Sounds like a perfect idea ❤️

happylittlechick · 22/11/2020 15:54

Anyone got any good decaf tea recommendations? I don't particularly like the one I'm on at the moment but don't think 5cups a day of regular would be a good idea.

Cloverghirl · 22/11/2020 15:55

@cakecakecheese do you have your scan booked yet? X

cakecakecheese · 22/11/2020 16:10

My scan at my IVF clinic is on Wednesday and my first hospital scan is in January x

NamechangeTTC · 22/11/2020 16:35

Blood taken. Now a waiting game.

BKB27 · 22/11/2020 17:20

Hope all goes well @NamechangeTTC
@happylittlechick I use sainsburys decaf earl grey, flavour makes up for lack of caffeine!

NamechangeTTC · 22/11/2020 17:35

It's risen. It's almost trebled in 46 hours.

I'll definitely give earl grey a try.
NamechangeTTC · 22/11/2020 20:13

I don't drink tea or coffee but on caffeine free diet coke now.

I'm hoping to hear a scan date tomorrow to see where this wee bean is.

WingingIt2021 · 23/11/2020 07:07

Morning all.

I have read through some of the posts and would love to join? I've also requested to join the FB group.

I'm due 21 July based off lmp and am 5+5 today. I've got my first booking appointment next week (3rd Dec), a private scan 21st Dec and my NHS scan 14th Jan. I had to go for an early scan an EPU to check it wasn't eptopic (it wasn't) last week. They saw the sac and yolk but it was too early for a heartbeat. I've been doing some HCG progression testing but after I have seen good progression and got my 3+ on CB have decided to stop. Apart from cramping early on I havent really got any symptoms. I'm starting to feel like I might be getting the start of nausea, the idea of food makes me feel 🤢, but I dont have it properly....yet.
This is my first so I'm super nervous and trying not to get attached. I'm 33, living in London and working from home given covid. So far I've only told my 3 best friends

happylittlechick · 23/11/2020 07:38

Is there a fb group? How do I join?

MrsH2019 · 23/11/2020 09:01

@happylittlechick hey, if you drop me a PM i can add you to the Facebook group, and anyone else who wants to. Xx

MillyJS · 23/11/2020 10:47

@WingingIt2021 Hello, you sound like me! 33, pregnant with your first and totally winging it 😂

I'm 5 + 3 according to my Ovia app, due 23rd July. I've got my booking appointment on 17th December but I don't think I get an NHS scan date until after then so I've also booked in for a private one for when I'm 9 weeks.

I had quite painful cramps but they've completely disappeared now and I feel completely normal which is fairly worrying 🙈 Feel like I'm waiting for some major nausea to kick in.

WingingIt2021 · 23/11/2020 10:52

@MillyJS oh yes pretty much identical! Yeah private scan at 9 weeks sounds good. I'll be 9+5 at my private scan. Praying it will all be okay and I can tell my mum Xmas morning. I'm the same, had cramps which have gone. Got lower back ache and get waves of very small nausea but nothing major. Which obviously worries me something is horribly wrong 😂😂 where are you based?

3rdtimelucky2019 · 23/11/2020 10:58

Just had a private reassurance scan. Measuring exactly to my dates of 8+6. EDD 29th June but was late with little boy so anticipating July birth. In complete shock, I'd convinced myself it was another MMC.

hopefulowl · 23/11/2020 11:01

Hi all,

Just jumping on to say hello! I'm due my second July 20th... my first is only just coming up to 8 months (born in the first lockdown, April this year)... so I am really hoping that by July next year things are somewhat "normal" again...

We are a bit older than average (I'm just about to turn 35 and OH is 41) so we knew we wanted a small age gap... but maybe didn't expect it to happen the first time we tried 😂 (took a year with first).

Anyone else on here going to have a small age gap between babies? 🙈

MillyJS · 23/11/2020 11:31

@WingingIt2021 Same here! It's so strange not having any idea if what you're feeling is normal or not. I have no point of reference 😂 I'm based in the midlands but my sister's in London so I visit frequently (well, I did pre lockdown).

My only symptoms at the minute are slight cramps if I get up too quickly and I'm having CRAZY dreams...

Are you planning on waiting until the NHS scan to tell others if all goes well? I'm planning on telling immediate family at Christmas & everyone else later. Just hope it all goes ok 🤞🏻

@3rdtimelucky2019 Congrats! That's wonderful news 😊

@hopefulowl Welcome! I'm having my first so no close age gaps here but I'm sure someone will be along soon who has x

Boredinthehouse12 · 23/11/2020 12:23

@3rdtimelucky2019 congrats on the successful scan! Ive had a MMC too so know how much of a relief that must have been.

WingingIt2021 · 23/11/2020 12:54

@3rdtimelucky2019 congratulations amazing news!!

@MillyJS ah nice great you come here often. I went for a long walk to get some fresh air and suddenly had the fear I could feel blood down there. Obviously there was nothing....🤦‍♀️🙄
So I'm having a private scan on 21st Dec and I'm then going to tell close immediately family over Christmas. Not ideal and would have rather waited, but it will be impossible to keep it a secret! But we won't tell wider family and friends until post the NHS scan so mid-end Jan. If Christmas wasn't in the mix I would definitely keep it a secret but it isnt going to happen....

Candyflosscrochet · 23/11/2020 13:11

Just had my scan....measuring exactly as thought at 7w3d. Little flickering heartbeat seen. All appears good.
Still a bit reserved as not passed the tine time I list the last one, but trying to be positive....new pregnancy, new life, no reason to think there's anything untoward.
Have booked my nipt test for a few weeks so will I think I'll start to relax if that all goes well. Xx

3rdtimelucky2019 · 23/11/2020 13:12

Thanks for the congrats! I had two miscarriages then my little boy (11 months) so really didn't think I'd have a normal pregnancy. Still can't get my head around it. Left a voicemail with the midwives about booking in. Fingers crossed will have a 12 week scan pre Christmas but if not I'll pay privately again.

MillyJS · 23/11/2020 16:28

@WingingIt2021 Yeah same here, if it wasn't for Christmas I wouldn't tell anyone either. Not sure how I'd have kept quiet at work though (I'm working from home at the moment), we're always organising stuff that revolves around wine 🥴😂

@Candyflosscrochet Aw it really does look like a little gummy bear! Can I ask what a nipt test is? I honestly have zero idea what I'm doing or what I should be doing 🙈
