Hi everyone!

There doesn’t seem to be a thread yet for July 2021, probably because most of you haven’t got your BFP yet! I got mine yesterday at 9DPO which was super early but had a pretty clear line on a FRER with afternoon urine, so confirmed with a digital. My due date is 4th July 2021 and I can’t wait for more of you to join me!! Feeling excited but a bit overwhelmed / not everything has sunk in yet. Also it’s still super early so I’m crossing my fingers (and legs!) that this little one sticks. It’s my first baby so I have no experience of any of this!

Hopefully see more of you in the next few days!!

Xx

@AnxiousAnnie86 wow that’s a really strong positive , especially for a cheapie. I wouldn’t be worried at all hun. I had a doctor app this evening, just to confirm the pregnancy. I’ve kidney disease so need to be monitored closely throughout the pregnancy. My blood pressure was already high , can’t believe it’s high already on the first visit. On my second baby I was admitted at 37 weeks with high bp. Wasn’t expecting it at 4/5 weeks 😭

MandsH · 05/11/2020 09:34

4+4 today by calculations. I’m already thinking about booking an early private scan at 8-9 weeks for reassurance. Any advice for or against?

EatPrayYoga · 05/11/2020 09:47

A scan at 8-9 weeks is a good time because there should be a heartbeat by then

I just feel fine today and I can't work out if I feel a bit lightheaded and queasy because I'm pregnant or if I always feel like this 😂

I spoke to GP about flu jab today and she advised to wait til 12 weeks

strawberrycherryblossom · 05/11/2020 09:53

@MandsH I've booked a private scan for when I think I'll be 8-9 weeks. I had one at 7+5 last time and it was lovely to see the heartbeat.

I got a 3+ on CB today which is a relief. Still interested to be properly dated though!

purplepoppet92 · 05/11/2020 10:31

@EatPrayYoga did she say why? I'm 5 weeks and got my flu jab a few days ago 😟

EatPrayYoga · 05/11/2020 10:42

I'm sure it's fine purple and I'm sorry I didn't mean to worry anyone. It is hard either way as I would have worried if I'd had it but I am a bit worried about not having it too due the risks associated with flu.

She just said they advise to have it after 12 weeks and that advice has not changed so she cancelled the appointment I had booked for Saturday. But I note the nhs website says it's fine.

Blughbablugh · 05/11/2020 10:45

@purplepoppet92 I had mine a few days ago as well and the nurse said it is fine in any stage of pregnancy. She said it is not a live vaccine and so won't hurt baby.

EatPrayYoga · 05/11/2020 11:33

I think there are no definite answers and maybe there is a risk whether you do have it or you don't. I will follow my doctor's advice but I am anxious anyway as I lost my first baby at 40 weeks.

How is everyone feeling?

I feel a little bit lightheaded and headachey, ever so slightly queasy but also keep feeling like I'm hungry but there is nothing that I really want to eat. The constipation / wind seems to be ongoing!

I am tempted to do another test for reassurance but I am trying not to!

robodo · 05/11/2020 11:58

Anyone not made an appointment with midwife yet? I'm only 5 weeks not sure when to contact them, I have the worst anxiety of talking on the phone and I just cannot bring myself to phone them yet because I feel like its not realHmm

EatPrayYoga · 05/11/2020 12:06

robodo Do what you feel comfortable with. It's more likely you'll get your booking in appointment and maybe your 12 week scan sooner if you're call them now but I can understand not wanting to tell anyone else too as it is relatively early and I'm sure there's no harm in waiting a little. I haven't told anyone other than the GP and midwives (and DH obvs!)

ChunkyButFunky87 · 05/11/2020 12:06

Yes @robodo, I'm 5 weeks tomorrow and booked in for 24th Nov at 7+4

Blughbablugh · 05/11/2020 12:18

@robodo I think it depends on your area to be honest. In my area its just a phone call to the GP and they then put you on the midwife's calendar. They said I won't be contacted until between 8-10 weeks to even arrange a booking in appointment. I know though that some ladies on here have already got dates and some have to refer themselves. Best to check the procedure with your GP

Char1803 · 05/11/2020 12:24

@EatPrayYoga I am with you on the wind/constipation. I suffer from IBS and so it has been so painful for me, I never normally suffer constipation unless I'm having an extreme IBS flare up but I've found myself in agony most days. I hope it eases up!!

severusfox · 05/11/2020 13:04

Hi 👋🏼

IF these are positive, I'll be due on the 15th July 21

First time trying

Second baby although numerous early losses so just keeping everything crossed

Positive vibes to you all 💜

I’m having a reassurance scan at the end of the month and I think I’ll just be 7 weeks when it happens should I definitely see something if it’s there and a heartbeat should be heard? Counting down the days to it and just hoping all is well but I haven’t had a scan that early before so anxious

EatPrayYoga · 05/11/2020 13:12

Char I hope it eases up for you. IIRC some pregnancy supplements like pregnacare can make it worse so you could look into those.

purplepoppet92 · 05/11/2020 13:23

@sweetpea12 yeah you will likely see the heartbeat by then x

Hopefulmummie · 05/11/2020 14:42

Hope everyone doing ok today.
I had a call from the midwife earlier just checking about the dates I've put on my self referral form as she thought it was too early for me to have a missed period.
Not sure why as AF was due yesterday.

She said my 12 week scan will more than likely be after Christmas so thinking I will definitely book a private one

annahannah · 05/11/2020 16:43

Hi all. Please can I join? Got a BFP today at only 10DPO, which makes me due 21st July 2021!

Only symptoms so far have been slightly dizzy and sore boobs. First pregnancy! Incredibly early but strong lines on 2x FRER and even a 'pregnant' on a digital. Aware it is super early though!

severusfox · 05/11/2020 17:34

My DH doesn't know yet so I've got this ready for tomorrow morning 🥰

Hopefulmummie · 05/11/2020 19:22

@severusfox that's lovely :)

Does anyone know much about clear blue digital weeks tests? According to my lmp I should be 4+1 so I done a clear blue digital today and it showed pregnant 2-3 weeks when it should've only shown 1-2? I'm confused

cakecakecheese · 05/11/2020 19:30

Hello!

I've had my first cycle of IVF and am rather surprised that it's worked!

According to the Flo calculator I'm due 12th July.

stellarfox · 05/11/2020 20:51

@Hopefulmummie Those tests are weeks since conception so they don’t include the two extra weeks we add on before you technically conceive. If you’re 4+1 hopefully if you test again in a couple of days you’d get 2-3 weeks

stellarfox · 05/11/2020 20:53

@Hopefulmummie Sorry I misread that slightly. If you are 4+1 if you were to minus 2 weeks for before conception, you are 2 weeks + 1 day, so 2-3 weeks should be right! Or maybe it’s twins hehe

Zo35 · 05/11/2020 21:13

Hope everyone has had a good day.

I bit the bullet and completed the self-referral to midwifes form online today. Says I should hear from them in 3 working days. So hopefully will have some idea of when my booking in apt might be by Tues/Wed next week.
