I have similar pain @curiouscat1987, also suffering with IBS badly. I think everything down there is so tender by now that the normal stretching and moving around is more painful than you'd expect. Although I think I'd get checked for bladder pain actually.

TerryRose · 26/12/2020 14:50

@curiouscat1987 just saw your message, I think I'm experiencing similar to you maybe but maybe your IBS is exasperating it?? Definitely say it again to them if it's like causing you discomfort the whole day

Humpty11 · 26/12/2020 15:07

@TerryRose I sometimes get some pains when I stand up that feel like somethings pulled but I think I remember having it with my son when I was pregnant from about the same time. I was 16 weeks on Wednesday.
I also think I may have felt some movement earlier today but it could be wind seeing as I’ve eaten so much the last couple of days, especially as I have an anterior placenta 😂🤷🏼‍♀️

curiouscat1987 · 26/12/2020 15:08

@Opticabbage @TerryRose yes the ibs is definitely made worse by being pregnant, however the pain and symptoms from that feel different to the other pains (although they could still be linked of course!)

Have you found much that helps? I used to rely on charcoal tablets to help with painful trapped wind but cant have those now.

Optica - Ive been under investigation for the bladder stuff for a few years now, no progress yet. Just worries me that its this bad already,abd worried about how bad it'll get it the future, especially around birth!

Burningbenches · 26/12/2020 15:20

@humpty11 and @terryrose I do get a pulled muscle feeling if I stretch or sneeze sometimes too. I remember getting these in my last pregnancy but they feel really disconcerting sharp pain at the time.

Lovethatjourneyforme · 26/12/2020 16:21

@TerryRose The sharp pains when you stand/sneeze/roll over in bed etc is normally just round ligament pain. I get it occasionally and it takes me by surprise but it's harmless.

Also the pain in your crotch is also normal, Google often says it occurs later in pregnancy but for me it was my very first pregnancy symptom, with both my pregnancies.

TerryRose · 26/12/2020 17:03

@Lovethatjourneyforme @Burningbenches @curiouscat1987 thanks ladies, just one of those other pregnancy things I had no idea about to add to the list 🙈😂 I suppose because I haven't felt anything physically only nausea and sore boobs and sometimes hip pain in bed so anything to do with tummy crotch area made me more aware !

Lovethatjourneyforme · 27/12/2020 09:26

I think I can feel movement but I'm really not that sure! I'm 16+5, posterior placenta, people tend to say it feels like bubbles but mine doesn't feel like that, feels more like moments of pressure from the inside out and in a specific spot. But it's so sporadic and subtle it's hard to be sure. Really hope it is movement 😊🤞🏻

swiftt · 27/12/2020 09:32

Hope everyone is doing well!

I’ve got my gender scan today, woke up from a dream that it was a boy but I honestly have no idea. So excited to find out!

@swiftt how exciting!!!

I got a few baby clothes for Christmas and now I just want to buy babystuff - Sigh- anyone else the same?

Nesski · 27/12/2020 13:10

@Sitchervice I think I'll be buying a few baby-grow type outfits for when it's here and then make further purchases later, given how hot it was this year in June he (we're having a boy!) Might just need his nappy Grin

@swiftt let us know when you're ready to share!!

lucieloos · 27/12/2020 13:19

@Sitchervice started buying a few bits in the sales now. Got some Christmas outfits ready for next year and some babygros and little outfits.

Sitchervice · 27/12/2020 13:21

@Nesski

I'm having a boy tooo!! ☺️

Tuey91 · 27/12/2020 14:23

@reservoircats my sickness stopped at 12 weeks. Slowly felt like I have more energy as the days pass. How exiting it is your first. Very lucky you get to work from home, I work late evening which are taking their toll more then anything. I want to work as close to my due date as possible, as I want as much time off with the baby as I can get. What is everyone else's plans with maternity leave?

lucieloos · 27/12/2020 14:26

@Tuey91 I'm also hoping to work right up to due date but I'm lucky that I'm home working during covid too.

swiftt · 27/12/2020 15:10

It’s a girl! So lovely to see everything again, I’m over the moon.

lucieloos · 27/12/2020 15:21

@swiftt ahh how lovely! We are having a little girl too!

Sitchervice · 27/12/2020 15:25

@Tuey91

We can't afford to have to long off sadly... (unless we finally get to move house Covi put a stop to us buying one 😭)

Im planning on having at least 4 months with baby then swapping with daddy so he can have time off with baby too.

Lovethatjourneyforme · 27/12/2020 17:04

I had been trying not to buy stuff, just cos it feels quite early still and we're moving in the next 3-4 weeks, but I'm getting very tempted by the sales! Might get a few bits that won't be too much trouble to pack and move with.

swiftt · 27/12/2020 17:37

@lucieloos aw congratulations! It’s so nice to be able to say her now, instead of it. Blush

Anyone else getting back and hip pain? Been getting lower back pain since about 12 weeks! And sometimes also both my hips and my sides. Sometimes it’s more discomfort but sometimes it is painful to move around! I don’t have any cramping in my tummy (some stomach pain from IBS but that’s always wind or needing the loo).
I have started to get a bump now so I’m assuming I’m stretching! Also have an anterior placenta and the NHS site says it can cause lower back pain, the joys

Bs93 · 27/12/2020 18:16

Also, did anyone get bought baby things for Christmas? I’m 15 weeks tomorrow and we got a baby grow, jumper, teddy and some little slippers. So cute but feels so early and we’ve not bought a thing yet

lucieloos · 27/12/2020 18:19

@Bs93 didn't get bought anything stuff for Christmas but am happy to start buying my own bits of clothes etc in the sales now. I'm 15 weeks.

Sitchervice · 27/12/2020 18:31

@Bs93 my mum got us a pram at 6 weeks 🤣 but yeah I got a few baby grows. Just makes me over excited

Tuey91 · 27/12/2020 22:02

@Sitchervice I breastfeed my second for 6 months so will want at least that off to hopefully do the same, nothing ever goes to plan tho so who am I trying to kid 😂. @Bs93 nothing for Christmas off anyone but we have been ordering some bits in the sales. A pram at 6 weeks 😂 that made me chuckle lol. Trying not to go mad with buying as I'm only 14 weeks tomorrow. We have also booked an early gender scan today for 16 week. Never done that before, what has others experiences been with the early scans?
