As the other thread was about to be full, I thought it made sense to make part 2!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Not sure. I've had a very dischargey pregnancy but this ran down my legs and had no texture etc.

I've to keep a eye on it, keep checking my pad.

Safxxx · 18/12/2020 07:58

@OnNaturesCourse Gdmorning hope your ok? Any more leaks? Xx

babydust2412 · 18/12/2020 17:02

@charlou89 I have the exact same pressure/pain very often at the moment and I'm 33 weeks xx
Very normal my midwife says and could be SPD ❤️

babydust2412 · 18/12/2020 17:04

@OnNaturesCourse how are things now? Xx

Char41zam · 18/12/2020 23:03

@OnNaturesCourse I had a bit of browny discharge today but I have had exactly what you had before and worried it was my waters I think sometimes it’s just watery discharge because I have regular scans and my waters are fine, have you had anymore of it since?

OnNaturesCourse · 18/12/2020 23:07

Sorry ladies, had a crazy hectic day.

Two rooms in the house got flooded when a pipe burst, and I had a fall. Argh.

Bump is fine, no more leaks, no more pressure but I do think he has flipped as I'm pretty certain he's pushing his head against my ribs again.

jbx10 · 19/12/2020 08:23

Sorry I fell off the thread, glad to see everyone is ok although the cheeky little babies are making us more & more uncomfortable. Won't be long before they're here! ❤️

I have been suffering quite badly with piles/constipation. Was happy to see some of your recommendations on this! Nice to know I'm not the only one.

Most big things are bought now & I'll be washing all her clothes when I finish for mat leave.

Something that has been bothering me and was hoping to get your advice, this is our 1st baby I'm hoping to breastfeed but I have no idea what I need to pack. Should I bring bottles & formula in case I am struggling when in hospital? Also would you suggest I buy breast pumps or anything yet or wait until she's here? Xxx

jbx10 · 19/12/2020 08:24

@OnNaturesCourse oh no what a nightmare!! The last thing you need right now glad it's been fixed xxx

OnNaturesCourse · 19/12/2020 10:06

@jbx10 I planned to breastfeed my first, but after an induction taking 3 days, a long labour and a difficult birth neither of us had it in us to persue it when in the hospital. We did try, but she wouldn't latch at all.

The hospital gave us small bottles of formula which were perfect.

I was told I could try breastfeeding again once home and settled (the next day) but again she turned her nose up, and did so for the next few days.

She ended up bottle fed, and we were left with a heap of breastfeeding gadgets and gizmos (that I'd spent a small fortune on..)

Id definitely just get the minimum just now and see how things go. Make sure DP is aware of the things you'd like should it all go to plan so he can pop out and pick things up once bubs is here xx

jbx10 · 19/12/2020 10:14

@OnNaturesCourse thank you! That's exactly what I was worried about because the pumps etc are not cheap and if it doesn't work out don't want to have wasted the money buying them all.

I will get a few bottles etc. Since we will need those at some point anyway and then at least we have them just in case 🙂

We have a 3D scan booked today - little miss has been so active this morning but I bet she'll be fast asleep by the time we go for the scan 😂 xxx

Safxxx · 19/12/2020 10:55

@OnNaturesCourse Glad to hear no more leaks....but instead you had a flood ehh oh dear, hope all is cleared and your ok after the fall. Xxx

Safxxx · 19/12/2020 11:04

@jbx10 i had planned to breast feed my other kids, but i just was'nt producing much milk...so stuck to formula.
I will be trying again this time, but have bought bottles and formula just in case.
By the way for some breast feeding mums the milk is'nt there at start, and many hospitals don't give you the pre made formula in bottles no more, so best you buy a couple of bottles and maybe a few ready made bottles of formula to take with you.
I have bought about 8 pre made bottles, but 1 bottle should last atleast 3-4 feeds as they have very little feed in the first few days.
Hope your 3D scan goes well later on, how luck you get to see little babe Xxx

OnNaturesCourse · 19/12/2020 14:27

@jbx10 oh exciting, I hope she starts dancing around for you! I have mine tomorrow but have stupidly booked it for mid day when little boy is usually really quiet! Plenty sugar, cold water and wee brisk walk beforehand!

jbx10 · 19/12/2020 14:36

@Safxxx that makes sense thank you. I'll get a few in the hospital bag just in case don't want to be in the hospital stuck with no other options!!

3D scan went well thank you! Loved seeing her again, although she was awkward and hiding away for the first part. We did get to see her yawning & even a little smile so was worth it!!

Xxx

jbx10 · 19/12/2020 14:37

@OnNaturesCourse hope yours goes well tomorrow!! I stupidly booked mine in her usual quiet time too but I drank plenty water and ate some fizzy sweeties before and she was moving around. She's head down so hopefully she stays that way now! Xxx

OnNaturesCourse · 19/12/2020 14:37

That's amazing. I'm quite excited for mime now.

I have a "4D" one booked - anyone know the difference between that and 3D? I assumed it was the same thing lol

Safxxx · 19/12/2020 17:05

@jbx10 Awe thats great you got to see her smile and yawn ❤

@OnNaturesCourse hope your Scan goes well tmro Xxx

jbx10 · 19/12/2020 19:33

@OnNaturesCourse I think the scan itself is 4D - which I think basically means a 3D video. Then the pics are 3D xxx

OnNaturesCourse · 21/12/2020 09:07

Well scan went well and it seems my placenta has moved out the way!

Internal scan in January just to make double sure but the lady yesterday was "99%" sure it was out the way enough and baby's head was down below it now. He was proper tucked in so it was quite hard to see him a lot, did get a little smile and a frown though plus he opened his eyes and was practising his breathing already 😍

Safxxx · 21/12/2020 10:12

@OnNaturesCourse great news your placenta is out of the way in good time. Xxx

jbx10 · 21/12/2020 17:02

@OnNaturesCourse that is good news for you glad to hear it's moved.

Aww that is cute that you were able to see him practising his breathing and even a little frown!

It's just hitting me that once Christmas is over it won't be long at all until our babies are here ❤️

Has everyone chosen their baby names? We've had one we liked from the beginning and then never really spoke about it again so pretty much decided but I feel like I should try and think of some more options!! Xxx

charlou89 · 21/12/2020 19:11

Hey everyone. I'm due in feb currently 31+1 and from my growth scan I am measuring on the 3rd centile. I was measuring to big that's why I had the scan and now measuring to small. Suffer with anxiety so my mind is doing over drive. Got to have another scan in a couple of weeks. I have also just read on my notes that I have a anterior placenta. Is this anything to do with it. Or is anyone else measuring to small? Any advice would be appreciated many thanks. Xx

jbx10 · 21/12/2020 20:18

@charlou89 congratulations on your pregnancy 😇 I am not sure about the anterior placenta i haven't come across that before. But I am also measuring small, on the 10th centile at my last scan. I was really anxious too when they told me. Have my next one on Wednesday.

I would have thought the midwife or consultant should have explained the anterior placenta with you. It might be worth giving her a call to chat through it with you so she can explain if it is linked. I know it is easier said than done, I would try not to worry & speak to your midwife tomorrow to find out more xxx

Stef92 · 21/12/2020 20:53

@charlou89 I have anterior placenta and have been told it means I won't always feel his kicks and he is more likely to come out back to back but it's quite common and there's nothing to really look out for as far as I know. I was measuring slightly ahead at my 28 week appointment but not being seen until I'm 32 weeks next week

wannabe123 · 21/12/2020 21:01

An anterior placenta just means your placenta is at the front and not near your back. You only need to worry about where your placenta is if it's low. I have an anterior placenta and at my scan my baby was on the 97th percentile! The scans and bump measurements are known for not always being precise and doctors allow for a 10% margin of error if I remember correctly.
