Hi everyone!

There doesn’t seem to be a thread yet for July 2021, probably because most of you haven’t got your BFP yet! I got mine yesterday at 9DPO which was super early but had a pretty clear line on a FRER with afternoon urine, so confirmed with a digital. My due date is 4th July 2021 and I can’t wait for more of you to join me!! Feeling excited but a bit overwhelmed / not everything has sunk in yet. Also it’s still super early so I’m crossing my fingers (and legs!) that this little one sticks. It’s my first baby so I have no experience of any of this!

Hopefully see more of you in the next few days!!

Xx

@Blughbablugh my LG turns 4 next month and I think we'll perhaps tell them (2yr old sis) Christmas Eve all being well 💜💙 I don't want to take their focus on Christmas Day from the excitement of what it is, so thought the day before might be nice! She'll be beyond excited she's been asking for a baby for a long while! Xx

Boymama89 · 15/11/2020 20:41

Hi everyone , hope you're all well.
Earlier on today my 5 year old charged at me and gave me a good whack in the stomach. Under the bellybutton , but it's feeling bruised now so kinda getting a bit of worried. I'm sure baby is okay please god. I'm 6 weeks or so I think. So baby should still be protected by the pelvis. Should I ring the hospital tomorrow to have a chat with a midwife or would they laugh me off the phone?

NamechangeTTC · 15/11/2020 20:45

@Boymama89 no issue phoning if you feel concerned. Baby is very protected but best to check.

3rdtimelucky2019 · 15/11/2020 20:49

They'll probably be kind to you on the phone but it is absolutely fine. The baby is tiny and very very well cushioned in there.

4Minions2CallMyOwn · 15/11/2020 20:51

@Blughbablugh

For those with kids already, when are you planning on telling them? My dd is only 3, almost 4 but is baby obsessed at the moment. She's asked for a (real) baby for Christmas! Grin we of course have got her a baby annabel but really not sure whether to tell her or not at Christmas. She's only 3 and won't get the concept of waiting and that the baby won't arrive then and there and of course is it too early to tell her? Ill be 12 weeks by then.
We have 4 older children and never tell before 12 weeks. This was always a worst case scenario thing seeing as I’d never had a Miscarriage, but I had a MMC (missed miscarriage) in August and I can’t tell you the relief that we’d only told 1 friend each and not the children. Having to explain the loss while I was dealing with that and also having an ERPC (procedure to remove) would have been so difficult for us both and even more stressful.

That said like you say young children don’t understand the concept of time and find it so so difficult to wait. Even when we used to tell them at 12 weeks they had no concept of 6 more months, so we say after your birthday etc. Makes it easier for them to know that it’ll be after they’ve had their birthday (which they countdown)!

But everyone does things differently and I’m sure whatever you decide will be best for your DD. Congratulations on your pregnancy! Smile

The baby will be super protected at this point as so so tiny! But if you’re worried a midwife will reassure you and definitely not laugh- they’re used to questions like this and understand mummy’s have worries to reassure Flowers

@blughbablugh I told my DS this morning when I got the BFP but he's 11 so it was all a bit gross to him 🤭

Scottishskifun · 15/11/2020 22:31

I don't think we will tell our son til past 20 weeks stage he's not yet 2 so wouldn't understand it anyway.
We currently keep having to say to him that I'm not well as I have struggled horrifically this weekend with nausea/vomiting and 2 fainting episodes so spent a large majority in bed with 30 minutes trying to find enough energy to read stories and play.

My husband is very good though and has always taken 50/50 or more with our son so he loves playing with him.

Bubbles16395 · 15/11/2020 22:37

Can I join?
I got my BFP on Thursday, but very faint, but got 1-2 weeks on Christmas yesterday! Smile I’m due 28/7 I think!

rusticpink · 16/11/2020 02:49

Hey
Congrats to everyone! Found out I was pregnant 4 days ago I'm due 16/07/21 going off my LMP, so excited this is baby no 3! Wishing everyone healthy happy pregnancy's xx

Boymama89 · 16/11/2020 03:09

@NamechangeTTC @4Minions2CallMyOwn thank you both for the replies. I think I just got a pang of worry earlier , but feeling okay now. I think I'm just a bit more anxious this time round after my mmc in September . But as you both said baby is well protected in there at the moment. 💕

Pepper0610 · 16/11/2020 08:41

@NamechangeTTC that looks super positive to me I don’t think it matters how light/dark positive is a positive. Mine are still not as dark as when I tested with my 2nd baby. I keep reading about early positives and twins keeps popping up!

I wonder who/if any of us on here will have twins!

Pepper0610 · 16/11/2020 08:42

Congratulations @Bubbles16395 @rusticpink

Lots of July babies on the way!

Hopingfor3 · 16/11/2020 09:06

Welcome everyone xxxx

NamechangeTTC · 16/11/2020 09:10

Thanks @Pepper0610 I always said I wanted twins but after ttc journey I will be happy with whatever we get!

I see blazing positives and dye stealers on some posts and then panic.

Reassuring myself with lots of opk at work since I have 100+ of them.

luxxlisbon · 16/11/2020 09:22

This morning I feel like this is dragging! When I found out I was just over 8 weeks from LMP but it turns out I ovulated really late, which is normal for me, but now I feel like I've gone back a load of weeks!

I found out exactly two weeks ago today but I only hit 5 weeks on Friday.

Anyone else just want to skip a few weeks ahead until it feels more real?

Kg87 · 16/11/2020 09:26

@luxxlisbon I’m the same! I ovulated around CD22/23 so although based on my LMP I should be 7 weeks I think I’m actually 6 weeks, I’ve got my early scan this Friday so hoping she can confirm, just wish the time would pass a bit quicker, I feel like I’ve been stuck at 6 weeks forever!

EatPrayYoga · 16/11/2020 09:37

I have been feeling a fluttery feeling on my left side today. I'm sure it's too early for movement but I googled and it looks like other women have felt this at 6-7 weeks. It doesn't feel like wind but it could be wind!

I don't know whether it's because I'm tired or distracted or both but I have little motivation to work today.

4Minions2CallMyOwn · 16/11/2020 10:08

@Boymama89 I know what you mean, I’m the same as had a MMC in August so am worrying non stop this pregnancy Confused

@luxxlisbon Oh gosh that sucks! I found out at 3 weeks also and am only 4+3 weeks now. Time is certainly dragging! How frustrating that you thought you were further along than you actually are!

Hopingfor3 · 16/11/2020 10:31

Yep I understand the time dragging thing, but also going fast I can't make it out haha!!

I have my scan tomorrow and I will feel so much better if that's is all OK xx

NamechangeTTC · 16/11/2020 10:45

I think I'm similar @luxxlisbon, although earlier along.

I'm 4+3 from lmp but using ovulation date I'm 3+5 as I ovulated cd 21

Boc86 · 16/11/2020 11:29

Hello can I join?
4 weeks today, here’s yesterday’s 13dpo tests
Started getting faint positives from the evening of 8dpo
Feeling nauseous today but eating helps.
I have a permanent headache from the progesterone I have to take and also on blood thinners for the entire pregnancy.
Anything for a baby though

MrsG2907 · 16/11/2020 11:55

Hi everyone,
Hope its okay for me to join ?
I got my BFP on Friday at 9 DPO ( totally unexpected been trying for 7 months and hadn’t been testing early but something felt different this month)
It was so faint so I haven’t told my husband. I will be 4 weeks on Wednesday which is when my missed period would be. The lines have been getting progressively darker and ive had cramping in abdomen and back but I am worried so say anything yet.
When did you tell your OHs ?
Congrats to all the positives :) x
Thanks
