@Dee96 as suggested definitely try to get some sleep before things get going, you will need all the energy you can get. Good luck x

Kj1010 · 15/11/2020 10:28

@Dee96 gl hon sm jel lol just want my little one here now

peachypetite · 15/11/2020 10:41

I’m not even due for another two weeks so found it odd. I never hound friends who are pregnant, it’s irritating.

Dee96 · 15/11/2020 10:44

@kkr168 I'd love some sleep but between the constant monitoring and my show and mucus plug coming away I've started having intense pain now so I dont see sleep on the horizon unless I get an epidural. Everything is moving along so quick

Babyhope98 · 15/11/2020 10:54

@Dee96 Good luck!! Hopefully it’ll be a quick birth and you won’t have pain for too long x

I am envious can’t wait for my baby to arrive now I am getting really impatient and moody 😂

kkr168 · 15/11/2020 10:55

@Dee96 Sounds like things are progressing fast for you, hopefully you'll have your baby in your arms soon xx

cherryappl · 15/11/2020 11:32

For everyone who's had a c section can you please help me I need to shave down there but know your not supposed to would it be okay for me to use some hair removal cream specifically for down there? I want all the hair gone but I know you can't shave as it can increase risk of infection my section isn't for another 10 days

Pinktruffle · 15/11/2020 11:46

The advice from the hospitals is that they don't want you to do anything to the hair @cherryappl. They will remove what they need to remove themselves. Hair removing creams have a risk of chemical burn which in turn can lead to a high risk of infection, more so than shaving.

cherryappl · 15/11/2020 11:48

@Pinktruffle thank you a girl told me to do this yesterday everyone says different things so confusing can I trim it or shall I just completely leave it

Pinktruffle · 15/11/2020 11:57

I've trimmed but not worried too much about it, partly because I can't actually see down there over my belly haha.
What I shared is the guidance I've seen online plus what my hospital have told me though I know things do vary between hospitals. Maybe call and ask them?

Dee96 · 15/11/2020 12:04

@kkr168 I hope so the pains are getting worse just sitting in a bath I'm trying to hold out until I'm 4cm to take anything

Pinktruffle · 15/11/2020 12:05

@Dee96 Good news that everything has got moving though. I'm hoping this is a quick process for you, all the best x

LRHRN · 15/11/2020 13:16

Just an update, I'm glad I came in to be checked for reduced movements.
Baby has gone absolutely wild with a very high heart rate so something is distressing her.
I'm hooked up now being monitored to try and get her to a steady level then I'm having a stretch and sweep. An induction is booked for the 21st if she doesn't come before then but obviously all depends on what happens with her heart rate.
If anyone is ever concerned about a change in movements reduced or increased always get checked x

Babyhope98 · 15/11/2020 13:22

So glad you’ve gone into get checked over @LRHRN not long until you meet your little one then!! Hope all goes well 💕 I had increased movements this morning but she’s settled down I think maybe she’s just not very comfy with the lack of space but I’ll keep an eye on her now that you’ve said x

Snowwhite2020 · 15/11/2020 13:58

@Dee96 glad things are moving so quickly for you! Hope your beautiful baby is with you soon! Xx

Kj1010 · 15/11/2020 15:52

Gl ladies

jalu47 · 15/11/2020 16:08

I'm just finishing off the packing of my bag and the only thing I'm lacking is underwear - has anyone found any good options? Not sure if I'm having a c section yet so want to find the biggest, comfiest ones but really struggling!

peachypetite · 15/11/2020 16:12

@jalu47 I’ve got big high waisted from tesco.

Pinktruffle · 15/11/2020 16:31

I got high waisted ones from Asda. I think I may have bought too small, I only went up one size. I have Tena lady pants for in the hospital though.

cherryappl · 15/11/2020 17:36

I heard that the best underwear for after a c section is from m&s people said the ones that go right up to your shoulders but I can't find them anywhere on the website! I even went in store 😫

Amyyy1 · 15/11/2020 17:52

I think you guys might be right about baby being engaged which is where the pain came from last night, I've had awful crampy achiness really low down all day and it feels so heavy!! I'm just having a relaxing bubble bath now to try and ease it off a bit. I've got my 38 week appointment this Wednesday so hopefully the midwife will be able to tell me good news that it won't be much longer before baby's here!!

NaomiB79 · 15/11/2020 17:56

@jalu47 I used the big high waisted ones from Tesco they were great after my section

Snowwhite2020 · 15/11/2020 18:13

Thinking of you @Dee96 hope all going well xx

peachypetite · 15/11/2020 18:17

@Amyyy1 mine is Tuesday and also hoping for similar. I’m so tired! I can’t believe how bad my under eye bags are already, god knows what it will be like when the baby is here. Just ordered a takeaway and looking forward to a bath later!

EithneBlue · 15/11/2020 18:42

@peachypetite - if I ever have another child I'm going to lie about my due date! I'm 39+1 and already getting texts too... like... wtf?!
