@Asianchick6693 I've been the same, it's so disheartening when they fizzle out.
It all sounds very positive and could mean labour is imminent as your body is obviously trying xx

LRHRN · 19/11/2020 09:53

@alphabetti I was supposed to have a sweep on Sunday but they couldn't reach my cervix but they did tell me to keep walking to encourage labour so if you can manage it I'd probably walk as it may speed things up for you.
I'm being induced with my 3rd on Saturday and my youngest is 9 so I've been told similar to you about your body resetting and that's making me slightly nervous as I don't want the induction to take days.
I've never been induced either xx

Asianchick6693 · 19/11/2020 09:59

@LRHRN I really hope so as long as it's normal then I just have to let it run its course. Hope today's better for you x

Babyevictionimminent · 19/11/2020 10:13

@Asianchick6693 really sorry to hear it was an uncomfortable night. Hopefully all those pains will have been working hard at softening your cervix. My cramps completely stopped at about 10pm and I managed to sleep. Still feel sick, off food and DH is steering clear of me this morning because I’m in a murderous mood. If nothing happens tonight then I’ll write this off as a slow building labour, and accept the fact it will be another week or so longer!

alphabetti · 19/11/2020 10:15

@LRHRN thank you. Yes midwife did say it could only be done if cervix was favourable. And yes I’m trying to have a little walk each day so hopefully it will help. My other 2 were born at 39+4 and 38 exactly so I don’t really expect baby to make an appearance this week but I’m getting so impatient haha

Asianchick6693 · 19/11/2020 10:18

@Babyevictionimminent mine were on and off all day yesterday then started getting intense and regular from 2am and then finally stopped around 5:30am and it's been on and off since. I've had loose bowels since yesterday too. I understand the murderous mood, DH has been really good but I just feel like I can't be bothered to converse with anyone in person right now 😂 I just want to sleep!

LRHRN · 19/11/2020 10:18

This wait is just horrible isn't it?
Every little twinge makes you think "ooh it's time" I've been very very lucky sleep wise, I've had to go to the loo 15+times but always go straight back to sleep. I think I've had 1 night of insomnia. I've only got 2 nights to get through before the sleepless nights so hopefully they are kind to me

PipTed · 19/11/2020 10:33

I hear you guys! I have promising pains each day I wake up; tightenings, back ache that radiates to the front, etc, then by the end of the day I just feel uncomfortable and swollen.

I go to the toilet like 8262910 times a day now as the pressure is unreal! Making my daily walks interesting. Nobody tells you about this bit, assuming we’re all very slowly gearing up for it - but my patience is wearing thin. 😑

Kj1010 · 19/11/2020 10:34

Hi ladies just back from midwifes baby still breech new that but heart etc all perfect she said she still confident he could move in to the right position before the csection date the 7th told me to still do these moves on spinning babies breech website but also said on the day I can ask for a scan to see if he has moved as if he has I can cancel the surgery and just wait for nature to take its course half of me wants that but I'm suffer with anxiety so much I feel if I get myself into that headspace of having a csection then he moves I really dunno what I'd do tbh also I am seriously considering of having my tubes done at csection aswell as I'm 42 with my 4th child I really think that's it for me baby wise as this one wasnt exactly planned but a a lovely surprise anyone and my partner defo said no more after little man is born so now I am confused what to do in regards to csection v natural if it does come to that scenario

peachypetite · 19/11/2020 11:02

I’m so sick of the constant toilet trips!!!

MsBee13 · 19/11/2020 11:27

@kkr168

I woke up at 1am in agony, not from labour (I wish) but from this awful carpel tunnel. It just seems to be getting worse & worse, the pain was unbearable & nothing would ease it, just holding onto the hope it will vanish once baby arrives.
My carpel tunnel is the same. Now I'm losing the feeling in my fingers.
MsBee13 · 19/11/2020 11:29

@PipTed

This final bit is so hard! The suspense is killing me! How do we take our minds off d-day when we’re this close?!

I’m 39 weeks today, feel like a ticking clock. stopped looking for any signs now as I just feel disappointed when things don’t progress - feeling so deflated!

I'm 39 weeks today too. And no signs of labour whatsoever! I made a peace with the fact I might have to be induced at 41+5. But really hope baby will come before that. The days are dragging now. Yes, I will like a ticking bomb too 😅
peachypetite · 19/11/2020 11:49

I’m not surprised some of you are feeling murderous, sounds like a horrible long, uncomfortable latent labour phase!

Asianchick6693 · 19/11/2020 12:03

How is everyone's energy levels? I just feel like my arms and legs have no energy. The exhaustion is real. Even if it was down to lack of sleep, I don't feel sleepy tired if that makes sense just like my body has no energy to do anything right now.

Nic2908 · 19/11/2020 12:54

@Asianchick6693 maybe take this down time to try and re hydrate and get some protein in you even some caffeine and try and rest.

So glad to hear some of you are suffering carpel tunnel too, its horrendous isn't it. I'm so fed up 3rd trimester has finished me I think. I can't imagine how you girls that are so near the end are feeling.

Asianchick6693 · 19/11/2020 12:58

@Nic2908 thanks I'll try to but appetite is pretty non existent right now. I've been taking spatone daily with juice which are these iron supplements as I've been low on it throughout the pregnancy which could explain why I'm feeling this way tbh.

excitednerves · 19/11/2020 13:10

Congratulations on all the new babies!

I’m 37 weeks now and desperate for something to happen. I had a false alarm last week so I’ve been walking loads to try to speed things up but the discomfort is unreal as baby is engaged. Also suffering carpal tunnel, it was only in my right hand at first but now in both.

I have a growth scan today so I’m going to ask about the process from here on as my first was a preemie at 33 weeks, I e never been this pregnant before!

excitednerves · 19/11/2020 13:12

Anyone else worrying about induction? My friend was in for 3 days last year being induced and I can’t bear the thought of doing that on my own in the current climate. It’s my worst nightmare.

Pinktruffle · 19/11/2020 13:17

Sorry, the past few days have been a whirl wind, we are home now.

Congratulations @december2020!

My section recovery is going well so far. Not too much pain from the actual section and I'm getting around ok. The worst bit is the soreness of my womb contracting and the effects of the trapped wind which is not painful but really unpleasant. Coughing is awful on your section though. Other than that, I'm managing quite well on paracetamol and Ibuprofen. So well I forget to take them and probably only have them 3 times a day for paracetamol, once or twice for the Ibuprofen.

Baby was amazing in hospital (he still doesn't have a name) he just slept and I would wake him to feed. Last night was our first night at home and came as bit of a shock as he was up crying a lot. Don't get rid of the puppy pads ladies, my little angel managed to soak through his Snuzpad bedding last night when he did a mammoth wee, the waterproof mattress protector had to go in the wash and the puppy pads are current protecting the Snuzpod!
Baby will only settle on me at the moment as he is in a new unfamiliar environment and he has spent the past few days with me, he cries with DH who has taken it really hard but because he wasn't allowed to visit, baby just isn't familiar with him and wants comfort from me. I felt awful as DH said to me last night that he feels like a terrible dad as baby just cried with him. He seems to be getting used to his daddy this morning though which is brilliant.

Nic2908 · 19/11/2020 13:31

@excitednerves me. I'm debating a section over an induction if it gets to it..especially if baby is not engaged or anything like that. Purely for the fact I need my partner. But then I've not done this before so no idea what I'm talking about.

peachypetite · 19/11/2020 13:34

@excitednerves after reading the nhs page on induction I want to avoid one at all costs 😫 it just seems so artificial, unnatural and if I do go so overdue that I need one I’ll definitely be requesting an epidural! Can you request a c section over an induction?? @Pinktruffle glad you’re home! I’ve heard chewing gum is good after a c section? I’m sure baby will soon bond with dad!

LRHRN · 19/11/2020 13:37

@excitednerves I'm getting abit worried about mine. I'll let you know how it goes on Saturday 😬

excitednerves · 19/11/2020 13:47

@Nic2908 @peachypetite @LRHRN I’m glad it’s not just me.

Selfishly I’d like to not go overdue purely so that baby has separate birthday and christmases 😂 I’d hate to only get one present opening day, even if the stuff is bigger. Maybe she can be like the queen and just have her birthday party in the summer.

But reading the NHS stuff it doesn’t even seem like inductions are hugely successful. I’ll continue my walking and generally trying to shuffle baby out in her own time.

excitednerves · 19/11/2020 13:48

Good luck for Saturday @LRHRN

Kj1010 · 19/11/2020 14:02
