Hi everyone!

There doesn’t seem to be a thread yet for July 2021, probably because most of you haven’t got your BFP yet! I got mine yesterday at 9DPO which was super early but had a pretty clear line on a FRER with afternoon urine, so confirmed with a digital. My due date is 4th July 2021 and I can’t wait for more of you to join me!! Feeling excited but a bit overwhelmed / not everything has sunk in yet. Also it’s still super early so I’m crossing my fingers (and legs!) that this little one sticks. It’s my first baby so I have no experience of any of this!

Hopefully see more of you in the next few days!!

Xx

I agree that the last one looks darker @Jilly1988 x

Honestly I'd stop testing now. You're only going to upset yourself. You've consistently got a positive line so you're pregnant. A plastic test isn't going to tell you much beyond that 🙂

Hi all

Just dropping in for some company. This is my third pregnancy, I have an (almost) 2 year old and had a missed miscarriage in August. Im 4 weeks 5 days would be due on July 8. I'm very nervous given what happened the last time and trying to be rational about it all but finding it hard. Each day drags! Not too much in the way of symptoms yet.

Looking forward to chatting with you all

ChunkyButFunky87 · 03/11/2020 10:04

Morning ladies,

4+4 today, due 9th July.

DD just turned 4
Early miscarriage in May this year
So third pregnancy but hopefully second baby in my arms.

Feeling anxious, constant toilet checking. I lost our last one at 5+2, just hoping everything goes smoothly. A much wanted baby

Morning everyone. I'm already losing track of who is who on here. I know it'll be easier on the Facebook group but can't bring myself to join just yet. Although my plan to just try forget about it all for the week hasn't worked well - I've already reinstalled the pregnancy apps on my phone! DS at nursery today but I've got the week off work so not even got that to distract me (although so have a list of diy tasks that I really must start!)

Lollipop87 · 03/11/2020 12:05

Hi everyone! Welcome and congrats to all the new July mamas! 💗 Sorry I haven’t been on since before the weekend, didn’t realise there had been so much activity! If you’ve sent me a message with your email address then I’ve added you to the Facebook group, if you don’t receive an invite then just message me again and we’ll figure something out 😊

Crossing my fingers for sticky beans for you all! I got my BFP on 20th October so have known for exactly 2 weeks. It’s our first baby and we were lucky enough to fall first cycle so we’re over the moon 😊 I’ve had on and off cramping / tugging sensations (which is apparently your womb expanding) and my boobs aren’t sore but feel fuller and a bit more sensitive if I press them. No nausea yet but I’m 5+1 so thinking it might kick in this week or next if it’s going to. Also keep having feelings of “is this really real?” It feels like so long to wait until first appointment and scan. I’ve got my booking in appointment on 25th Nov when I’ll be 8+2. We told my in-laws last weekend because they were going into tier 3, and now we’re glad we did seeing as there’s another national lockdown! Telling my mum and sister tomorrow evening and husband’s sister this week virtually (have sent a cute scratch-off reveal card) but not telling extended family or friends until closer to 12 weeks although might tell close friends if we have an early scan at 8-9 weeks although we haven’t booked one yet.

Hope everyone is doing well, it’s so lovely to chat to people in the same situation 💞 xxx

Hello

Congratulations to you all.

I have been following this thread for a few days and I am now tentatively posting here as I had a positive test last Friday (and again on Saturday). I am 4 + 6.

This is our second baby. Our first baby was stillborn at 40 weeks last year so we are very nervous this time around but also very pleased as we have been trying for over a year.

I am 36.

Symptoms-wise, like many of you, I worry when I feel absolutely fine but I have had some cramps, some mild sensations on my left side, a bit of nausea, constipation and wind most days, been a little emotional (and a little grumpy today but probably because I'm stressing about work) and a couple of times have had that empty stomach hunger pain feeling in an evening even though I've eaten.

Boobs not so sore this time around.

I wondered whether any of you were planning to get the flu jab? I know it is advised during pregnancy but not sure if it is recommended during the first trimester or not.

Blughbablugh · 03/11/2020 12:29

Hi @EatPrayYoga I'm so sorry to hear about your loss.
I had my flu jab yesterday (booked before I found out I was pregnant as i have asthma). The nurse said its absolutely fine to have it in the first trimester as it's not a live vaccine.

rhuzzle89 · 03/11/2020 12:43

Hi @EatPrayYoga,

Congratulations on your pregnancy. I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your baby last year.

Flu jab should be fine in first trimester!

EatPrayYoga · 03/11/2020 12:48

Thanks @Blughbablugh @rhuzzle89

Sounds like it is fine! I am going to try to speak to my GP when she is in, on Thursday. I have booked in for Saturday but then had a mild panic, like you do...

Lollipop87 · 03/11/2020 13:20

@EatPrayYoga so sorry for your loss, crossing my fingers for you 💐

I don’t have a flu jab already booked because I don’t have asthma or anything, but I’ve read that pregnant women are encouraged to so gonna ask about it at my booking in appointment

Zo35 · 03/11/2020 13:22

@EatPrayYoga echoing what everyone else has said, so sorry to read about your previous loss.

I definitely had the flu jab in the first trimester last time round. I guess that should be something at the top of the list once I'm making this pregnancy official. Thanks for the reminder!

EatPrayYoga · 03/11/2020 13:54

Thanks @Lollipop87 and @Zo35 That's useful to know. Last time I found out I was pregnant earlier in the year so I was already in the second trimester by the time I had the flu jab and whooping cough jabs

Hopefulmummie · 03/11/2020 18:35

Hi everyone.
Congratulations on BFP

I had an ectopic pregnancy back in June at 7 weeks which was devastating. Me and my partner have been TTC again since late August and have had 2 BFN since.

My AF due tomorrow but I've felt strange all week and been having sharp cramps for few days which have been different to period cramps. Decided to do a test today and got a BFP :)
I obviously don't want to get excited cause of what happened last time. I am going to do a self referral tomorrow as I know they scan you from 6 weeks if you have a previous ectopic pregnancy.
Fingers crossed everything goes ok

3scompany · 03/11/2020 19:03

Hi ladies 👋🏻 I hope it's ok if I tentatively join...

I'm still VERY early (EDD 15th/16th July) and I've been having cramps. Every day. Not too strong but enough for me to notice. And pretty consistent. For those that have had them: was this normal for you? And when did they subside? I'm panicking really (although I know what will be will be). Other than cramping I've been bloated awfully and felt sick a lot. And have had very sore boobs!

Hoping you all have a happy and healthy 9mths xx

GreenApplesYo · 03/11/2020 19:17

Hi @3scompany I'm new here too. Due date 14th July 🙂1st baby. Not much help answering your question, but I've been worrying about cramps too. Among other things! My cramps are very mild and I've been having them since 10dpo I'd say. The other thing I have is an achy vagina haha it's really annoying! I'm hoping all this is normal. Probably is but it's hard to relax!

MandsH · 03/11/2020 19:18

Hi everyone! Got BFP yesterday and due date should be 11th July 😊. I’m 35 next week and been trying for 19 months, this will be our first so will need all the advice I can get!

Blughbablugh · 03/11/2020 19:22

I've been having a lot of cramping today, currently 5+2 weeks. They have certainly ramped up a bit and seem to remember having similar with my dd. I think it's just everything stretching and the uterus growing.

Welcome & congratulations!! 💘 Ive been the same with cramps! I'm 6+2 now and still every evening in my lower back. Occasionally in my lower stomach too just not as often! (Was worse when I was driving but that was after a night shift too so I'm not sure if all the steps effected that). Baby no.1 for me so I haven't experienced this before but from what I've read this is normal? X
Hopefulmummie · 03/11/2020 19:26

My cramps are more like sharp pain very low and in my back. Hoping this is normal

Luckyelephant1 · 03/11/2020 20:09

I'm a bit concerned as my cramps are exactly like the cramps I get just before or on the first day of my period as is the bloating/gas (sorry tmi). Keep expecting to see blood every time I go to the loo. I'm 4+3 weeks. Hoping this is normal too.

Candyflosscrochet · 03/11/2020 20:27

With my first i had cramps for weeks....convinced af would show so didn't test for 2 weeks!! I do remember varying degrees of cramps with my other kids too, so it is pretty normal. This one is my 5th pregnancy (loss in june) and not experiencing anything apart from pinchy boobs and gas (Sorry tmi!!). Think I'm not crampy because I've been pregnant recently.
Obviously, call your mw for reassurance or If they are sharp, double up pains, especially one-sided, but if you Google early pregnancy cramps, you'll see it's very common and normal.
It is just the uterus beginning to stretch and baby getting snuggly! Xx

GreenApplesYo · 03/11/2020 20:34

Aw thank you @candyflosscrochet I like the idea of the baby getting snuggly.

Thanks for the reassurance. Hope all goes well for you 🙂

3scompany · 03/11/2020 20:59

Thank you ladies ❤️ certainly seems v common. I just don't remember having them with my 3 previous. 😔 I'll hopefully feel better after the weekend if I haven't bled.

I do wish I could dial down the anxiety...

Xx

Lollipop87 · 03/11/2020 23:14

Welcome and congrats to all the new ladies! I’m 5+1 today and my cramps have gone like this:
6-7DPO - lots of cramping and bloating (now looking back this was probably implantation cramping because I got my BFP quite early at 9DPO)
3 weeks pregnant - cramps and a weird heavy feeling in my tummy for most of that week
4 weeks pregnant (last week) - the cramps subsided and I started to worry because they’d gone 😂
5 weeks pregnant (this week) - cramps are back, low down in my tummy. Not too strong but enough to know they’re there.

Hope that reassures some of you, I think it’s normal for them to come and go. If you have them so strong you’re doubled over in pain I’d suggest calling your doctor or midwife xxx
