@Scotti84 thank you. It’s always fine during the day it’s late afternoon, late evening they get bad. They are as bad as early contractions and made me feel sick as it was that painful.
My SIL who is a midwife said it may be due to my endo and scar tissue from surgeries that won’t help but to keep an eye on it. I’ll
Call the GP Monday to let them know so at least if I need a referral to the EPU I can get one as I don’t fancy going to A+E especially being in tier 4!
Hope you are well! :)

Scaredycat101 · 02/01/2021 14:30

@Darklava09 So sorry to hear about you painful cramps! 😔 Mine we're pretty intense at times in week 4 in my lower tummy and back, they took my breath away. I'd definitely get in touch with someone if they continue, just for your peace of mind!

I'm at week 5 today but everything still feels relatively normal. Starting to get quite tired by mid evening, hips, boobs are hurting on and off, excess saliva is back but otherwise feel normal in myself.

Oh, apart from my obsession with eggs and prawn cocktail crisps... Thankfully not together! Has anyone else noticed any cravings or aversions yet?

Congrats to everyone on your BFPs! So many new names to learn ☺️.

VNttc · 02/01/2021 14:32

@wednesdayrobyn I'm really trying not to get too excited but it's really hard not to :( trying to stay practical and then my mind runs away with me... Then again I haven't even booked an early scan yet, just in case I don't even get that far :(

@monicadeniro congratulations on your BFP! So many September babies! Must be a good month for it 😊

Monicadeniro · 02/01/2021 14:51

@VNttc I know what you mean, it’s so hard not to worry and google symptoms but I’m the same thing so hard not to get excited because it’s very early days. I feel stupid booking an early scan even though I’ve previously had an ectopic pregnancy so they usually give me a scan as soon as I hit 6 weeks. I think if I make it to 5 weeks I will book myself in!

VNttc · 02/01/2021 15:13

@scaredycat101
Just hit 4 weeks here :) no real cravings yet but a bit of an aversion to chocolate, doesn't make me feel sick I just don't fancy it at all! Maybe it's for the best after Christmas eh? 😂😂 Loving savoury foods and bread and butter!

Mumof42021 · 02/01/2021 15:37

Hi everyone, I got a positive on Christmas Day! Best present ever, this is baby number 4, due 1st-3rd September I think. Been feeling queasy on and off, nothing too bad, tiredness is starting to kick in and rather emotional 🤣 I cried because OH wouldn’t try my home made soup earlier... how pathetic. Oh well . Congratulations to all you guys xxx

Darklava09 · 02/01/2021 16:16

@Scaredycat101 thanks. I’ll keep an eye on them. I’m 5+6 today so I’m hoping it eases off soon.
No cravings as such had my first wave of nausea today which wasn’t pleasant. No real cravings but fancied a cheese sandwich yesterday and again today!
Still have super sore boobs feel terrible when I wake up Hmm

Piecrust32 · 02/01/2021 17:34

Evening everyone and congratulations to all

I'm tip toeing in, I've been lurking and had convinced myself ill jinx things if i posted but have come to my senses and thought it would be nice to have some where to have support

I lost twins last year (one at 15 weeks and the other 27 weeks)
So just taking things as they come and see how we go! Already taking baby aspirin and various other things prescribed by the last consultation visit

I'm estimating 13th sept due date

Thanks if you made it thought the essay!

VNttc · 02/01/2021 18:05

@piecrust52 welcome!
So sorry to hear of your previous losses :( I know what you mean about feeling as though you'll jinx things. But of course it's all out of our hands so you may as well come along for the ride with us :)

Congratulations! 😊😊

Rayraybt2006 · 02/01/2021 18:48

Just found out pregnant with DC3 due in Sept 2021 🥰

Piecrust32 · 02/01/2021 19:41

@VNttc

Thank you ❤️!

Scaredycat101 · 02/01/2021 19:47

@VNttc Aw congrats! 😀 Whaaat that's so odd I've been the same thinking about it! We didn't get as much Christmas chocolate but I've not really been teaching for it either! Bizarre! Definitely the best after Christmas, although I'm eating toast snd eggs like no tomorrow! 😂🙄.

@Darklava09 Fingers crossed for you, mine seemed to stop after a few days so maybe by early in week 6 they'll be well and truly gone! Sorry to hear about the nausea, it sounds horrendous tho a cheese sarnie must help a little ☺️. Booo, I've just bought my first ever wireless bra and I tell you what it's been a lifesaver! May try it when I sleep as well to help with the soreness.

@Piecrust32 I'm so sorry to hear about your previous losses, here is fab for support so I'm sure you'll be relieved to have joined 😀. Congrats on your amazing news and it's great you've had support from a consultant already.

@Mumof42021 Welcome and many congrats! Your post about the soup made me giggle, I love and hate the emotional outbursts that come with pregnancy 😂👌🏻. I cried the other night out the blue for no reason to my husbands confusion, we were on picking a film 🙄.

AHobbyaweek · 02/01/2021 20:39

Congrats all. Someone upthread said Thanet has to learn a load of names! So true. We might need a count or list eventually to make sense.

Told DH today. His response was oh okay. Lol 😂 he is now happy/excited but didn't know what to say. We were TTC so no surprise for him really.

Am tired today but I'm only really 3+5 so in reality shouldn't have any symptoms right?

danigrace · 03/01/2021 06:19

Congratulations all!!!

Got my BFP yesterday! Amazon primed a clearblue digital so I can see it in writing today hopefully!!

This baby would be due 14 Sept, I also have 2 DS who are 3.5 and 15 months ❤️

@Darklava09 how are you feeling today?

@Piecrust32 sending love and hugs and lots of luck xxx

VNttc · 03/01/2021 07:06

@ahobbyaweek tiredness has been my main symptoms :) I think the proper symptoms kick in at about 6 weeks? So for now I'm just enjoying my sleepy, slightly achey boob symptoms 😴😂

@danigrace Congratulations on your BFP! Lovely way to start 2021!

danigrace · 03/01/2021 07:13

Thank you @VNttc!!

My main symptom has been a tightening low in my tummy that I felt with my first two babies. I can't stop yawning either!!
Boobs are fine, they were only sore first time around, I've been constantly breastfeeding since 2017 so I'm guessing it's because they haven't turned off yet to have to turn back on!! Still feeding my 15 month old, whose older brother fed through that pregnancy too lol

Darklava09 · 03/01/2021 09:39

@danigrace congratulations! Good old prime! Can’t fault it.

Yesterday was a lot better no cramps at all! Hopefully that is it. I’m looking to book an early scan for next week Smile

Luna57 · 03/01/2021 09:48

Morning all! 5+3 today and woke up to my first bout of nausea can only manage a banana right now. I eat the same thing for breakfast every day and I’m raging the thought of it is making me feel sick now lol. My boobs also feel like they’re bruised they’re that sore. I start my new job tomorrow morning and I’m so nervous my sickness is going to get worse. I haven’t really been having cramps just an uncomfortable feeling for a couple of minutes then normal again but I have been taking magnesium so not sure if it’s down to that. How is everyone today?

Luna57 · 03/01/2021 09:50

Oh and I forgot, the heartburn! Omg the heartburn. I’m drinking milk by the litres to try and soothe it and to fill me up the hunger is real too lol.

TinyPuds · 03/01/2021 09:52

@Scaredycat101 on the boat with the eggs on toast fest!! I’m not a breakfast person at all but every day this week I’ve had scrambled eggs and avo on toast 😆 going to have a shock when I go back to work tomorrow and can’t have anything until 11 o’clock! (I start at 6:30am and aint nobody got time to wake up for breakfast at 5am 😩).

Is anybody else looking forward to having most of the year off booze? I’m really excited! Going to feel so wholesome!! 😇 dry January.. and Feb, March, April etc haha. Last year I found loads of nice alcohol-free drinks as my fiancé and I went on a bit of a health kick in the summer! Caleño was my fave not-gin! Seedlip was good also. All of the non-alcoholic spirits are so expensive for what they are though, they smell just like the real spirits but if you taste them on their own they’re just like water!! They are great with mixers though. It’s like magic! Belvoir juniper & tonic was a fave supermarket buy to have on its own (£1.50 a big glass bottle i think so don’t have to splash out on a whole bottle of non-alcoholic spirit). The tonic will probably be good to settle tummies for anybody with sickness too 🤠

Waiting for some ClearBlue digitals on Amazon Prime also @danigrace ! My fiancé is in denial and doesn’t think it’s real haha! If I don’t show him a digital result I don’t think he’ll believe it until the baby comes out 😆

catgamerlady · 03/01/2021 09:54

@Luna57 I'm totally with you on the heartburn!! I keep waking up through the night it's so bad. I've kept a bottle of rennies liquid next to my bed because I can't handle it 🤣

Mumof42021 · 03/01/2021 10:51

I’m just so sensitive! My partner just keeps telling me I’m acting odd haha. I suppose it’s out of character for me to be so emotional about soup and Eastenders. I hope I’m not like this all the way through, I hate blubbering haha

Noornie · 03/01/2021 11:01

@Darklava09 in my first pregnancy I remember having really intense cramping like you describe, I was so sure something was wrong as it felt ‘too much’ to be okay. DD will be 2 on Tuesday and is perfectly healthy :) some women just have crampier pregnancies than others I think!!!

I can’t remember who it was on here but someone else was still breastfeeding their older child too weren’t they?

This morning DD came into our bed like always for a cuddle and feed before we got up and oh.my.god. Fire nipples. I thought my nips were essentially dead of any feeling after feeding an acrobatic almost 2 year old but they were so so sore this morning! This didn’t happen in my last pregnancy than ended in loss so hoping it’s a good sign but also don’t want it to continue as I felt really bad for DD who couldn’t understand why she couldn’t feed as normal!

danigrace · 03/01/2021 13:18

@Darklava09 oh pleased to hear that, sounds good!! And thank you!

@Luna57 big hugs! Is this your first baby? Milk can actually make heartburn worse but almond milk is alkaline so can help if you're looking for a helpful drink. For nausea nibbling crackers before I got out of bed helped me previously. It's not hit yet this time but I'm sure is on it's way!

Ooooh @TinyPuds has your digital test come yet?? Could you make yourself something tonight - overnight oats or a sandwich or wrap or something you can grab and go with in the morning?

@catgamerlady sorry you're struggling with heartburn too!! I "committed" last pregnancy to having no medicines then ended up with the liquid on repeat prescription glugging it out of the bottle in the night Blush

@Mumof42021haha that made me smile emotional about soup ❤️

@Noornie yes I'm still breastfeeding. DS1 was 16 months when I got pg with DS2 and he fed throughout the pregnancy and now DS2 is 15 months and still feeding. If you haven't got it already the my expert midwife keep calm nipple balm is your best friend

wrensandrobins · 03/01/2021 17:28

I read you shouldn't have a bath hotter then 37c....

I just ran a bath and measured the temp- it's freezing!!!!!! 🤣

I don't think I will be enjoying many baths for the next 8 months
