Hi everyone!

There doesn’t seem to be a thread yet for July 2021, probably because most of you haven’t got your BFP yet! I got mine yesterday at 9DPO which was super early but had a pretty clear line on a FRER with afternoon urine, so confirmed with a digital. My due date is 4th July 2021 and I can’t wait for more of you to join me!! Feeling excited but a bit overwhelmed / not everything has sunk in yet. Also it’s still super early so I’m crossing my fingers (and legs!) that this little one sticks. It’s my first baby so I have no experience of any of this!

Hopefully see more of you in the next few days!!

Xx

@Lostwordsblessing ah thank you for letting me know! And @EatPrayYoga ! I love it too, I think I will continue to do it but take it slow and not get too hot.
The headspace app is amazing! They have a pregnancy section on meditation which is great too! I play the meditation music on our Google home in the bedroom and it turns off after 15 mins automatically, as I’m the same with my phone, I leave it in the living room overnight for the exact reason you said (can’t recommend enough to anyone else with a bit of anxiety!) strawberrycherryblossom · 12/11/2020 15:39

For anyone worried about exercise, obviously do what you're comfortable with but there's no reason you have to make any changes. They don't suggest you take on something new in pregnancy but if you're already doing it and your pregnancy is low risk, it's fine.

I did HIIT workouts through my last pregnancy and will do the same this time. I stopped doing too much on my back/no sit ups after the first trimester but didn't worry otherwise. I need it for my sanity!

PurBal · 12/11/2020 16:05

@marsvar28 really glad you've got your appointment. Obviously I know it's easier said than done but try not to worry! Thinking of you. I found the EPU really intense but everyone was really nice.

PurBal · 12/11/2020 16:06

@marsvar28 I was advised: no heavy lifting, sex, or vigorous exercise for at least 7 days if that helps?

Julybaby2021 · 12/11/2020 16:10

@PurBal thankyou for that. I'll stick to that too then. I was told on phone to just rest up. Im so scared of them saying theres nothing there🙈 how are you feeling? Have you had anymore spotting? Xx

EatPrayYoga · 12/11/2020 16:19

@Lostwordsblessing @strawberrycherryblossom @Webbalina They do say you should be able to carry on your usual practise. I haven't done it for a while anyway as I prefer a class to at home and the last time I practised at home (I think before I was pregnant) I felt really lightheaded and sick but it was the first time I'd done it in ages and I was doing sun salutations.

I am super anxious though because we lost DD1 so I'm just not doing anything but walking atm!

I couldn't do much last pregnancy a anyway as I had pelvic girldle pain and even walking was painful from early in the second trimester.

WinterNights99 · 12/11/2020 16:44

Joining!
I got my BFP last night. Clear blue week indicator said 3+
I'd say I'm only about 5 weeks if that!
Midwife appointment next week.
Can remember with my previous child do they do a scan before 12 weeks to get due dates and see how far along you are?

WinterNights99 · 12/11/2020 16:46

Also really paranoid it's going to go wrong. I've heard when you hear the heartbeat the chances of a miscarriage are as little as 4%. But I can't help but worry as I suffered a early loss before I had my daughter. Not sure if it's common to mc your second pregnancy after having a child.

WalkingMeAway · 12/11/2020 16:54

@WinterNights99 congrats. How old is your first?

They date from LMP then scan at around 12 weeks for screening and confirm due date

WinterNights99 · 12/11/2020 17:02

Thank you! @WalkingMeAway
She is 2 and a half nearly.
I remember I had a scan at 7 weeks and 5 days. Then another at 12, I just couldn't remember if it was routinely done or maybe as I had no idea when my last cycle was.

WalkingMeAway · 12/11/2020 17:14

@WinterNights99 I would say it’s because you were unsure of your cycle. It’s not normally routine to have a dating scan just to date, if that makes sense!

I have booked a private scan for 8 weeks for reassurance and to confirm my dates X

WinterNights99 · 12/11/2020 17:26

@WalkingMeAway

I thought so. I am unsure with this one too, but not as unsure as I was last time. I reckon it's about 5 weeks if that where as last time I had no idea. I may book a scan too for reassurance but in maybe two or three weeks. As I guess anything before won't really show much!xx

MrsH2019 · 12/11/2020 18:29

Hi all. congratulations to all of the BFPS. I’ve finally got my booking in appointment for next Friday. They are monitoring me every 3 days now as I have just tested positive for covid19.
A lot of us are on a private Facebook group if anyone who wants to join. Just drop me a PM and I’ll get you added. Xx

Tj130 · 12/11/2020 18:42

I just tested positive and I'm terrified. We were just skipping ovulation week each month and I must have counted wrongly.
Unfortunately it's come at a time when I've just started a new job and we have a mortgage we want to get in next month or so it could make things really difficult.

I'm terrified ill lose my job when I tell work, and or not get the mortgage.
I'm main earner at the moment, tho Oh is looking for a salaried job and is at a supermarket at the moment.
Does fear pass?

PurBal · 12/11/2020 18:43

@MrsH2019 I would be interested in joining but I want to be a little more certain that things are okay. Maybe after my second scan in 2 weeks.

MrsH2019 · 12/11/2020 18:55

@Tj130 hi what a massive surprise. My BFP was as well this child was not planned in anyway. I personally don’t think there is ever a right time to have a child, we some how just learn how to survive. Your work can’t sack you for falling pregnant. Also, don’t tell your mortgage company. Lots of my friends have done that, all they look is three months payslips and bank statements. Xx

Scottishskifun · 12/11/2020 19:17

My nausea has kicked in big style it's worse in the afternoons my husband bless him has been practically solo parenting most of this week come 3pm I'm useless and having to go for a lie due to nausea and dizziness.

I'm hoping it passes quicker than last time Sad

stickytoffeepud1991 · 12/11/2020 19:32

Eeek haven’t checked this thread in about a day and it’s on page 30 🤣
I’m 7+4 today and I feel the best I’ve felt in about 2 weeks, even managed a full home made pizza lol. Haven’t had to take any of my sickness tablets either.
Although I am. Having the most horrendous dreams!! Xx

strawberrycherryblossom · 12/11/2020 19:47

Welcome @Tj130. Sorry you're feeling worried. How long have you been in your job/is there a probation period? They can't legally dismiss you because you're pregnant. Keep in mind that you don't have to notify your employer until 25 weeks so you could possibly wait until the end of your probation period if you have one (though I was obviously pregnant by 25 weeks last time).

We also got a bigger mortgage while I was on maternity leave. Sometimes they ask for more information but as others have said you don't necessarily have to tell them you're pregnant and legally they can't ask. Just be careful as they will ask you if you know of any upcoming changes to your income and technically problems can arise if you say no when you are aware of changes, but it's unlikely it would ever cause an issue.

@MrsH2019 I will stay here for now but may move over once we're past 12 weeks and have shared the news publically. So I'll be sticking around here for a while to keep anyone company who doesn't want to join yet.

MrsH2019 · 12/11/2020 19:51

@strawberrycherryblossom that’s fine. I still pop on here daily to check in. How are you getting on? Xx

strawberrycherryblossom · 12/11/2020 20:20

@MrsH2019 I'm ok thanks. Not eating and drinking as much as I should which is leaving me tired and sometimes dizzy but I'm trying. It's not that I feel sick per se, I just find nothing appeals. I have my booking appointment next week and a private scan the week after so lots to look forward to. Hopefully my HcG blood test results will be back early next week too.

How are you?

Hi everyone - I got my BFP yesterday after six months TTC and reading every possible mumsnet thread, I read this one last night ant thought it was time to join. Congratulations everyone! From lmp I am 5+4 and just had a call from the midwife to book my first appt for 11th Dec. I have everything crossed and dreaming of telling our immediate family at Christmas.

luxxlisbon · 13/11/2020 09:43

@awed I had the same thing with my early scan. Going by LMP, which I knew wasn't accurate as I have PCOS, I was 8/9 weeks but at my early scan I was only measuring 4/5. My next one is on the 28th to track the progress and I feel like it is all I can think about!

Even in a normal cycle being 4 days off isn't that unusual as not everyone ovulates on day 14 which is what going by LMP assumes.
