@PipTed I'm craving a curry now! It's getting a little late but my hunger is back.

Spoke to midwife and turns out I'm showing signs of early labour or the latent phase as they say. She said from the sounds of things, it seems like things are progressing so she might be here sooner than I think. I hope so. I'm soooo ready!!

Hi ladies. Not sure if it's too late to join this group. But I'm 41+1 with no sign of baby. Had a sweep attempted yesterday but was told my cervix needs shorten and is facing posteriorly. Literally going out of my mind and just want baby to hurry and come!!!

Anyone have any tips for managing heartburn/indigestion?

Girls super late post but my waters have gone!! I was having a contraction and heard a pop! It didn't gush out but rang up and has the loveliest midwife that said I should go in so they can check. Wasn't visibly obvious but they did a swab test that confirmed they have gone. Should go into labour naturally by today if not by Monday then I'm getting induced. Boy are these contractions more painful than the ones I've been having up until now. I hope I can cope 😭 they're currently 5 minutes apart. Wish me luck!

@MrsSmith2020 It might be worth calling your GP if the usual things such as gaviscon etc aren't helping, I know a few ladies mentioned on here a while back they were prescribed medication (omeprazole I think) which has helped them manage it x

@kkr168 they broke my waters at 8pm started the drip at 10pm and at about 2.30am I was ready to push.
It was bad but the contractions weren't completely unbearable until 2am after they upped the amount of synto.
Managed on gas and air but I'd highly recommend epidural for inductions because the contractions are thick and fast.

Nothing here last last. Another day of waiting for me.

Ladies I will write a proper update soon but just to say I had a very good birth with no intervention. If you haven’t already get the Freya app. I breathed through my contractions and labour calmly. Also tens machine for home.

Curry hasn’t worked its magic yet! 🤣 but I did start getting some tightenings last night and timing them on freya and said I was in and out of established labour. Think it was just indigestion though if I’m honest! But at least I have practice with the app!

Baby is back to back girls. Labour pain progressed so fast and I'm only 2cm but in tears from the agony I am feeling they've moved me up to ward for better pain relief. Thank you all for your kind comments will keep you all updated 💕

@PipTed - I had a curry last night too. No magic here, either. 40+1 and this baby is showing no signs of escape: I am definitely on track to be the person that goes 2 weeks overdue. I figure if I eat a curry every day though ONE DAY it'll have worked ;-)

@EithneBlue I’m just behind you at 39+3 and I feel the same. 🙈
