@MrsH2019 I have no idea how to send you a pm but I would like to join the fb group if possible x

RainbowRED81 · 23/11/2020 21:18

Thanks Sally! And nice to know I’m not alone. I’m also using the cyclogest pessaries, twice a day vaginally. I thought this would help me relax more this pregnancy but I’ve read that they can delay a miscarriage and it keeps playing on my mind. Obviously they won’t cause miscarriage but they could slow a potential loss down. I just really want the 3rd Dec to hurry up so I can know for sure if this pregnancy is viable. I’ll be crossing everything for you on the 7th x

Notyetthere · 23/11/2020 22:08

I have all the symptoms going and I can't wait to go into 2nd trimester. Everything and everyone stinks. DH stinks. DD stinks. Our house stinks. I now even hate my deodorant. I'm constantly on the verge of being sick. Food tastes of nothing I like anymore and drinking to keep hydrated has become a problem. I'm worried about not drinking enough. I could put up with the cramping but the nausea and heartburn are something else. This is my 3rd pregnancy but I still can't get used to this.

And don't get me started on the spitting. Anybody else suffering from this? I cant swallow my own saliva without gagging on it. I'm glad I'm working home as I remember it being awkward at work last time.

I'm sorry it is a ranty one from me but I'm feeling rotten right now. Feeling like a hangover for all my waking hours. And it all stinks.

DressingGownofDoom · 23/11/2020 22:14

@RainbowRED81 @Sallyjo27 I'm also taking the cyclogest after 4 consecutive losses. It does worry me a bit too that I'm kicking the can down the road, but doctor knows best I guess!

MrsJJones20 · 23/11/2020 22:17

Hi all, new to the thread!

I'm 6+5 weeks pregnant with my first after a year of trying Smile It's reassuring to read through everyone's symptoms, I've had extreme tiredness and bloating but that's about it. Kind of hoping I'll be lucky on the sickness front but there's still time Grin
Waiting for my first call with the midwife on 10 December, and really struggling to keep this secret!!

@MrsH2019 I've sent you a PM to join the Facebook group x

CC81 · 23/11/2020 22:21

Does anyone know HOW to send a PM?

Can it be done via the MN Talk app, or does it have to be via computer browser?

MrsH2019 · 23/11/2020 22:59

@Cloverghirl I’ve sent you a PM. @CC81if you click on the three dots at the end of the persons

WingingIt2021 · 24/11/2020 06:57

@Lollipop87im so glad you said that about the admins! Im on another one where I was made admin and now we have made it not visible 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Sweetpea12 · 24/11/2020 07:26

I’m starting to feel like I’ve taken on nausea for women who have none 🤪 it’s constant nearly all day along with a headache that makes the nausea even worse. I’m very grateful to be pregnant but my goodness two weeks of it I’ve had already and it’s extremely draining. I work in a day nursery and have to say a big well done to anyone pregnant with other children at home because the struggle is real 😂

Notyetthere · 24/11/2020 08:19

@Sweetpea12 I feel you. Just woken up and I feel like my stomach is in my mouth. Is it just me or is anyone else suffering from hating their own saliva?

Sweetpea12 · 24/11/2020 08:25

@Notyetthere that’s how I feel too yesterday I had sort of a dry throat then the first time my mouth felt saliva I was nearly sick. I feel awful complaining but it’s not easy

Kg87 · 24/11/2020 08:39

Im 6+2 and I feel like the nausea has just hit me today too, I have a niggling headache and looking at my computer screen is making me feel sick 😫

BKB27 · 24/11/2020 08:44

@Sallyjo27 @RainbowRED81 im taking cyclogest pessaries as well as lubion injections. I didnt know they could delay a mc. Having had 2 already im hoping theyre doing more good than anything else. Lack of symptoms doesn't help either. What a crazy time. I wish there was more connection with midwife/clinic in these initial weeks!

Notyetthere · 24/11/2020 08:51

@Sweetpea12 don't feel guilty about having a little mourn. We are all grateful to be pregnant but the journey to having these babies is an uncomfortable one for some. We are sharing the pain. That is why we have these groups, to support each other; not to tell each other off to suffer in silence and be grateful.

Knittingwithdragons · 24/11/2020 10:27

Can I join the constant nausea complaint circle? So overjoyed to be pregnant but really bored of being sick to my stomach. Not throwing up (yet) thank heavens but I am starving and nauseous all the time. Really struggling to cook as some smells just make it worse. And DH is away so it’s all on me which is leading to some slightly bizarre meals (which then take me ages to eat as you guessed I still feel nauseous)... so far fruit is best (if I could live on apples I would) but any tips from veterans very much welcomed.

strawberrycherryblossom · 24/11/2020 10:53

@Knittingwithdragons my best advice is to eat what you fancy, when you fancy it. Don't worry about whether it's healthy/balanced/makes sense. And if all else fails just make sure you're getting enough fluids in.

I lived on ice lollies and full sugar fizzy drinks in small sips for a while. Always look out for dehydration but your body is more resilient than you think x

Blughbablugh · 24/11/2020 11:11

I've just been eating carbs to be honest. Anything healthy is just a big no for me at the moment which is a shame as I was in slimming world prior to getting pregnant and eating really healthy. Its rubbish that I just don't enjoy any food at the moment. I was like this with my dd and vowed to eat healthier this time which hasn't happened. She is now a very healthy and energetic 3 year old so can't have done her any harm!Grin

Thank you! That’s really reassuring.

DressingGownofDoom · 24/11/2020 11:31

Best think for morning sickness is salt and vinegar crisps and a tin of cold red coke.

luxxlisbon · 24/11/2020 11:38

@DressingGownofDoom I feel you on the red coke! I'm really struggling to find any food appealing right now and I'm in this never ending cycle of actually being sick, then feeling sick because I can't eat anything. I find full fat coke gives me enough of a sugar rush and eases me back into being able to eat.
Dread to think what it is doing to my teeth but a can a day for the past week is the only way I've survived.

I'm currently doing a little bowl of porridge with a bit of sugar right now and its going down a treat. Earlier in the week I couldn't do milk so it would have been a no no but right now I can't face any more crackers or rich tea. I've been trying to think of bland inoffensive things that feel a bit more like "real food".

AliceinBunniland · 24/11/2020 11:53

Is anyone else finding they have a sour taste in their mouth? I've heard of the metallic taste and I don't think I've ever had that but I definitely have a sort of unpleasant taste which makes me want to eat something sweet though overall I'm favouring savoury foods. I was going for salt n vinegar crisps but seek to have gone off them now which is exactly what happened in my first pregnancy.

DressingGownofDoom · 24/11/2020 12:53

Can I ask those taking cyclogest are any of you getting hot flushes?! I started taking it a week ago and the last couple of days my face just suddenly starts flaming hot...lasts for about 5 minutes.

Mish20 · 24/11/2020 12:54

Hi all, it's my first pregnancy due 14th July. Has anyone else been getting a gurgling feeling in their tummy and sick if they dont eat regularly??

Mish20 · 24/11/2020 12:55

@dressingGownofDoom yes I get that randomly too!

Char899 · 24/11/2020 13:10

@Mish20 yep I’m permanently hungry
