Hi everyone!

There doesn’t seem to be a thread yet for July 2021, probably because most of you haven’t got your BFP yet! I got mine yesterday at 9DPO which was super early but had a pretty clear line on a FRER with afternoon urine, so confirmed with a digital. My due date is 4th July 2021 and I can’t wait for more of you to join me!! Feeling excited but a bit overwhelmed / not everything has sunk in yet. Also it’s still super early so I’m crossing my fingers (and legs!) that this little one sticks. It’s my first baby so I have no experience of any of this!

Hopefully see more of you in the next few days!!

Xx

@stellarfox it's a hard one. In some ways I think it would be good to stop so there isn't an association with the new baby if we do end up stopping after they're born. I don't want there to be resentment and a kind of 'well you arrived and then I wasn't allowed milk any more'. But at the same time we still feed probably 8 times in 24 hours and it seems like a huge adjustment to make. I think I'll carry on for now and see where we end up. I might also speak to my midwife at my booking appointment about it.

I'm waiting for it to get painful or my supply to dry up as a result of the hormones though so that may make the decision for me. Have you had any pain yet?

Penelope12xx · 28/10/2020 14:13

Hi everyone! congratulations to you all! 💘 can I join please?
I’ve just got a positive test today (sorry I don’t know the lingo on here👀) from my last period I would be due 1st July! (First month TTC) I will go and get digital test for the morn. This is my first pregnancy so a lot to learn hoping to get some reassurance from you xx

hippohippohippo · 28/10/2020 14:31

Hi everyone - got a 1-2 weeks pregnant on a digital test today. Came off the POP 4 weeks ago, didn't at all expect this to happen so soon, and unfortunately this means I don't have a "last period" to refer to as I haven't had one for a couple of years now! Not sure how much of a problem that's going to be in terms of dating - so July is my best guess right now! Anyone else in this situation?

Had an inkling because my boobs were very sore but still so shocked and distracted today! Will probably wait a week and do a couple of more tests before getting in touch with my doctors... and already finding myself hoping we aren't allowed to meet with others over the christmas period to help me keep it a secret until super anxious me is ready to share!

Lollipop87 · 28/10/2020 14:49

Congrats to the new ladies!! This is my first pregnancy, I’ve already had a call from the midwife and got my booking in appointment on 25th Nov. Can’t decide whether to book a private scan or not, think I’ll wait and see what date they give me for my NHS scan and if it’s later on in the 12-14 week window then I might book one for 9-10 weeks. Don’t think it’ll seem real until then! Wishing you all happy and healthy pregnancies 💞

@hippohippohippo did you have a bleed when you came off the pill? I suspect they'll treat that as a period as you were taking contraceptives before so it's unlikely you're any more than 4 weeks pregnant. Similar boat for me though as I've not had a period since the start of 2019, before I fell pregnant with DC1.

@Lollipop87 I booked a private scan last time around 8 weeks and saw a baby shaped blob and a heartbeat. Worth every penny. If I don't have an early scan this time on the NHS to confirm dates I'll pay for a private one x

Candyflosscrochet · 28/10/2020 17:24

Hi ladies. Congratulations to all and sending lots if sticky positve vibes to you!
It's lovely to be able to join a pregnancy board again!! Got my bfp today at 12dpo so due 6th (ish) July.
I had a mmc at 8.5wks in June, then a chemical last month. This will be my 4th baby if all goes well!!
Feeling pretty positive atm....long may that continue, although I'm sure DH and I will have our wobbles!!
Looking forward to sharing the journey with you all xxc

hollieemmerxo · 28/10/2020 17:31

Hoping I can join here with you wonderful ladies, POSSIBLE TRIGGER WARNING I got my BFP on Sunday after AF was 3 days late. This will be my 3rd pregnancy and 3rd baby. DS1 and DS2 were planned and completely expected.. we had planned to have a child later in life so although unexpected it’s not unwanted.. just been through a whirlwind of emotions. I’ve read a few have suffered MC and have been TTC for a while so I’m sorry if this seems like I’m ungrateful.. I’m really not! Just was so unsure if I was ready for another right now with my two DS at the age they are (4.5 and nearly 2) I am beginning to be excited after spending the first 2 days crying (not sure if triggered by hormones also) but I am feeling a lot more positive today! And cannot wait to see my little bean at the 12 wk scan.. EDD 2nd July.. hoping you are all keeping well!x

hollieemmerxo · 28/10/2020 17:33

And CONGRATULATIONS to all xx

hippohippohippo · 28/10/2020 17:38

@strawberrycherryblossom
No withdrawal bleed, nope, and this would be my first pregnancy - last time I came off the pill for a few months it took a few months for any kind of bleed to happen. But yep as you say, given I came off the pill 4 weeks ago I'm inclined to trust the digital test saying 1-2 weeks (i.e. 3-4 weeks pregnant). Exciting times!

stellarfox · 28/10/2020 17:51

@strawberrycherryblossom No I didn’t know pain was a thing! Yeah it would be a lot going from 8 to none but you could gradually drop them if you wanted to. Some people tandem feed so it must be possible!

Pricemillie · 28/10/2020 19:52

Hello everyone! I would love to tag along here. I got my BFP 2 days ago. I am 4+6 today! Congratulations everyone xx

JulyPumpkin · 28/10/2020 20:05

Hello everyone! Glad to find so many July 2021’s. I thought I was far too early!
First time TTC can’t believe it. 13dpo and 4+1 today! Not sure when period is due as I only came off the pill last month.
Trying to be cautiously excited but it’s hard! Tempted by an early scan...
Congrats everyone! Xx

meganm94 · 28/10/2020 20:11

Congrats ladies! Just got my BFP at 11 DPO. Going by my last period my due date will be 11th July 2021. Had an early MC/CP last month so keeping everything crossed this is a sticky one 🤞 x

Lollipop87 · 28/10/2020 21:01

Welcome and congrats to you all! I’m 4+2, due 4th July 😊 So sorry to those who’ve had MC / CPs, praying for sticky beans for you all 💞

Hello everyone, congratulations to you all!

I'm currently pregnant with my second, but have no idea when I'm due as I've not had a period since giving birth last year. But I reckon it's July😄

Pricemillie · 29/10/2020 06:56

With my previous pregnancy I am part of a Facebook group with all women due the same month or around about..
I'd love to create a group for all of us women to discuss and share everything on.
Who'd be interested if I created one?

Penelope12xx · 29/10/2020 06:56

Me again! Just done a digital weekly test which says I’m 2-3 weeks, I think it’s more borderline 3+ with my dates. Looking at an early reassurance scan, which week would you all say is best to book for? Thanks girls x

strawberrycherryblossom · 29/10/2020 07:03

@Pricemillie I think @Lollipop87 has made one. If you message her she can add you to it.

@Penelope12xx I had a private early scan at 7+5 with my son and saw a baby shaped blob with a heartbeat. I'd go for a similar stage next time, possibly slightly later.

@hippohippohippo I'm booking in with the midwives today so I'll see what they say about dating for me.

@sbhydrogen snap! How old is your little one?

stellarfox · 29/10/2020 07:04

@Pricemillie We’ve got a Facebook group already so anyone interested please come join! You have to message @Lollipop87 with your email

Congratulations everyone getting their bfps!

Might sound silly but how do I message her! I'm new to Mumsnet 🤭

stellarfox · 29/10/2020 07:09

@Penelope12xx I’m waiting for at least 8 weeks for my early scan so you can see something, unless the 12 week one is before Christmas then I might hold off. I don’t know at what point they do the scan externally as early on they use an internal scanner! I’d quite like to wait so it’s late enough for the external one if possible!

stellarfox · 29/10/2020 07:10

@Pricemillie Find one of her messages and click the 3 dots on the bottom right hand corner and there should be an option for a personal message 😊

Lollipop87 · 29/10/2020 07:25

@Penelope12xx I found this the other day (see image) when I was wondering the same thing, so might be best to wait until 8-9 weeks so you can make out the baby’s shape more 😊 I’m the same as @stellarfox, waiting to find out if my NHS scan is before Christmas and if it is then I might not bother with a private scan.

@Pricemillie I’ve got your message so I’ll add you to the group when I’m at my laptop in about half an hour (can only add using email addresses on the desktop version of Facebook for some reason!) Will be lovely to have you 😊

Congrats everyone on your BFPs!! 💞

I'd go 8-9 weeks. I've had them previously at 6.5 and at best you'll see a tiny dot with a flashing light (heart beat)

At 8-9 weeks they look like little gummy bears.

I've had early scans through NHS (bleeding) and private for reassurance and anything from 8 weeks was great.

Trigger warning - I will add that in my second preg I went at 8 weeks and was confronted with a dot with a slow heartbeat that I went on to miscarriage. That was private and a weird atmosphere as everyone is so excited there. They can't do a lot in those circumstances other than telling you to speak to your GP

MoscowMuse · 29/10/2020 08:37

Hi all! Got my bfp at the weekend but still feels too good to be true so have been holding off joining this board. NHS would put due date around 6th July. We've been TTC for 12 months - i have PCOS and we got our bfp on our second round of letrozole. It's been a difficult couple of weeks - 3 of my close friends announced their pregnancies and our neighbour brought home twins a few weeks ago. So a whirlwind of emotions to say the least. Weirdly i have absolutely no symptoms whatsoever and was sure i was out this month. Apparently it can be common for sufferers of PCOS to have fewer or less severe symptoms? But holding my breath until my early scan on 12th Nov to make sure all is ok as PCOS is linked to higher risk of lots of complications. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Congratulations to everyone! 😊
