12/01/2021 11:03

Hi @Bluespace! Congratulations ! My LO was due in March but very overdue so born early April. Good luck with work! Is your DD at nursery?

Bluespace · 12/01/2021 11:39

@Letsdothis06 very close in age then! My LO was due in April but was a couple of weeks early.

I’m a nursery manager, and she comes to nursery with me. Does your son?

FTEngineerM · 12/01/2021 11:54

@Curiosity101 thanks, that’s a good point actually.. this was FMU and the Sunday one was afternoon. Probably best for me to wait a little longer.

@Lozza85 me too! You’re not alone, I am tempted to do one every day but I sometimes do more than one 🤦🏽‍♀️ Even though I feel nauseous!! I can sleep either, just thinking and worrying, hoping it all goes ok. I think it’s only natural.

Curiosity101 · 12/01/2021 12:10

@FTEngineerM It's really difficult to judge if you don't know when you ovulated. I feel similar to you in that I really don't want to go and have an early scan where they say 'come back next week'. Cause I'd just spend the entire week worrying something is wrong when it could just be too early. If you can wait a bit longer you'd definitely be more likely to see something ☺️

I'm going to work out how far along I was when I had the early TA scan with my DS. I weigh about the same as I did then so hopefully if I go at the same time or later with this pregnancy then I can be pretty confident. ☺️

Scotti84 · 12/01/2021 14:26

Hi all, I had a scan last week when I was 5+5 and although it’s not recognizable as much of anything, it was clear that the fetus was there. Had another scan yesterday at 6+5 and there’s now a heartbeat. I’m so relieved as I’d had a bit of blood and pink discharge last week so had worried myself sick. I’m still having stomach aches most of the day but I think half of them are from what’s going on there inside and the other half are from wind 🤦🏻‍♀️ Still feeling nauseaus but haven’t actually thrown up yet and no real cravings as such but I can’t eat certain things, atm it’s vegetables which isn’t really helpful as that’s what I need!

Hope everyone’s doing okay and staying positive!

beckyBP · 12/01/2021 14:44

Hey ladies!

Can I join? Got my BFP on Monday and this is our first ☺️

I'm 4 + 2 and my boobs are so tender 😩 I can constantly feel them.

lilyj13 · 12/01/2021 14:45

I've got 4 lots of different tablets for h/g and hoping they will work this time, changed drs abs finally got someone who is amazing and telling all the things I've wanted to hear! Started to feel a little excited but still comprehensive

Hi, I had a positive test Sunday. Used an old test and wasn't even 100% I knew how to read the results. Hardly slept. Yesterday went to buy clear blue test including the digital week predicter. Normal test confirmed positive. Digital test suggested use first thing in the morning so again no real sleep last night. Needed a wee at 5.30 today sleepily got up and did the test and it didn't give a result, instead indicated I misused it, don't think I dipped enough of the tip in. I decided no more tests and referred to the local antenatal service, I suspect until I hear from them I won't sleep very well, but here is hoping I'm tired after two bad nights. This is my first pregnancy so at 37 and over weight I am nervous but cautiously excited.
felicityheather · 12/01/2021 15:26

Glad your scan went well @scotti84. Just the one then!

We have ours on Thursday. Apparently I can bring my partner as well as long as he doesn't have covid symptoms. It will be early but I think I'm six weeks today if all is going smoothly so keeping my fingers crossed that we'll see a heartbeat. I'm so scared.

I've been sick again today, so I'm hoping that means my hormones are on the rise. Just have to hope it's because of a healthy pregnancy. Starting to remember how horrid the sickness got for me last time... and my son found it very distressing. Could be a long year!!

Scotti84 · 12/01/2021 16:23

@felicityheather yes just one!! We would have coped if it was two but I must say I am relieved. I’m still weirded out by all the physical changes that will happen and giving birth so I’d rather experience it with one to start 😂

I hope your sickness isn’t too bad. I’ve not actually thrown up yet, but feel nauseous from midday to when I go to bed but I’ve also not been eating much so maybe that’s why. Will keep my fingers crossed that you get a heartbeat on Thursday x

123deepbreath · 12/01/2021 18:20

@Scotti84 glad everything went well with the scan!

felicityheather · 12/01/2021 18:44

Got a really heavy feeling in my pelvic area... is that normal?

2021mumma · 12/01/2021 18:48

Feels like things are getting real 6 weeks today, received date and time for first antenatal appt it will be a phone consultation with the midwife from the hospital. Also sickness has ramped up I feel sick all day everyday and had horrendous sickness in last pregnancies so called doctor today and got cyclizine hoping it makes a big difference! I also have private scan booked for the weekend so hopefully all is good 🤞🏼 Hope you are all well and congratulations to all the new BFPs

MrsKPenguin · 12/01/2021 18:52

Hi ladies. I found out 1 week ago I am pregnant for the first time 🥰 it is all a bit new and scary at the moment. I was just wondering if anyone has experienced lower tummy pain? A bit like period pains with the occasional stab!
According to the nhs calculator I am due around sept 11th ☺️
Just feeling a bit anxious about it all and so worried something will go wrong xx

Greenbks · 12/01/2021 19:58

@MrsKPenguin those sound like regular crampy/stubby lower abdomen pains in early pregnancy. I wouldn’t worry too much unless it’s too painful with bright red bleeding/clots.

@2021mumma sounds rough. I’m just over 4 weeks and not looking forward to the 6 week mark when I’m always sick. The cyclizine helped me but takes time to build up in your system and is effective if you take it regularly. Good luck!

@felicityheather the heavy feeling also sounds normal. Lots of hormones being ramped up and the bloat can affect it too. Hope it feels lighter soon

Welcome @beckyBP, the boob ache is tough! I now have to sleep with a bra on as the sides are too achey. Feels like bruised cement!

MrsKPenguin · 12/01/2021 20:02

@Greenbks Thank you ♥️ I am trying so hard not to over analyse everything. It's all so exciting but scary at the same time xx

2021mumma · 12/01/2021 20:20

@Greenbks thank you! I wasn’t sick till the 8/10 weeks before so sick from 5 weeks just seems so early! I will take them regularly finger crossed it works very soon. Hope you are doing well!

MrsMcNtobe · 12/01/2021 20:27

@felicityheather I’ve had a heavy/full sort of feeling on and off, hope it’s normal!

beckyBP · 12/01/2021 20:57

@Greenbks thank you 🥰 I'm wearing a CK bra as can't wear a real one 😂🙈

@MrsKPenguin I'm also crampy with the occasional stabby pain! I think/hope it's quite normal.

Calculator says I'm due 19th September 🥰 xx

MrsKPenguin · 12/01/2021 21:21

@beckyBP sounds like it could all just be part of the process. I really hope the next few weeks to zoom by and then Hopefully the anxiety of it all will start to calm down. I think the key is keeping busy.
I found going for a walk helped. I also discovered, some of the pain might be wind. 🤦‍♀️ the joys! Xx

FTEngineerM · 12/01/2021 21:26

@Curiosity101 oooo, good idea. I just checked I had one at 8+3 last time, saw heart beat so I’ll deffo go with the 8 week then.

@MrsKPenguin gosh, I have wind too, once it passes the en the pain subsides it’s as if it’s tender going past the uterus! Come out of nowhere. Hopefully that doesn’t last though.

Curiosity101 · 12/01/2021 21:29

@FTEngineerM Turns out I was dated at 6 weeks exactly when I had my scan with my DS. I'd thought I was 7+3 based on LMP but hadn't actually tracked ovulation. I think 8 weeks is a perfect time to get scanned, I just wish I had the self control 🙈🙉

MrsKPenguin · 12/01/2021 21:32

@FTEngineerM it's reassuring to hear that people are experiencing similar. I've found that peppermint tea and walking help a little. Xx
