Hi everyone!

There doesn’t seem to be a thread yet for July 2021, probably because most of you haven’t got your BFP yet! I got mine yesterday at 9DPO which was super early but had a pretty clear line on a FRER with afternoon urine, so confirmed with a digital. My due date is 4th July 2021 and I can’t wait for more of you to join me!! Feeling excited but a bit overwhelmed / not everything has sunk in yet. Also it’s still super early so I’m crossing my fingers (and legs!) that this little one sticks. It’s my first baby so I have no experience of any of this!

Hopefully see more of you in the next few days!!

Xx

@Luckylola12 heyy! I have 35 day cycles and I’m still trying to get my head around dating, my app thinks I’m 6+4 due to my LMP but we only conceived 2.5 weeks ago so it’s all very baffling!

@EatPrayYoga I’ve got no sickness at all, my appetite has actually decreased, I’m finding myself wanting to feel sick so I know I’m really pregnant 😂 the only symptom I have is achey boobs and very minor heatburn when I burp lol I don’t want to allow myself to get excited as I feel like it’s too early!

Luckylola12 · 12/11/2020 09:25

@kg87 is so confusing isnt it! I really dont know what to go by! Im going for the fewer weeks just so if im wrong then it will be a nice surprise that im further along then i thought!

Kg87 · 12/11/2020 09:31

@Luckylola12 yeah!! I think because I ovulated a week later than the average person I might take a week off what my app thinks so I should be around 5+4, I have an early scan on Friday next week so I’m hoping the doctor can shed some light!

@Blughbablugh I feel like I have this too, I don’t really feel hungry or desire food but when I do eat I don’t feel full up or content 🙈🙄

luxxlisbon · 12/11/2020 09:46

How is everyone feeling this morning?
I'm officially 5 weeks today and I feel like this is dragging! I suppose baby has already gone from a poppy seed to an apple seed in only a week which is crazy but does anyone else feel like this is the worst bit?
My husband and I already feel like our lives have turned upside down but at the same time everything is "normal", no one really knows and I don't feel pregnant so it doesn't feel real.

So far I feel fine, not sick and not tired but consistent cramping since the day I thought I was pregnant so over 3 weeks now. Everything I have googled says this is normal but it does make me nervous as it isn't a symptom I imagined.

Jilly1988 · 12/11/2020 10:06

@luxxlisbon I am the exact same. I am 5+3 and do not feel pregnant in the slightest. Don't have sore boobs, don't feel sick, not peeing more than often etc. But I have had mild cramps and they freak me out. Especially as I seem to get mine to one side but like you I've read that it seems normal so I'm just going with that.

Luckyelephant1 · 12/11/2020 10:07

Hi @luxxlisbon I feel exactly the same as you. I'm 5+5 today and no symptoms, even the very mild cramping I had a couple of weeks ago seems to have stopped. Basically the only thing telling me I'm pregnant is a daily cheapo test! I'm obviously not wishing for nausea and sickness but right now I almost feel like I've made up this pregnancy!

I've never experienced time dragging so much, I did have a little meltdown yesterday as my husband is so excited (and I obviously am too) but equally I don't want to get carried away and jinx anything as its still so early days. I guess I'm just trying to keep busy and take each day as it comes really.

Hopefulmummie · 12/11/2020 10:09

@luxxlisbon @jilly1988

I am the exact same. 5+1 and do not feel pregnant at all. I've had cramps on and off from last week.
This morning I woke up with a bad feeling that something will go wrong and can't shake it.
I'm still tracking bbt and there was a slight drop this Morning so probably causing my anxiety.
I have scan with epu next Friday

Kg87 · 12/11/2020 10:13

@luxxlisbon @Luckyelephant1 @Jilly1988 @Hopefulmummie

I’m the same! Not tired, not feeling sick, don’t need to pee often!

Jilly1988 · 12/11/2020 10:15

@Hopefulmummie I was like that yesterday. I felt so anxious and that something was going to happen. It is so difficult. I find myself just up and down some days positive and others panicking

luxxlisbon · 12/11/2020 10:16

@Jilly1988 @Luckyelephant1@Hopefulmummie
I actually feel better that all of you have some form of cramping! I trying to be positive but it is so hard to not feel like something is going to go wrong at this stage. The cramping makes it worse because it just feels like the day before my period so every time I pee I check for blood. I'm trying to push that out of my head as much as possible because I don't want to be negative but I also don't want to be let myself be excited. Feels like limbo!

I've my next early scan in 2 weeks tomorrow and I can't wait to just get it over with! I think I will feel so much more at ease after that.

strawberrycherryblossom · 12/11/2020 11:22

I also don't 'feel pregnant' if it helps. I felt the same last time round though and had a very successful pregnancy.

The only symptom I have is that I've gone off food. I have moments of very mild nausea but nothing really. I just don't fancy anything. Which isn't good as I'm still bf too! I also can't stand chocolate. The heartbreak Sad

EatPrayYoga · 12/11/2020 11:36

Thanks @robodo @Hopingfor3 @Blughbablugh

@Kg87 Yes it is strange how they date as as you're not technically pregnant in the first couple of weeks as in a regular cycle you ovulate around week 2. I am kind of wanting more symptoms for reassurance too. I have had symptoms but they come and go and the sickness / nausea is very mild, which I should probably take as a good thing! I've got achey boobs, constipation and wind plus I'm really tired but I'm often a bit tired Grin

@luxxlisbon I had regular cramping up to about 5 weeks ish too. I'm 6+1 now and not noticing the cramping so much but I do have sort of stretching sensations occasionally

Thanks @strawberrycherryblossom I'm a bit like that. The nausea is mild and occasional. I feel hungry but don't fancy anything. I'm not fancying sweet stuff so much so whereas Id usually have something sweet after dinner, I haven't bothered. I remember I went off hot chocolate in my first pregnancy. I seem to be going more for savoury foods.

mariebaby3 · 12/11/2020 11:44

Hi everyone Smile I've been lurking for a few days but have decided to take the plunge and join the conversation!

We've been trying for our third and tested +ve last friday at 3+3days so super early. I'd been waking up at night to pee and had sore boobs so took a test one morning and actually threw it in the bin as through my tired eyes I couldn't see anything. I fished it out later in the day (no idea why!) and saw a line, took another test just incase it was an evap and there it was again!

I'm now 4+2 and already feeling a bit nauseous, having really vivid dreams and just feel generally exhausted also really nervous as its such early days. Going to get my flu jab today and refer myself to the midwife! EDD is 20th July. Hope you're all doing well Flowers

Kg87 · 12/11/2020 12:06

@strawberrycherryblossom I’ve gone off chocolate too and that was my favourite after dinner treat! 💔

@EatPrayYoga yeah it’s very strange, I just want the scan to hurry up and then I can let myself relax and be more excited. I’m not sure if I’m having vivid dreams or if I’m just remembering them well because I’m not tired at all and feel like I’m getting plenty of sleep even though I wake up at 4am for some odd reason 🙄

Blughbablugh · 12/11/2020 12:10

I've gone off chocolate too. I'm normally an absolute chocoholic so very strange. In my first pregnancy i ate loads of chocolate which might explain why my dd now loves chocolate as well. It's all about the carbs at the moment if I can force myself to actually eat anything Sad I'm so thirsty as well and the tiredness is unreal!

Blughbablugh · 12/11/2020 12:12

I had the cramps in the first few weeks and am now 6+3 and they have eased off apart from the odd twinge and all the other symptoms like the nausea and tiredness only really hit a couple of days or so before I turned 6 weeks, so all those that haven't got it yet, you wait! Grin

Lostwordsblessing · 12/11/2020 12:18

@Luckylola12 @EatPrayYoga @EmilyB28 I’ve been pissing like a racehorse! Trapped wind for sure and feeling bloated. Was constipated for the first couple of weeks before I found out and was like, but I’m eating normally, whhhhhhy.

How does a tiny clump of cells make you constipated? I need science, please 😂

Lostwordsblessing · 12/11/2020 12:21

I had my first bout of feeling a bit queasy this morning at 5+5, I was looking at my granola and yogurt with banana and thinking, “this is very, very soft food.” 🤢 I got through it though! Hoping that’s as much as it gets. I don’t feel like I’m getting much deep sleep because my dreams are SO wild, and I’m so knackered in the morning. Generally though finding fresh air, my bike and some yoga really helpful!

EatPrayYoga · 12/11/2020 12:27

@Lostwordsblessing Grin I have been peeing more too actually. I didn't notice that first time around. I am having vivid dreams too and not sleeping well.

marsvar28 · 12/11/2020 12:33

Progesterone mainly!

Webbalina · 12/11/2020 13:22

@Lostwordsblessing sorry to hear you aren’t getting much sleep! Have you tried listening to meditation music, it’s very relaxing! Can I ask are you practicing yoga as you did before or have you adapted it now your pregnant? I really love yoga but not sure what I should or shouldn’t do in it. Confused

EatPrayYoga · 12/11/2020 13:41

I'm not doing yoga now either but I think twists are the main thing to avoid. Should be able to find info online.

Lostwordsblessing · 12/11/2020 15:04

@Webbalina @EatPrayYoga
I practise yoga daily (BA varying in length and target areas depending on how I’m feeling) anyway, so my GP said it was fine and I should continue until I’m a bit heavier where I’ll start doing antenatal specific flows/stay off my back.

My main thing is just taking it easy and slowly, which turns out to be good for my head too. What I’m reading is just to say not to overstretch or work too hard, my general rule of thumb is not to get too overheated or out of breath now I’m preggo. I’m hyper mobile but mainly for anxiety too, I can’t imagine not practising.

Lostwordsblessing · 12/11/2020 15:05

Also @Webbalina not so much at night, I’ve been trying to turn off my phone before I sleep just as a practise so I don’t use it first thing when I wake, which is annoying because I have that Headspace app and their sleep stuff is lush!
