Congratulations on the babies! I love her name @LRHRN. And good luck @Asianchick6693 you’re so nearly there!!

I had another hellish night of proper contractions, only to fizzle out again. I have a midwife friend so I’m considering asking for an unofficial early stretch and sweep to see if this baby can be given a nudge.

Amyyy1 · 22/11/2020 10:09

@Wildtimes No mine isn't yet, I'm due 2nd Dec so still a little while to go but that doesn't stop me wishing she'll arrive a bit sooner😂

lc86 · 22/11/2020 10:28

Wow what a busy night for the group ❤️ congratulations ladies!! xx

lc86 · 22/11/2020 10:30

@Asianchick6693 I'm so jealous, we have the same due date! good luck today xx

MrsSmith2020 · 22/11/2020 10:40

@Wildtimes

Thanks for welcoming ladies. *@Amyyy1* I'm having a boy, who's clearly to comfortable where he is. Is your baby here? *@MrsSmith2020* currently losing my mind, I really didn't want to be induced but looking like its heading that way or c section. Is your baby here?

Congratulations to all those that have given birth!!!

Hi! I'm due on 16/12 but booked for a c section a week beforehand. No sign of baby yet, just the insomnia, aches and pains and the PILES! Oh the piles 😂
confused107 · 22/11/2020 11:00

Ah congratulations @peachypetite and @LRHRN I love the name. 38+3 today and suddenly realising that the baby could come at any time. Back for a scan and consultant appointment on Friday at 39+1 and I will be given a date for induction on or before my due date so not long for me. Thank you @LRHRN for sharing your experience of induction as that's the way I'm going. @asianchick6693 hang on in there, not long for you to go now!

Nic2908 · 22/11/2020 11:17

Oh my god what a busy night. Incredible but also feeling very real for the rest of us. @LRHRN gorgeous, congratulations. So so lovely.

@peachypetite omg!!!!! That is how its done. Congratulations. Cannot wait to hear more.

@Asianchick6693 you got this!!! Do it for the back to back gang!!!

Such a lovely morning to log on.

Amyyy1 · 22/11/2020 11:43

What are people doing to help with itching?? These past few nights I have not been able to sleep for longer than 20 mins at a tome cos it's so intense 😭

Babyhope98 · 22/11/2020 12:55

That severe type of itching especially at night isn’t the norm in pregnancy. You should contact your midwife they’ll want to check you liver levels look up ICP x @Amyyy1

Asianchick6693 · 22/11/2020 13:03

Sorry @LRHRN forgot to say congratulations I'm so happy for you ❤

Guys thank you all for the messages. Been a rough couple of hours, only 3cm. The contractions are so intense even the midwife can see but unfortunately they've gone back to every 5 minutes. I've lost the rest of my waters and mucus plug. I've had paracetamol, codeine and morphine took a while for me to be able to just about bear them. Just need to encourage her to turn. I'm perfectly fine in between contractions. Hope everyone is doing well.

phe694 · 22/11/2020 13:29

@LRHRN congratulations lovely, love her name 💗

MsBee13 · 22/11/2020 14:14

@Asianchick6693

Girls super late post but my waters have gone!! I was having a contraction and heard a pop! It didn't gush out but rang up and has the loveliest midwife that said I should go in so they can check. Wasn't visibly obvious but they did a swab test that confirmed they have gone. Should go into labour naturally by today if not by Monday then I'm getting induced. Boy are these contractions more painful than the ones I've been having up until now. I hope I can cope 😭 they're currently 5 minutes apart. Wish me luck!
Woohoo!! Hope it goes fast now. Good luck 👏🏼 xx
MsBee13 · 22/11/2020 14:14

I’m a mum Grin
Did you just have a baby too? Congratulations! That was quick 🙏🏼 x
MsBee13 · 22/11/2020 14:20
@EithneBlue I’m just behind you at 39+3 and I feel the same. 🙈
I'm joining your club ladies. 39+3 and still nothing. I'm sure it will be my luck to be overdue 😅

MySafeSpace · 22/11/2020 14:36

@Amyyy1 @Babyhope98
I've had itching under my armpits and round my groin, mentioned it to midwife a few weeks back and she said it's probably due to sweating and being hot, is it worth phoning up triage to ask again as I don't have a further midwife appt till late next week?

Babyhope98 · 22/11/2020 14:45

I think it is typically on the soles of feet and hands but can be everywhere. Armpits and groin causing itching because of sweat does make sense.. If it’s not an intense itching and isn’t keeping you up or worse at night (which is typical of ICP) it doesn’t sound too concerning. But you could ring triage just for peace of mind, see what they suggest x @MySafeSpace

MySafeSpace · 22/11/2020 14:57

@Babyhope98 ok thank you, it is annoying and persistent but doesn't keep me awake as such. I might just give them a call to see what they say as it is new for pregnancy and nothing I've ever experienced before

Babyhope98 · 22/11/2020 15:15

I would give them a call if it’s persistent and annoying you x @MySafeSpace

LRHRN · 22/11/2020 16:13

@Asianchick6693 how are you getting on? I hope things have progressed for you and you have your baby.
Good luck to all you mummy's having early labour symptoms ❤️❤️

NaomiB79 · 22/11/2020 16:39

@peachypetite @LRHRN congratulations on having your babies....amazing news! Xx

Awkes · 22/11/2020 16:53

Probably been asked already but how are people handling visitors? We’ve decided to isolate but once husband goes back to work I’m thinking we can loosen the boundaries slightly. Just not sure where to draw the lines. Do i only accept outdoor visits/no cuddles/must wear a mask etc. So hard to decide and a minefield to make it fair to both sets of grandparents

Pinktruffle · 22/11/2020 17:03

Congratulations @peachypetite and @LRHRN. I hope you are both recovering well and baby is doing ok! Being a mum is the best slice of chaos 🥰

@Awkes I haven't let anyone visit yet, we've done quite a lot of face timing. I was the most cautious throughout my pregnancy and didn't go out at all. I am less worried now, especially for baby as from what I know, it's very rare for babies to get ill. I am very conscious that having had a section, if I got the virus now, I would be screwed as coughing and sneezing is very difficult.

I am allowing my parents to visit us, they are isolating for 7 days at the moment so they can come and visit us. I won't be letting anyone else come till after Christmas when I'm better recovered - plus the little one will have a better built immune system.

Awkes · 22/11/2020 17:18

Thanks @Pinktruffle. I definitely want to isolate for at least a month-ish. Think my issue is that I’m not too sure about how to open the door to visitors fairly and safely and DH isn’t offering up much in discussing so I’m just getting a bit overwhelmed. Bloody covid 🙄

jalu47 · 22/11/2020 17:26

Wow, just logged on, what a busy day! Congrats @LRHRN and @peachypetite !! Hope all is going well @Asianchick6693

@Amyyy1 where is your itching? I've had INTENSE itching, mainly on the soles of feet for two weeks. It's so bad at night, it's had me in tears. I've had two blood tests and am back in tomorrow for a third as my ALT is slightly raised although not enough yet for them to think I've got cholestasis. The midwife says I can take anti-histamines and these have helped a bit but if it is your feet would recommend ice cold water before bed as well as caLamine lotion. Also keep your feet uncovered I.e. out of the duvet at night. Mine is spreading to my wrists and belly now and I'm ripping my skin apart - is the main reason I want baby to come now!
