Hi everyone!

There doesn’t seem to be a thread yet for July 2021, probably because most of you haven’t got your BFP yet! I got mine yesterday at 9DPO which was super early but had a pretty clear line on a FRER with afternoon urine, so confirmed with a digital. My due date is 4th July 2021 and I can’t wait for more of you to join me!! Feeling excited but a bit overwhelmed / not everything has sunk in yet. Also it’s still super early so I’m crossing my fingers (and legs!) that this little one sticks. It’s my first baby so I have no experience of any of this!

Hopefully see more of you in the next few days!!

Xx

@PurBal keeping fingers crossed for you 🤞

marsvar28 · 11/11/2020 16:27

@PurBal so you basically just have to wait now for 2 weeks for another scan🙈 thats going to be awful annoyingly long 😰 yes i phoned but can't get an appointment with doctor until tomorrow. This is my 1st pregnancy.. so duno what to expect. On one hand brown spotting can be normal yet for others it can be the start of losing it😰 so worrying xxx

katiemumma20 · 11/11/2020 17:16

Hello! Congratulations to all the July 2021 mummies. Is anyone able to add me to the Facebook group Smile? I’ve PMd the op but not been added yet xx

Forest27 · 11/11/2020 18:43

Hi everyone!

I hope you don't mind me joining! I've just got a positive at 8/9 DPO! I'm really nervous as I had a molar pregnancy this year (the most awful experience of my life) and I'm not due AF until next week. Fingers crossed it sticks!!!

Because of my history I'm going to need an early scan which won't be a for a few weeks yet! I'll relax once I know everything is fine!

Congratulations to everyone on your BFPs!!!

ChunkyButFunky87 · 11/11/2020 19:33

Is it normal to have booking in that late @marsvar28 in NI? I've got mine at 7+4, but usually only get 12 week scan by having that appointment first, will it delay your scan?

marsvar28 · 11/11/2020 19:41

@ChunkyButFunky87 i thought you got booked in around 7-8weeks and then 12week scan after but nope.. my letter came thru and said booking in app 29th dec. which ill be like 12+5 by that stage. I was considering ringing them to see if they can put me on a cancellation list or anything before then but not sure what to do now🤔 xx

inahaze · 11/11/2020 19:57

@marylola hey yeh im on 3 x 10mg B6 now, i feel it is helping BUT i still have to eat constantly to keep sickness at bay. i found the 10mg tablets on amazon, www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B002QWKMNA/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?psc=1&tag=mumsnetforu03-21&ie=UTF8

i think people with HG take a higher dose

Luckylola12 · 11/11/2020 19:59

Hello lovely ladies!!!
Congratulations to you all grin i had my positive pregnancy test after 2 years of trying!!!
Im happy, scared, nervous, excited...all the emotions!
Has anyone else had trapped wind? I keep getting it! Its my main symptom at the moment! I didnt even know it was one haha!
Also are you all going by you LMP for your dates? I have cycle lengths on average 33 days so not sure if i have to take that into account?

MrsH2019 · 11/11/2020 20:04

Hi @Forest27 congratulations on your BFP.

@Luckylola12 congratulations on your BFP. I have short cycles and I was told if you know when you ovulated then add two weeks on to that. A few of the pregnancy apps will calculate it either on LMP or conception date. Xx

EmilyB28 · 11/11/2020 20:11

My Edd is also 19th July 😁😁

ChunkyButFunky87 · 11/11/2020 20:19

I would @marsvar28 the 12 week scan has to be done by 14 weeks I think it is to do the Nuchal fold measurement. Unless NI has a quick turn around between booking in to scan. I'm due 9th July so was keen to get booking in sorted so that hopefully 12 week scan doesn't get put back to after Xmas (12 weeks falls Xmas day itself!)

Boymama89 · 11/11/2020 20:38

Hey everyone, hope you are all well. I ended up in the hospital today with pain. They gave me a scan and I'm measuring 5.5 weeks she could see yolk sac and the start of fetal pole. It was trans abdominal so measurements weren't great. I'm back in two weeks to see size of baby and she'll date the pregnancy from then. I've had no period since mmc in September. I'm feel calm about it all. But praying it all goes well . Early scans are stressful 🙈

marsvar28 · 11/11/2020 20:43

@ChunkyButFunky87 im 12 weeks exactly on xmas day. So i would have thought it would've been the week leading upto xmas for the scan. I'll speak to my gp tomorrow about my spotting first & see what she thinks of the scan being that long away. 🙈 xx

marsvar28 · 11/11/2020 20:44

@ChunkyButFunky87 ps we're both due same date :) 9th here too🤚 xx

ChunkyButFunky87 · 11/11/2020 20:45

Ah yay! Lol due date buddies lol @marsvar28 here's to the 9th and a cheap Xmas pressie for the grandparents announcing it GrinGrin

PurBal · 12/11/2020 07:00

@marsvar28 yes, exactly. We came out cautiously optimistic. I'm definitely pregnant, it's not ectopic, the baby is not wildly outside the realms of "normal" in terms of size. I've been repeating the mantra that, whatever the outcome, we can't change it. Don't get me wrong, I'm anxious and wanting the outcome to be a positive one but that's how I'm managing my feelings.

Hopingfor3 · 12/11/2020 07:04

@marsvar28 I think booking bloods need to be done by 10 weeks to do the check for sickle cell, or something anyway. I had mine rushed through last time cuz they forgot about me. First time I only had the Nuchal fold done at scan by 1 day otherwise I'd have been too far 😅 so I'd say defo don't be afraid to gently remind them and ask the question!

I started taking B6 yesterday (but also 1 prochlorperazine) and I can't tell you how much better I felt!!! Like a different person. Just praying today is the same xx

Hopingfor3 · 12/11/2020 07:09

@PurBal I'm so sorry you're going through this stress and unknowing. I had a miscarriage which dragged out for about 5 weeks and the waiting was by far the worst part (specially cuz we were on our honeymoon for some of it and ended up in foreign hospitals 3 times with them telling me it was ectopic and I couldn't fly home cuz if it ruptured mid air I'd die 🙈).

Anyhow, I've also had spotting for the first 4 + weeks of my pregnancies with my daughters too and they're absolutely fine so it can definitely be a happy ending! It's just a very stressful process in the meantime xx

Scottishskifun · 12/11/2020 08:04

@Lostwordsblessing it's certainly possible I work full time in a career I love my husband works 4 days a week and my toddler goes to nursery 4 days a week. I find it's possible if you have a flexible employer and a partner who really does 50/50 parenting. My husband gets our son ready in the mornings whilst I start work takes him to nursery. I then do pick up and dinner. It's about finding what your both strong at it also means that my son has a very close bond with his dad and always has done as my husband has always helped out.

Our family is over 600 miles away sometimes it's difficult especially no real chance of getting a break etc but it's also made us a really strong family unit. Nursery is expensive but my son has loved it since his first week at 11 months old.

Luckylola12 · 12/11/2020 08:16

@mrsh2019 okay thankyou! In that case i think im 4 weeks 6days!

Has anyone else got bad constipation/trapped wind? I keep getting it, and its so painful!

EmilyB28 · 12/11/2020 08:52

@Luckylola12 I’m 4+3 and am switching between constipated wind and bloated and then running to the loo!!

EatPrayYoga · 12/11/2020 09:08

I have had constipation and wind since before I found out I'm pregnant.

The sickness is quite mild yet but it's there sometimes. I had felt queasy on and off last week but now it's more like a feeling like I could just suddenly be sick but it's better if I don't think about it!

Is anyone else not feeling massively sick at 6 weeks or had that in a successful pregnancy? I know not everyone is sick but I am a worrier as we lost our first baby. I can't remember when the sickness started with her.

Hopingfor3 · 12/11/2020 09:11

@EatPrayYoga I've felt sick with my two daughters but never been sick. Never had a day off work or had to cancel any client appointments etc so can't have been that bad!

I defo feel worse this time though but I'm obvs older and already have 2 children which is probs contributing!! Xx

robodo · 12/11/2020 09:17

With my first I never had a single ounce of sickness or any nausea tbh I didn't feel pregnant at all apart from my massive belly and feeling her move after 24 weeks so it definitely doesn't reflect the outcome shes a crazy one year old now

Blughbablugh · 12/11/2020 09:19

I never had any sickness with my dd. I had the thing where I didn't feel like eating anything but it wasn't nausea. This time though I'm getting nausea, mainly when I haven't eaten or in the evening.
