I hope everything is okay @Hopefulmummie @marplemead I believe many women have spotting and bleeding in pregnancy and it doesn't mean anything untoward but I know it's scary

marplemead · 03/12/2020 19:30

@Hopefulmummie I'm pretty sure it was red blood with DD, but can't remember exactly. Do you have anyone who can go to the scan with you? If I can get a scan tomorrow, I'll be going alone as DH needs to look after DD.

Thanks @AliceinBunniland You're right - everything I have read suggests bleeding is quite common.

I don't think I'll be getting much sleep tonight.

Hopefulmummie · 03/12/2020 19:42

@marplemead yeah my husband can go with me. Aww that's awful he can't come with you. Is there anyone else?

marplemead · 03/12/2020 19:46

@Hopefulmummie that's good. You'll want someone there whatever the outcome. My best friend came with me when I ended up in A&E with my first mc, and it really helped.

It's not ideal, but I'm okay going on my own. We live very close to the hospital, so he could pick me up with DD if it's bad news. I'm not sure I'll even be offered a scan. Covid has made an already difficult situation harder.

Hopefulmummie · 03/12/2020 20:25

@marplemead I know they are alot stricter. The only reason I have a scan is cause I had ectopic in June so they done a scan at 6 weeks to rule out ectopic. Pregnancy was in right place but no embryo yet so they kindly brought me back in 2 weeks

FlossyFae · 03/12/2020 21:43

Hey,

I’m new to mumsnet and came across this group. I’m pregnant for the first time and due on the 14th July. I have only told one friend so far, we are going to tell family at Christmas!

Hopefulmummie · 03/12/2020 23:56

@marplemead unfortunately I'm on my way down to the hospital. In the space of half hour I had a big gush of blood and lots of clots it was awful. Explained the really sore cramps tonight. They said they probably can't scan me tonight but will see what's going on x

Mish20 · 04/12/2020 08:18

@FlossyFae Congratulations! You have the same due date as me! It's my first time too 😊

Hopefulmummie · 04/12/2020 09:40

Scan this morning confirmed a miscarriage. Sac was completely gone x

MaryLola · 04/12/2020 09:49

I’m so so sorry @Hopefulmummie. Sending lots of love your way.

marplemead · 04/12/2020 12:59

I'm out too. I've just had my scan and no heartbeat, so looks like a mmc (baby stopped growing at 6 weeks). I'm devastated, but glad I have found out now rather than at the 12wk scan.

Good luck everyone.

AliceinBunniland · 04/12/2020 13:02

I'm so sorry @Hopefulmummie and @marplemead Flowers I hope you have some real life support

Hopefulmummie · 04/12/2020 13:08

@marplemead I'm so sorry to hear that :( I hope you are ok. Take care of yourself xx

Sweetpea12 · 04/12/2020 13:11

So sorry @Hopefulmummie and @marplemead sending lots of love your way Flowers

Scottishskifun · 04/12/2020 15:03

Sorry to hear about losses.

I have been quiet as I have spent the majority of the last 3 weeks in bed due to low blood pressure. Had my booking in appointment over the phone been told by the midwife that I'm still green pathway at the moment but likely to have some additional scans/checks due to placenta issues with my first (nearly ruptured and I had high blood loss).
Just waiting on the scan date but might have to go alone if its after nursery finishes for Christmas as we have no childcare options

Runnergirl1 · 04/12/2020 17:08

@Hopefulmummie and @marplemead I am so sorry you are both going through this. It’s a fear of mine as I too have been there before. I hope you have good support around you, I found it easier to talk about it rather than bottle it up. Sending lots of love and hugs. 🤞🏻 To rainbow babies in the near future xx

Char899 · 05/12/2020 19:45

So sorry @Hopefulmummie and @marplemead take time to rest and heal Flowers

NamechangeTTC · 06/12/2020 14:47

So sorry @marplemead

lozjane2020 · 06/12/2020 18:47

Hi,
I hope you don't mind me posting on here, first timer over here!
I'm 6+5 if I'm adding correctly! We just thought we would try as I really didn't expect it to happen, but it did! I feel so drained, my nipples are unbelievably tender & nausea & sickness has hit me like a train.. any tips & tricks of surviving? 🙈 I can't believe how tired I am!! I knew before I even took my first test, because I couldn't stop going to the toilet & again so so tired, which is unlike me!
Anyway hope everyone else is doing wonderfully, I have my first midwife appt on Tues xx

FlossyFae · 06/12/2020 20:06

Hello, congratulations! I’m a first timer too, experiencing everything you are, I’ve no advice but you’re not alone. I suffered with really bad headaches at the start but realised it was the prenatal vitamins!

I’ve got the emma diary’s app and the Ovia pregnancy app. I find it really informative and helps you realise why you feel like you do. I’m 8+4 and saw the midwife for the first time on Tuesday!

Scottishskifun · 07/12/2020 13:05

@lozjane2020 we all wish their was a magical wand for the sickness and tiredness! Tbh it's about working out what works best for you I find ice cold water helps, eating little and often, nibbling on things like oatcakes and avoiding getting too warm.
Some swear by ginger nut biscuits or ginger tea but both pregnancies this hasn't worked for me.
As for tiredness nap when you can.

I struggled last pregnancy and this one so far with both plus dizziness so unfortunately I have spent a lot of time working in bed and lying down generally which is definitely not ideal with a toddler but thankfully my husband is a fantastic dad who is very understanding and happily takes the reins of looking after our toddler!

RainbowRED81 · 07/12/2020 22:19

Quick update from me. I had my scan at the EPU on Thursday. I was convinced it would be bad news as it usually is. After 9 losses I find it hard to be positive. But it looks like the progesterone and aspirin are working miracles and baby has a heartbeat! We all cried tears of joy in the room (the nurse who did my scan knows me well as I've been there for the majority of my miscarriages). She made an exception and let my partner come into the room for a couple of minutes so he could see the baby. He sobbed too! It was an incredible moment.
However, I need to stay calm and not get too carried away as I've been dated 6 days behind where I thought I should be. I track all my cycles and know exactly what day I conceived so I'm hoping it's normal to be dated a bit smaller. I should have been 6wks 6 days but the nurse said 6wks exactly. My next scan is Christmas Eve and I'm praying everything is progressing as it should. It would be lovely to be able to share with family on Christmas Day if all is well.
Having no symptoms last week and worrying now seems silly as I feel awful this week! Nausea and tiredness has hit me hard!
I'm sorry to all the ladies who have lost their babies. My heart goes out to you all. But please don't give up hope. Your rainbows will come x
