Hope you’re scan goes well today @ChasingARainbow and good to hear that you’re feeling better.

I started dipping into maternity clothes about 2 weeks ago, before that I just borrowed a few of my mums things that were a few sizes up. Maternity tights were the first thing I bought and now I have a jumper and some jeans. I only have 2 pairs of non maternity trousers that still fit.

I also bought some dresses a while back in the Black Friday sales and most of those are starting to fit now too.

Most of my tops are still okay but I wear one of those bands underneath to cover up my belly if the top isn’t long enough or rides up.

Coats have been interesting, I’m normally a size 8/10 and my mums size 14 coat just about fits over my bump with a jumper on. Might have to find a maternity coat after Christmas.

Waitingforbabypage · 22/12/2020 07:29

I'm already in maternity clothes. Regular jeans dug in and made me feel sick from her early on, so I made the switch at about 8 weeks

PinkPlantCase · 22/12/2020 07:29

For context I’m 16weeks today Smile

BlondePotter · 22/12/2020 08:03

No maternity clothes yet at 16+1 but I don't know whether it's because I've lost a stone. My coat was tight over my belly and hips yesterday though, and I can't tell you the last time I wore jeans. I only wear joggers and leggings so probably get away with it more haha.
Trying to hold off on clothes shopping as long as possible

lucieloos · 22/12/2020 09:46

Yep I'm on baby 3 so at 14 weeks already have a very noticeable bump and have been on maternity clothes since abut 8 weeks too.

Waitingforbabypage · 22/12/2020 09:50

16+2 with baby number 3, I was bloated right from the off, now it's a noticeable bump.

Sitchervice · 22/12/2020 10:03

Test results all came back clear. And we are having a boy.

At 14 weeks I am wearing my maternity clothing as my bump has err... Exploded out of me. I blame it on part lockdown pudge 🤣

Snally82 · 22/12/2020 10:49

@Sitchervice congratulations!!

I’ve given up trying to wear my jeans (14+3). I’ve bought some maternity leggings from Love Leggings which are fab. Also a couple of maternity dresses in sales. Other than that anything baggy or stretchy!

Waitingforbabypage · 22/12/2020 11:06

Do any of you use any apps to keep a little track on baby? Like showing what sized fruit they're the equivalent of? It's quite cute!

LBee2020 · 22/12/2020 11:07

Good morning everyone. We had a harmony test last week as our NHS sonographer was unable to get the screening measurements at our 12 week scan. Got the results yesterday and all good and we are expecting a little girl. It has made me so much more excited!!

I'm 14 weeks today and not bought or wearing any maternity clothes yet. I'm usually an 8/10 and finding that any size 8 trousers are uncomfortably tight so living in my stretchy size 10 jeans and baggy clothes.

I transitioned onto pregnancy workouts today from my usual joe wicks style and it made me feel like a geriatric person. She had me sitting on a chair to do things that I could easily do standing up but I guess it's all about safety and not putting too much strain on core and abs?! If anyone else does any youtube pregnancy workouts, can you recommend any trainers that arent super irritating to listen to?

lucieloos · 22/12/2020 11:19

@Sitchervice congratulations that's brilliant news!

@Waitingforbabypage yes I use pregnancy+ app

@LBee2020 congratulations on your little girl. We are also having a girl too. Very exciting.

Sitchervice · 22/12/2020 11:36

@Waitingforbabypage @lucieloos I also use pregnancy + app it's sooo good

BlondePotter · 22/12/2020 11:38

@LBee2020 I've started the Results with Bump program from rwl. If you search @resultswithbump on Insta you'll see. They do quite a few free live insta workouts or you can pay for the plan. They def don't have you just sitting on a chair in tri2!

Bs93 · 22/12/2020 12:22

Hi everyone, I haven’t posted for a while but I’ve been lurking!
I’m now 14 weeks + 1, had my scan last week and it was amazing 😊 and the NHS screenings all came back low risk, so that’s good!
We’ve started to tell people now. Has everyone else been telling family and friends? I still find it scary as I’m such a worrier!
Having an early gender scan in a couple of weeks, really looking forward to that.
They didn’t mention it to me but in the letter from my ultrasound it says I have an anterior placenta. Has anyone else had this? I so want to feel baby move ASAP so it’s a bit of a shame, but from what I’ve seen it’s early days and placenta could easily move before 20 week scan.
I’ve got a little bump now! So exciting, thought it was bloat at first but it’s stuck around. Can’t wait for it to grow 😊

Sweetmad · 22/12/2020 13:27

@Bs93 glad the scan went well! Yes I’ve been told I have anterior placenta And most probably won’t feel movement until 20 weeks however have definitely been feeling something along the lines of bubble sensations about 2-4 time’s a day, and my friend who’s had A baby before said the bubble feeling could be movement. But yes placenta can move before 20 weeks

Bs93 · 22/12/2020 14:44

@Sweetmad thank you!
How far along are you? That’s good, would love to feel a bubble feeling, any feeling would be nice I think 😊
I suppose if it doesn’t move it’s not the end of the world but will probably see at the 16 week gender can anyway!

lucieloos · 22/12/2020 15:15

@Bs93 I had an anterior placenta with my second baby. It was probably 18-20 weeks before I felt movement but then it felt just like the first. I had to have extra scans because of the placenta and if it didn't move by I think it was around 30 + weeks they would have had me in for a csection but it did move around late 20s I think and all was fine. I think most of them end up moving at some point.

Sweetmad · 22/12/2020 15:18

@Bs93 I’m 14+2 so still early ish but definitely showing a bump now and my favourite jeans no longer fit 😂😂all fun and games haha

ChasingARainbow · 22/12/2020 15:28

Had the scan this afternoon and it went well- I'm a little bit further along than I thought, they've dated me at 15 weeks and 5 days so baby due 10th June. We know from the NIPT that it's a girl and the sonographer said everything looked as it should, hoping I start to relax a bit now.
After needing to wear my maternity leggings last night I managed to fit in my normal heals today ok so guess I'd just had a big dinner 🙈

June 2021 part 3!
Waitingforbabypage · 22/12/2020 18:18

Has anyone ever had braxton hicks?
I didn't with my other 2 but I think I'm having a few now. My bump suddenly gets really hard and heavy and I feel a bit faint, then it goes as quick as it comes on.
Are they actually harmless or do I need to be ringing someone?

Burningbenches · 22/12/2020 18:48

@waitingforbabypage I've just checked my posts from my last baby group and I had them from around 17wks with baby 4. Just going hard really, nothing else. He was induced at 40wks due to size but showed no signs of spontaneous. The BH carried on throughout my pregnancy. I've not had any yet at 15+3.

If worried though do give your MW a call x

Burningbenches · 22/12/2020 18:49

Oh and I didn't get them with 1 or 2. I did with 3, to the disappointment that on my due date with her I had loads, was sure I was in labour, then they stopped and didn't start again til i was induced at 42wks 😭😭😭

Waitingforbabypage · 22/12/2020 19:00

Thanks for the reply @Burningbenches I'm 16+1.
I'm not massively worried, I'm just a bit uncomfortable and the faintness freaked me out a little.

Ivybutterfly · 22/12/2020 19:12

We have the same due date @ChasingARainbow 🥳

ChasingARainbow · 22/12/2020 19:30

@Ivybutterfly ahh, brilliant. I was thinking about dates for breaking up for maternity leave earlier today, will probably go off at the end of May, hoping it's starts flying by once we get to January x
