@lucieloos they started off saying it was my blood pressure being low. But I’ve always had low blood pressure and it isn’t any lower now than normal.

So no still haven’t got to the bottom of it. Just waiting for it to get better Confused

lucieloos · 01/12/2020 16:29

@PinkPlantCase hope you feel better soon. It's not nice. I will check my blood pressure later as mine isn't normally low.

GanderousGoose · 01/12/2020 16:31

12 week scan today and am measuring exactly as I thought at 12+1! Saw baby and heartbeat, massive relief. NT is 1.7mm so I was pleased with that - just got to wait for bloods now to get risk factor. Fingers crossed.

Tatty1987 · 01/12/2020 16:46

@swiftt that’s lovely! I can’t wait for mine, getting v anxious.

BurningBenches · 01/12/2020 18:37

My private scan did not go well today.

The nuchal element was low risk, the baby was fine and wriggly but I had a huge bleed right as she was scanning. She was pressing down (not painfully) and I felt like I was peeing myself and feeling so embarrassed and hoping it wouldn't show when I stood up. She suggested I go to the loo and when I stood up she said you're bleeding. I went to the loo to clean up/cry and passed a large clot.

Went back and was convinced I'd passed baby. But she was still fine, cervix is closed, she could see the area of bleeding. Dr was absolutely lovely, really kind.

The Dr though it is likely to taper off and go brown in the next few days and be fine, but I don't feel at all sure/confident. She's offered to rescan in a few days. I want to stick my head in the sand.

swiftt · 01/12/2020 18:43

@BurningBenches oh I’m so sorry, what a horrible experience for you! Are you going to go back in a few days? Random bleeds can happen. It sounds like baby was still fine so try not to worry too much. How far along are you?

OP posts:
SarahTTC2020 · 01/12/2020 22:27

@BurningBenches oh bless you, I'm sorry you had that experience. Hopefully it was just where she was pressing and it was something which was going to bleed at some point anyway. I'm glad Dr was kind to you and that cervix was closed, definitely take her up on the rescan and hopefully it's all ok xx

BurningBenches · 01/12/2020 22:46

Thanks guys, yeah I will go back. I'm 12+3 by mind and NHS dates and 12+5 by today's scan.

I'm in bed blubbing, I think I feel worse because while in one way it was good it happened there so she could reassure me, I don't feel reassured because I kind of feel like it was too soon to be reassured. If I'd have bled at home theb gone to Epu time would have passed a bit more and May be (probably not) id feel reassured that if I was going to miscarry I would have. Whereas I'm currently lying in bed afraid to move.

I also feel sad that baby was perfect and good heartbeat and wriggly and nuchal stuff looked fine but it's my placenta bleeding.

I might call my MW but what can they do, I doubt a third scan in 3 days is recommended.

SarahTTC2020 · 02/12/2020 08:55

@BurningBenches I hope you feel a little better today

Is anyone else losing weight? I had a BMI of 32 to start with and have lost 12lb so far (am 13 weeks) I haven't been sick at all so only can imagine it's giving up the booze 🙈 just wondering when I should expect to be gaining

lucieloos · 02/12/2020 09:46

@SarahTTC2020 yes I've lost 7-9lbs but I'm really ill and have been since 5 weeks. Decided enough is enough and I've called the gp this morning to see if they can help. Going to give me a call back later.

pookypup · 02/12/2020 09:47

@BurningBenches so sorry to hear that your scan was such an unsettling experience.

I know you have a big family, but will you be able to rest for a few days?

Hopefully your midwife will be able to help more.

PinkPlantCase · 02/12/2020 10:02

@SarahTTC2020 I think maybe our bodies even out. My BMI was about 19 to start with and I’ve been gaining since about 6 weeks 🤣 haven’t eaten any differently. If anything I think I ate less in the early days because I didn’t fancy food as much.

PinkPlantCase · 02/12/2020 10:07

@lucieloos I hope the GP can help, I’ve found them much more responsive since being pregnant.

Fingers crossed for you @BurningBenches must be so unnerving, have some Brew and Cake

I’ve got another day in bed today with this balance problem. It’s the 6th day now and is well and truly doing my head in. I tried to chop some veg for dinner last night and had to give up after a few minutes. So lucky DH is working from home.

Dragonfly92 · 02/12/2020 11:13

@SarahTTC2020 I've lost 2.5kg since finding out. I haven't been eating as much as I normally do though and have no energy to do workouts, so think that number might be some muscle loss.

ChasingARainbow · 02/12/2020 12:51

Just had my scan, thought I was 12 weeks and 2 days but they've put me at 13 weeks. The baby was moving around so much they could get all the measurements so I've got to come back in 3 weeks. So lovely to see the baby and even got a little wave. Smile

Asha88 · 02/12/2020 13:10

Hey everyone,
We have a june/July UK due date group on Facebook that is completely secret so no one knows who's in there or what is being talked about.
If you would like to join add me as a friend;

Asha dee standing and I will add you in and unfriend you xxx

MarshallCleo · 02/12/2020 13:10

@ ChasingARainbow We had our 12w scan yesterday also and were put at 13 weeks, feels like a little bonus. We also received our NIPT results last week which all came back clear and found out we are having a little girl Grin Of those who chose to have the test, has anyone else had their NIPT results back yet? (if you don't mind me asking!)

BurningBenches · 02/12/2020 13:15

@pookypup the MWs were kind but very little they can do. She said call EPU if the bleeding gets worse or go to A&E otherwise just mention to your MW at 16wk telephone appointment.

Rationally I know they can't do anything anyway.

Happy2be · 02/12/2020 13:40

@Asha88 have we got 2 facebook groups going? Is this for june and july? As there is a june group going? 🙈

ChasingARainbow · 02/12/2020 13:53

@MarshallCleo we've have the NIPT as well bloods were taken 2 weeks ago on Friday and they said 10 working days for the results so we should be hearing soon. Lovely a little girl, we're finding out as well and I can't wait x

lucieloos · 02/12/2020 15:33

@MarshallCleo @ChasingARainbow we have also had nipt bloods done and will be finding out sex. Mine were only done last Friday and will also take 10 working days so hoping to hear a week Friday. Feeling pretty anxious. Congratulations on your little girl.

Snally82 · 02/12/2020 18:11

@ChasingARainbow @MarshallCleo @lucieloos we had NIPT bloods done on Sunday, they said 5-7 days for us. Feels like it been that and longer already!!

lucieloos · 02/12/2020 18:16

@Snally82 it's not going too badly here so far. I have my 12 week scan on Tuesday to break the wait up a bit. We opted for the panorama test this time which covers a few more things but has to be sent to America to be analysed hence the longer wait.

Snally82 · 02/12/2020 18:22

@lucieloos I think mine is in Rome! My 12 week is Monday :)

My nephew has rare chromosome disorder so I guess it plays on my mind a little more

Nellle · 02/12/2020 18:38

12 week scan tomorrow and I'm so nervous. The first trimester has felt like a hundred years and this week has been particularly torturous 😫
