@Noodles4Me I’m with you on the bloat, ive taken to the hair tye on the jeans button trick when I go out cos it’s so uncomfortable to have anything right around my stomach atm.

@meganlea it's so daunting isn't it, and Drs just 'expect' you to know everything. It's my second and I couldn't remember what to do this time and just phoned the Docs! You should be able to look up your hospital trust midwife self referral form and that gets the ball rolling as far as folic acid, Pregnacare vitamins are a relatively inexpensive way of getting what you need - unless anything has changed over the last 4 years, that's what the midwife recommends

Hiyaaa! Congratulations everyone, so exciting to see everyone’s in the same boat. We got our BFP yesterday, cycles are all over the place still BFing so I don’t quite know where we are but FRER says 2-3 weeks . Really want to book a scan to confirm dates.

I got my referral sorted to the epau finally today. My appointment is Thursday so still a little wait...

After going back and forth the the gp and the hospital multiple times I read I could self refer for recurrent miscarriages so ended up just doing that and it was a lot simpler!!

@Noodles4Me I’m 6+4 and I’m finding myself really big at night times and after even a nibble of food. I have my first wedding dress fitting tonight and I’m so worried it won’t fit or if my bridesmaid sees my boobs when helping me into my dress. My boobs are so big and veiny they look bruised even up my chest and shoulders are so veiny too. Scared they might ask questions.

No one knows yet about our news. I told my work today as I need risk assessments, I work with disabled adults who can be physical. I also self referred myself to a midwife but in the middle of moving doctors as I’ve moved house so need to wait til that’s complete before getting any letters about scans.

I have been having little streaks of blood in cm the last couple of days normally after sex. I’m assuming this is normal I’m not too worried about it. This is my first pregnancy but has anyone noticed how intense your orgasms have been since being pregnant. I know it’s a bit of TMI but literally been the best sex of my life lol

Oh god yes, the boobs. Mine are ridiculous at the minute

Is anyone else having cramps several times a day?
I get them specially in the evenings and sometimes they wake me up at night and I'm not sure what to do to ease them off

@Gadea omg yes! I was just about to post the same thing. Had cramps on the right side for the last 20 mins or so, makes me worry but I know it's normal (right?!)

@Lozza85 I see everywhere that it's normal so I'm trying to relax and wait for my viability scan!

@Luna57 ha! I remember that from last time, it was a side effect DP loved for sure. Haven’t had it this time yet so we’ll see if it’s any different.

Hi everyone! I recently found out I’m pregnant! I don’t currently have any children and my last pregnancy ended in early miscarriage. I should be 30+1 today but I’m now 6+3 my only symptom was really sore nipples, which have now disappeared today, I have also had a little bleeding the last 2 days, mainly brownish but this morning a little more red and has tapered off again. Trying so hard not to stress myself out over it. Other than the sore nipples I didn’t feel pregnant at all and still don’t. Anyone else had this?

I won't tag anyone as so many people can't remember who is who,
But I have spoken to my health provider and they booked me in for a bloody pressure check and have me some tablets for sickness and also some folic acid which are feee now your pregnant.
Usually you have to show them you exception certificate but if you say it's coming they usually let you.
I have been stuffing anxiety what helps me is having my head set on watching Netflix on my phone

hey and congrats@Lauren2906, and sorry to hear your past pregnancy ended in miscarriage. i really dont feel pregnant at all and proper stressing! had a MMC in oct so feel super anxious also! had a bit of pink when wiping when went to toilet at weekend and called EPU and they reassured me probably all fine, but obivously am not reassured...!!! trying to decide how long to wait to book a private scan - think am 6 wk today so trying to hold out for another 2 weeks! its so hard isnt it!

Thanks @danigrace. @MrsMcNtobe we have done window to the womb before in Hamilton. We have looked at abc4d in Motherwell this time, they do a scan deal for 2 scans a week apart.

@Elllicam you’re kidding! I wish I knew this, I’ve already booked window to the womb in Hamilton and it’s non refundable 😭 how far along are you?

I’m 4 weeks 5 days so I’ve got a while to go before a scan. Window to the womb was really nice, very clean and professional.

I’ve had an early scan today I thought I was 7 but measuring as 6+4. She did say it can be a bit off due to doing it abdominally.

Saw a baby well kind of and heard the heartbeat which is crazy!

Hoping the next 6 weeks is all ok and then can relax more so

Anyone thinking of an early scan I would go for it.

glad went well @Darklava09! my mind boggles how u can hear a HB this early, it's mad isnt it!fingers crossedu can relax a bit more now.
im desp to book one, going to wait a bit in case off by dates as don't want any unecessary stress if nothing to see or anything. least then if can get to nealry 8 weeks if nothing there i know for sure :s sooooo heard it here first, will try and wait until weekend after this one!!!

@leftitlate37 thankyou, congrats to you too! With my last pregnancy it was as if the second I seen the positive result I felt so nauseous constantly. The thought of every food made me feel like I wanted to throw up! Then one day it completely just stopped. EPU have booked me in for a scan on 22nd to check me over as that’s when I should be around 8 weeks, said they wouldn’t do anything sooner incase it couldn’t be seen as too small and it would just stress me out even more. I booked a private scan with my last pregnancy so that my partner could come with me with COVID not allowing dads into hospital appointments, should have been 8 weeks but when I was scanned I was measuring 5+5 but seen a heart beat! Couldn’t hear it yet but could see it flickering away, about a week later was when I started bleeding and went to be checked at hospital so see it had stopped growing at 6weeks exactly. So now I’m holding off with the private Scan and just going to go for my 8 week one incase the same happens again. No bleeding yesterday evening or this morning as of yet so fingers crossed it has settled 🤞🏻

On the topic of scans, I took another test this morning and it was 3+, sundays test was 2-3 weeks.

I really want to book an early scan but I don’t want it to panic me so want there to be something there heart beat at least. The one near me does a £70 one from 6 weeks and £45 one from 8 weeks not sure which to choose, DP says wait until 8 weeks well originally he said wait until 12 weeks hahahahha yeah ok pal. If I’m 3+ today then I am either 5+1 or 5+2 today aren’t I?

Gosh this was so much easier when I was tracking my cycle every day last time.

@FTEngineerM Those tests aren't perfect. You could be earlier and have higher HCG or further on and have slightly lower HCG. Or you could be pretty much perfect and be around 5+1/5+2.

I'm planning to have a scan at 7 weeks and should hopefully be able to be picked up on a TA scan.

Hi all! I would love to join! Due date is 17th Sept according to the NHS calculator, i had my BFP on Saturday at 11 DPO. This will be DC2, DC1 will be 3.5 in September! Felt pretty nauseous before I even tested but OK now. Only real symptom is sore boobs really. I'm super excited!
