Woken up to terrible acid in the throat

Dee96 · 16/11/2020 02:45

Hi all just an update my induction was going so smoothly, waters got broken at 2.5cms and contractions were literally ontop of each other. All was looking hopeful to be home sweet home by the end if the night until baby took a funny turn and her heartbeat dropped. She was quite distressed at this point from the intensity of my labour, and tbh so was I from having the whole of delivery suite in my room! I was completely out of it at the time but my waters kept gushing even though they had been broken and I knew instantly something wasnt right. We chose emergency c section route and baby is now currently laying in my arms a little chubster weighing 9.10 lbs. Glad I chose c section at the end because there is no way she was coming out of me at that weight, and it's scary to think what she would of been full term! On the flip side everyone on the ward loves her since shes all cheeks and rolls 😂 thanks all for the good lucks despite the whirlwind in the middle I'm just grateful were both safe and sound Grin

Amyyy1 · 16/11/2020 02:59

@Dee96 Congrats on your little girl!!! Sounds like c section was deffo best and safest option for you both. Hope you and baby are doing well. Thank you for updating us!! 🥰

LRHRN · 16/11/2020 03:59

Congratulations on the arrival of your baby and sorry it didn't go as smoothly as you'd hoped.
Who doesn't love a chubby baby 😍
Has she got a name yet?

Babyhope98 · 16/11/2020 06:37

Congratulations on the birth of your little girl @Dee96 💕

december2020 · 16/11/2020 06:53

I'm still catching up on the thread!
Though I've been having weird back and low pelvic cramps and pressure (I'm 36 weeks tomorrow).

It started around midnight and I figured it was Braxton Hicks but it's been going on through the whole night. It's my first so I have no idea if this is a normal part of pregnancy or if I should call my midwife pronto?

Has anyone else experienced this?

december2020 · 16/11/2020 06:56

Congrats @Dee96 ❤️

cherryappl · 16/11/2020 07:17

Congratulations 🥳 🥰💙 @Dee96

cherryappl · 16/11/2020 07:17

*💖

cherryappl · 16/11/2020 07:19

@december2020 i had this sometimes not throughout the whole night though definitely call your midwife if your concerned that's what she's there for I'm sure it's normal

LRHRN · 16/11/2020 07:23

@december2020 I'm pretty sure it's normal as I've had it for weeks. I think it's pressure of baby moving down and all the extra weight but if you are concerned phone your midwife xx

december2020 · 16/11/2020 07:35

@cherryappl @LRHRN thank you both! It's definitely put me more at ease! It just started out of nowhere and just started cramping at regular intervals all through the night no matter what position I lay in. Just called the hospital and they've said to call back in an hour if it hasn't subsided as they're trying to determine if it's just a "normal cramp" or a "contraction cramp".

cherryappl · 16/11/2020 07:39

@december2020 I'm a ftm too and I remember like a month ago I was getting bad cramps in my belly and my back and literally thought I was in labour 😂😂 cause Ive never been pregnant before I didn't even know what braxton hicks was supposed to feel like everyone says it's not supposed to be painful but mine were very painful which is why I was convinced I was in labour lol. I was panicking so much I rung triage and I went in turns out it was just braxton hicks so don't worry it's completely normal. Allways get checked out if your concerned or worried x

peachypetite · 16/11/2020 08:03

@Dee96 congratulations. You must be exhausted, your body has been through a lot! Hope you and your baby are recovering well today. Flowers

Kj1010 · 16/11/2020 08:04

Morning all congrats @dee96 on birth of your bubba I've had enough now lol this heart burn is getting ridiculous now I'm so tired but just cudnt sleep with the acid in throat and stomach very uncomfortable
Think it may be time to ring docs see if they can help just thought I was doing so well as per the cramps myself having 3 kids before this one I always was getting braxton hicks around 36 weeks I do now and they are quite uncomfortable but painful yet but I think little man is still breech I have a feeling he ain't gonna move little sod and I to am gonna end up csection but I pray I'm wrong come tomoz at appointment just hope they do a presentation scan like doctor said but I can say now I'm in my last 3 weeks now lmao cannot wait to have him here either way and to get my body back

NaomiB79 · 16/11/2020 08:10

@Dee96 congratulations on the birth of your baby girl! 💗. Glad she's here safely and I hope you are both recovering well after the birth. Enjoy every minute with your precious baby xx

december2020 · 16/11/2020 08:30

@cherryappl oh god!! It's so hard isn't it trying to figure out what's 'normal' and what isn't! This has now been ongoing almost 9 hours, gah! Running a hot bath to try ease it. The hospital said to call them back around now if it's still going on so will do that if the bath hasn't helped. It's definitely moved more to my lower back now.

I don't know how I'm supposed to work through these cramps today!! 😭

Snowwhite2020 · 16/11/2020 08:50

@Dee96 fantastic news- congratulations! 9.10lbs, how fabulous!! Enjoy every minute and glad that you and the little one are both safe and sound xx

peachypetite · 16/11/2020 08:51

My pelvis is killing me this morn. It was sore last night before going to bed but usually by the time I’ve had a night of sleep it feels better. Wonder if baby’s head is further down.

kkr168 · 16/11/2020 09:05

@Dee96 Congratulations, that weight is impressive x

Went for a walk yesterday, my back & calf's have been so sore since, it wasn't even a long walk!! Have the midwife this morning & a few errands to run, but planning a nice soak in the bath after to hopefully ease the stiffness.

Jwl45 · 16/11/2020 09:35

I have missed a lot on this chat in the last week.....
@dee96 Congratulations on the birth of your beautiful baby! Enjoy every minute. Hope your recovery goes well. Take it easy.
I cannot believe my little girl is a week old today!! I'm not sure where that week went. I'm a lot more mobile now and the scar area is nowhere near as tender although still taking it easy. I will be glad to get rid of the clexane injections and compression stockings though! Breastfeeding is getting less painful with the latching on... But I'm apprehensive at times of
Latching on. I do hope this passes.
@msBee13 yes a group of sorts would be lovely. I think it's good to share any worries and also share our wonderful babies born in this weird year of 2020

LRHRN · 16/11/2020 09:44

@Kj1010 don't panic, I thought exactly the same. I was adamant there was no chance this baby was turning she'd been transverse for over 20weeks and she has shocked me and is fully engaged now. I was 37+4 when this was confirmed so you've still got time lovely lady.
My midwife used to piss me off keep saying there is still time for her to turn but she was right.

The pains are horrible, we're all at the moaning stage now cause we are so ready for these baby's.
I'm suffering bad with "fanny daggers" 😂 it's like she's got a taser and keeps zapping me it's awful but apparently a good sign that changes are happening to my cervix

LRHRN · 16/11/2020 09:46

@MsBee13 that's a lovely idea but I'm afraid I don't use Facebook either. I'd be happy to keep in touch with everyone though

MsBee13 · 16/11/2020 09:48

@Dee96 Congratulations! ❤️
