Hi ladies, haven’t posted for a while but have been lurking and enjoying everyone’s updates.
Anyone else feeling movement yet. Think I had my first few flutters last week and the last couple of days when I lie down I’ve been getting what feels like rippling or waves across my lower abdomen. Feels really weird, definitely not gas so I think it must be her moving around. I get all excited and then convince myself it’s probably not her at all!!! Anyone else has any movement to compare, and reassure me I’m not going mad!

TerryRose · 27/12/2020 22:50

Haven't bought much at all,
I picked up a changing mat in Aldi when ttc as told myself if I have one then it will have to happen 😂🙈 and picked up two newborn baby gros but that's it. 16 weeks on Tuesday. I know with COVID it seems to be harder to find some stuff and more delays etc but I'm going to wait til the 20 week scan until I start looking at prams and cots etc

lucieloos · 27/12/2020 23:26

@Penny2020 I'm 15 weeks with my third and starting to feel flutters and very small movement. The midwife told me as it's my third would start feeling it quite a bit earlier.

As it's our third we have all the prams and cots etc so I'm just picking up the odd bits of clothes that I fancy. With our first I think we waited until 20 weeks to start getting most things.

Nesski · 27/12/2020 23:36

@TerryRose we are holding of the big things until we can go back into shops and do a trial run of the prams etc! Which will hopefully be in Feb!

Has anyone signed up to any antenatal classes? I've just registered with happy parents happy baby!

PinkPlantCase · 28/12/2020 09:50

I think we’ll wait until around Easter to really start getting baby bits and getting the nursery ready. I’ll be 30/31 weeks then and hopefully it’ll be a bit safer to mooch in the shops! I also have a birthday around then with will come in helpful Grin

Snally82 · 28/12/2020 09:58

We had a push of some prams/buggies when we knew tire 4 was heading our way... just in case this goes on for way longer than we hope! Won’t buy yet, but it helped decide which one when the time comes.

We’ve been offered a nursery wardrobe and crib for £120 today which is really tempting as brand new they’d be over £600ish

PinkPlantCase · 28/12/2020 10:22

Where can you go to test out prams? Places like John Lewis and department stores are the only places I’ve really seen them before.

Snally82 · 28/12/2020 13:08

@PinkPlantCase we went to John Lewis as they had the two I wanted to compare

Sitchervice · 28/12/2020 13:53

@TerryRose
My mother brought me one really nice second hand from FB. You can get alot of good stuff second hand. Sadly sometimes not used at all.

(Most of my maternity jeans are second hand because they are just Soooo expensive!!)

Sitchervice · 28/12/2020 13:56

@Penny2020
I've felt the odd movement. My placenta is on the front so it's to the side. Not gas (I have ibs so I know what that feels like) some defonate poke like movements.

DollyParton2 · 28/12/2020 14:14

Re. mat leave as my company is all still- and I’m guessing still will be by May WFH I’m planning on working till maybe due weeks before due date. Then taking a year off.
We know ours is a boy 💙 I got so tempted by gorgeous baby clothes I’ve gone a bit mad and stocked up on most clothes he’d need until 9 months old! 😧 Not letting myself buy anything else now.

Waitingforbabypage · 28/12/2020 16:49

Finally got round to getting some maternity bras, quite tricky being a larger size (38GG) but I found some on the Next website.
They are SO COMFY!!!

maloney123 · 28/12/2020 17:30

@curiouscat1987 hey just saw your posts. As your symptoms pre date pregnancy I would strongly, strongly recommend going to see a pelvic floor physiotherapist and/or an osteo who specialises in pelvic floor problems. I struggled with pain in and around bladder / pelvis for years along with other symptoms of overactive bladder and overactive pelvic floor and it was only when I started seeing a pelvic floor PT that I was able to get a handle on things! Hope that’s helpful, let me know how you get on x

TerryRose · 28/12/2020 18:52

@Waitingforbabypage oh love Next stuff , my boobs haven't grown that much , I was actually hoping they would as I've always small chested 😂🙈 so just wearing sports bras at the moment.

How are your bumps coming along ? Mine seems to have popped a little bit this week, I was actually afraid it was too big and panicked thinking something wrong (does the overthinking ever end )
but looked up other bumps for 16 weeks and seem to be around the same

Waitingforbabypage · 28/12/2020 19:08

@TerryRose they haven't grown too much thankfully, I was just finding the underwire a bit uncomfy.
My bump is quite big, I'm 17 weeks, this pic is of bump at 15 weeks

June 2021 part 3!
lucieloos · 28/12/2020 19:28

My bump is absolutely enormous. I'm only 15 weeks but third baby. I probably look the same as when I was 23+ weeks with first baby!

Lovethatjourneyforme · 29/12/2020 11:17

My bump seems to be up and down, thought I had a little one last week (it's got a layer of pudge to break through anyway so wasn't completely obvious) but today I've been able to fit into my normal jeans again. Hoping it pops out a bit in the next few weeks 🤞🏻 17w today x

Thats so kind of you to take the time to let me know @maloney123 thank you. I'll mention it to the doc next time i see them. Mind if i message you directly about it?

TerryRose · 29/12/2020 15:52

@Lovethatjourneyforme oh fingers crossed ! I know many who didn't pop til after the 20 so that's what I had been expecting as well , just mad how fast it can pop out of nowhere

TerryRose · 29/12/2020 16:31

@Waitingforbabypage bump looks fab!

Waitingforbabypage · 29/12/2020 16:39

Thanks @TerryRose 🥰

So made my first big purchase today- Tommee tippee have a decent sale on, got a complete feeding kit for a really good price, comes with everything- steriliser, bottles, bottle brush, thermal bags, bottle warmer, electric pump, milk storage bags, pads, cream and shields etc I think it worked out about the same as just the pump on its own! It's ace! Cannot wait for it to arrive, it will make everything feel more real I think. X

maloney123 · 29/12/2020 18:08

Yes of course feel free to message me! Xx

Sitchervice · 29/12/2020 18:40

I has a large bump. But Im thinking I may have just eaten to much 😂

RLou3 · 29/12/2020 19:31

Hi all, so lovely reading all of your posts. I'm currently 15 + 1 and due on the 21st June. I just wondered if anyone has felt their baby kick yet? And when it happened? This is my first, so excited to feel something!! Xxx

Dragonfly92 · 29/12/2020 20:24

My bump has definitely popped the past week and there is no hiding it now.

@RLou3 I think I have been feeling very tiny movements. I'm 15+5 and first pregnancy so not 100% sure what they feel like but from reading, it can be like bubbles/whooshing/butterflies. I've felt a few bubbles which pretty sure wasn't wind and last night I felt a proper weird whoosh feeling on my left.
