Hi everyone!

There doesn’t seem to be a thread yet for July 2021, probably because most of you haven’t got your BFP yet! I got mine yesterday at 9DPO which was super early but had a pretty clear line on a FRER with afternoon urine, so confirmed with a digital. My due date is 4th July 2021 and I can’t wait for more of you to join me!! Feeling excited but a bit overwhelmed / not everything has sunk in yet. Also it’s still super early so I’m crossing my fingers (and legs!) that this little one sticks. It’s my first baby so I have no experience of any of this!

Hopefully see more of you in the next few days!!

Xx

@LillH you haven't put a dampener on anything!
Pregnancy is a roller-coaster some people love it others not so much. I love my son but my god I hate being pregnant and so far this pregnancy isn't going any better with sickness and dizziness so bad I'm spending hours a day in bed.

The point of these forums and groups is to provide support and the nature of support is good times and tough times 😊

There are definitely no rules with when to tell people it used to be 12 weeks because of the fact that a Dr wouldn't even recognise a pregnancy before this even as recent as 30 years ago due to miscarriage levels and its kind of stuck. Always do what is best for you!

LillH · 14/11/2020 12:02

@Scottishskifun Thank you for lovely words. I’m sorry to hear you’ve been suffering from sickness and dizziness. I wish I could offer words of advice back to you. I just hope the nausea doesn’t become too bad. Take it as easy as you can 😊.

I have a feeling I’m not going to love it (but that’s my classic negative thinking talking) who knows, I could feel completely differently when early pregnancy hormones subside and I feel less shocked and have hopefully come round to the idea of it all a bit more!

I’m only around 18 dpo but definitely feel like I’m having symptoms, including nausea, heightened sense of smell, tiredness, irritability, tender breasts. All I feel like doing is curling up on the sofa with a blanket today.

This is the first time I’ve ever posted on a MN post so a little daunting for me and I don’t fully understand the etiquette of it all yet but I do see some very supportive ladies on this post (including yourself) so I’m sure sharing the good and the bad can be very beneficial 😊.

Yes I thought 12 weeks was the norm. I will wait that long (provided it sticks) for most people but not for very close family.

Mumoft22m · 14/11/2020 13:32

5+1 today woke up feeling like absolute death. No energy banging headache , been sick and feel very Sick.😩 had hg with my last to I’m hoping against all hope I don’t have it again. Trying to Have a lay down but with a 5 and nearly 4 year old it’s not happening.

Jilly1988 · 14/11/2020 14:43

@Luckyelephant1 I am the exact same with you. I am 5+5 so just a few days behind you. I have nothing apart from a few cramps but not as many the past couple of days. Apart from that I have nothing no sickness, no sore boobs, good appetite.

MrsH2019 · 14/11/2020 14:47

Hi all,
@Lille4 I’m so sorry to hear you are experiencing heavy bleeding. Big hugs to you.

Congratulations to all of the BFPs. I’m almost 6 weeks and still not many symptoms just sore boobs. If anyone wants to join the Facebook group (it’s private) drop me a message. There are about 50 members now. I know a few people are waiting to join till after 12 weeks which is fine. Xx

Peonyandpuppy · 14/11/2020 14:59

@levera

Hi all. This is my first post as I've literally just joined. Please someone take me under their wing!!

I took a test Thursday and it was positive. I am 34. Never had a baby before (though I did have an unwanted ectopic pregnancy 6 years ago).

Can anyone bring me up to speed? What do all the abbreviations mean? Why are you all doing multiple tests?

I took a photo of my test but it won't allow me to post as I am so new. Should I be doing more tests?

Last period 6th October so I am GUESSING I am 4-5 weeks.

Exactly the same dates as me - last period 6th Oct and BFP Thursday. But it said 1 - 2 weeks... so that’s throwing me off slightly having read through the thread: I’ve got no symptoms really, weeing more often maybe!
EmilyB28 · 14/11/2020 17:03

@MrsH2019 would you be able to add me please 😊 x

Hopingfor3 · 14/11/2020 17:37

@levera I just want to look after you bless your cottons ❤️ I started on citalopram in March and came off it very quickly when I got my BFP, but I was only on 10mg so not a massive drop but still think it's contributed to how crap I feel. There really isn't ever a perfect time to fall preg, you sometimes just have to wing it and hope for the best!!

@LillH you don't have to feel anything or be anything other than true to yourself ❤️ Everyone's here to support each other xx

DP2019 · 14/11/2020 22:43

Hiiiii,
Please can I join. I have just found out this weekend. This will be my 2nd child and 4th pregnancy. 1 chemical and 1 miscarriage, had my daughter in between.
I will be 4 ish weeks and due around 20th July.
My test lines are still quite faint but I have taken cheap Poundland tests two days in a row and the line seems to be getting darker. I am hoping it's a sticky egg!!
I would love to chat to others due around the same time (fingers crossed all is well with this pregnancy) :)

FlowerPot00 · 14/11/2020 23:45

Can someone tell me what The darker line means? If it's faint compared to if it's dark? What's the difference? Is it your levels are stronger?

4Minions2CallMyOwn · 15/11/2020 00:15

@FlowerPot00 Yes it’s your hcg levels increasing- it’s a pregnancy hormone. So the darker the line is the more pregnancy hormone is in your system. It’s a good thing Smile

4Minions2CallMyOwn · 15/11/2020 00:16

@DP2019 Congratulations! I’m due 23rd July and am 4+1 today. So exciting, hope it all goes well for you Xx

Blossom428 · 15/11/2020 06:07

@DP2019 congratulations 😊
I'm 4 weeks today(still crazy saying it's) although I know still very early days.

I'll be due around 25th July so we aren't far off each other

Sippinongingernjuice · 15/11/2020 06:18

Morning everyone!

Been lurking on here for a couple of weeks and found your posts so helpful and reassuring. I’m 6+4 today and really struggling with nausea. Yesterday I could hardly move without retching. I feel like I’ve tried everything - someone tell me it gets easier!

It started to make me feel a bit down in the dumps yesterday and then I felt guilty for feeling down as I am super excited to be pregs but have felt so, so sick for over a week now.

TTCbabyBrown · 15/11/2020 06:36

Morning ladies. After 2 previous miscarriages I am tearing my hair out. My lines are slowly getting darker but still quite faint. I'll see if I can upload today's picture and see what you think.
Qu - I have been taking conceive plus (fertility support and ovulation support). My gynea knows about these. Do I keep taking them even with bfp?
Also docs said to take 150mg of asprin daily - anyone else on this? Does it matter the time of day you take them?
I have aged my doc but not got a reply 😕 veeeeeery frustrating when I've not go past 6 weeks.
Thanks ladies and congratulations on your bfps

3rdtimelucky2019 · 15/11/2020 07:08

I take aspirin and never been given a specific time of day. I just take them when I take my other pregnancy related vitamins.

TTCbabyBrown · 15/11/2020 07:24

Thank you for your reply. Got everything crossed our bubbas stick this time !

Scottishskifun · 15/11/2020 07:37

@TTCbabyBrown keep up with the baby aspirin if your Dr has told you to take it. For some women with repeat miscarriages it can help prevent it due to blood thining nature so stops clots. Should only be taken if told by a Dr though. I have a few friends who took it throughout pregnancy.

TTCbabyBrown · 15/11/2020 07:49

Good advice. I will continue to take them in the hope that it helps. Something has to work at some point, right?! I'm wondering if I should do the full 150mg in the evening/morning or split it and do 75mg as I wake up and then when I go to bed. Probably doesn't make a huge difference - probably just overthinking it. I've been up alllll night and barely slept a wink, hoping it's a sign of early pregnancy and not just me overthinking everything haha. Anybody else struggling to sleep at the moment? With my last two pregnancies I was so exhausted and slept all the time so strange that it's so different this time.

levera · 15/11/2020 08:09

@Hopingfor3 what’s a BFP?
I’m on 20mg. I’ve not been taking it consistently these last few days as I am worried. Hopefully the doc calls tomorrow and can help me.

levera · 15/11/2020 08:15

@Peonyandpuppy 6th Oct as the start of the last period not end, yeah?

Wow 1-2 weeks is very early!! I was 4weeks when I found out about the last one and they were shocked I’d found out so early, but this one feels further along than that somehow...I guess because the line was darker and I feel so nauseous with sore boobs. But I guess every time is different as last time I had itchy boobs.

Put it this way - if the timings of taking it made any difference to how it worked, you'd be given instructions of how and when.
TTCbabyBrown · 15/11/2020 08:29

Good point! I'll try and stop stressing haha.

Inthesky42 · 15/11/2020 09:06

Hey can I join? I got my BFP yesterday, due date 21st July!

This is my 2nd, and was a huge surprise as I'm still breastfeeding my 10.5 month old! Anyone else still breastfeeding whilst pregnant? It's not comfortable!

Hopingfor3 · 15/11/2020 09:46

@Inthesky42 I was pregnant and BF but my milk completely dried up at 3 months! I was so ready to stop though and my daughter immediately slept through once I stopped. It was incredible haha xx
