OK so the title isn't the best haha but didn't want to lose you all and the other thread is filling fast! Gonna flip between the two to tag everyone and make sure I get the usernames right.

@Wise0wl to be fair these programmes are so dramatised, it hurts obviously but they can't show the nice easy labours (my 2nd was amazing) as its not good tv. Although the c sections are still making me squirm, does having the epidural hurt if its planned?! I can imagine that halfway through labour you might not notice cause you're desperate to stop the contraction pain but if you're not in labour... anyone know?? I want to cry at the numbing injection from a dentist never mind the idea of a needle in my back 😅

Cian says hi.

Contractions came in, there was a few niggles with his baseline and what be was and wasn't responding too. Did 4 hours (I think) of hard labour and be crashed. Pretty much the same reason and outcome with DD. Emergency section.

Born at 3.09pm weighed in at 7lb 15oz xx
He's fine, I'm fine and that's all that matters.

STUNNING 😍 beauty little boy xxxx

Hatepickinganame · 13/11/2020 23:30

@DPSawMyUsername ah huge congratulations! He's an absolute stunner 😍 glad you're both OK!!

calimommy · 14/11/2020 01:59

@DPSawMyUsername you'd know he was sectioned because he's not all swollen and puffy from being squeezed out 😂👌 he looks fabulous. Well done you. I hope you are comfortable enough.

professorastrocat · 14/11/2020 04:21

Massive congratulations @DPSawMyUsername , what a gorgeous one!! ❤️❤️

Needallthesleep · 14/11/2020 04:28

Amazing work @DPSawMyUsername. He’s perfect. Hope you’re recovering well and feeling ok.

@Hatepickinganame the first time I had a spinal if didn’t hurt at all. The second time was a little painful, but I’d say only about a 3 out of 10 on the pain scale and I’m such a baby about pain! Both were ELCS so I’ve never experienced contractions to be able to find out which is more painful!

Lola871 · 14/11/2020 08:23

Congrats @DPSawMyUsername.

Sorry for the lack of update guys! Waters eventually broken at 1am Tuesday morning and generally started off progressing really nicely, didn't need any pain relief for 7 out of the 11.5 hours of labour. However it seems I have a drama queen on my hands as things kicked off a bit later on and we ended up having a rather quick emergency delivery (avoided a section but did 6cm to birth in 30 mins)! So I'm feeling a bit beaten up but have a gorgeous little boy to cuddle to make up for it and DH having to wait on me hand and foot.

Hope everyone is doing well whether still pregnant or now with a little one. It's still a bit of a surreal feeling that he's here and we actually have a baby!

Hatepickinganame · 14/11/2020 09:09

@Needallthesleep ah thanks for that. Honestly I'm in so much pain today with my SPD that they could put a hundred needles in my back and I'd be grateful if it meant the pain would stop. Literally sobbed my heart out an hour ago, can't walk without agony today!

@whatsthecraic91 how are you doing?

whatsthecraic91 · 16/11/2020 08:16

@Hatepickinganame hey! Thanks for asking 😊 I'm 33+2 and counting down to finishing work on 4th Dec - I can't wait!! By the end of the day I am just so sore & my ankles swell up 😭 other than that & pelvic pain & sore hips whilst in bed or sitting at my desk too long I'm ok!

Thankfully baby is head down at my scan last week so hoping he stays like that 🤞🏼 also weighing 4lb 12oz & for me that's 90th percentile so think he will be a wee chunk 😅x

Hatepickinganame · 16/11/2020 08:22

@whatsthecraic91 ah glad to hear all is going pretty well! I feel ya with the pelvic pain, honestly I've been sobbing with mine. My oh looks at me like I'm crazy cause I desperately want a natural birth and I'm struggling to handle the pelvic pain lol he doesn't really get how different it is! Midwife today, which should give me some indication of what to expect from consultant tomorrow.... everyone please cross everything that this baby is head down! X

whatsthecraic91 · 16/11/2020 08:27

@Hatepickinganame awk I'm sorry!! But I'm sure labour feels different to it (hopefully - I've no idea 😂) mine isn't that bad thankfully but I've been taking paracetamol nearly every day which I feel bad about 😐

Hope your app goes well today! Fingers crossed 🤞🏼 x

Hatepickinganame · 16/11/2020 14:47

So.not yet confirmed by scan, but midwife thinks baby is still breech. Find out for definite tomorrow but already trying to weigh up the risks of a breech vaginal delivery! Hope all these gorgeous babies are doing well 💜

Happy to report that my little monkey was head down today! Fluid levels are better. Her growth has gone nuts though so now I'm being tested for GD. Just one thing after another 😅😅😅

OP posts:
Wise0wl · 17/11/2020 21:34

Amazing news on being head down @Hatepickinganame! That is one piece of good news. Keep us posted on the GD, hopefully a false alarm?

Hatepickinganame · 17/11/2020 21:37

@wise0wl hopefully! Its only cause suddenly her growth is huge. But like I said to the Dr, my last baby was 10lb 6oz and I had polyhydramnios then, no GD at all. Just grow big babies I think 😅 how are you?

OP posts:
Wise0wl · 17/11/2020 22:00

10lb 6oz is a healthy weight! I feel like I’ve grown massively in the past few weeks, but I’ve not had any scans since 20 weeks so assume it’s fine? Am now 40 weeks but no sign of baby, not sleeping much and pretty bored in lockdown! But all in all not too bad! When will you get your GD results?

Needallthesleep · 18/11/2020 02:24

Oh such good news @Hatepickinganame.

Soon you’ll join the middle of the night feeding team. So far it’s been 10pm and 2am. Hoping she goes through until at least 6am after this!
