Hi everyone!

There doesn’t seem to be a thread yet for July 2021, probably because most of you haven’t got your BFP yet! I got mine yesterday at 9DPO which was super early but had a pretty clear line on a FRER with afternoon urine, so confirmed with a digital. My due date is 4th July 2021 and I can’t wait for more of you to join me!! Feeling excited but a bit overwhelmed / not everything has sunk in yet. Also it’s still super early so I’m crossing my fingers (and legs!) that this little one sticks. It’s my first baby so I have no experience of any of this!

Hopefully see more of you in the next few days!!

Xx

Forgot to say I’m waiting until about 6 weeks to book in with the midwife!

If I ovulated on 11/10 does this mean I’m 5 weeks completed yesterday? Then tomorrow I’ll be 5 weeks 1 day tomorrow? I find it so confusing

Nam095 · 01/11/2020 20:48

@stellarfox I ovulated 11/10 as well and I’m exactly 5 weeks today and then like you say tomorrow I’ll be 5+1 ☺️ so you’ll be the same (although I think it may also depend on LMP as well?)

BellaBella84 · 02/11/2020 08:34

Hello everyone. I'm 36, pregnant with baby #1, 4 weeks + 4 today, and due window between 18 June and 23 July.

I've told my sister already because we are super close and I need to tell work tomorrow because I'm in a high risk job.

I am so nervous right now that every twinge has me doubting, convinced I'll see blood when I wipe. And I keep flitting between calm (ish) and planning and full on neurotic!

Does anyone have an app that they're happy with yet?

BellaBella84 · 02/11/2020 08:48

@Nam095 @stellarfox Even if you know when you've ovulated you still need to date your pregnancy from your LMP until confirmed with dating scan. The main reason this is important at the moment is that all services are running a bit slower and to get your 'scan and screen' within the right timeframe you need to refer to midwives at 6 weeks to have booking apt at 8 weeks for the hospital to book your 'scan and screen' in for between 10 and 14 weeks.
Our self referral forms say please don't refer before 6 weeks, and then to paraphrase 'if you're 8 weeks already for the love of God phone us now!' 🤣

Nam095 · 02/11/2020 08:55

@BellaBella84 oh I referred myself at 3+5 🙊 I have my booking appointment at 9 weeks and first scan at 13 weeks

BellaBella84 · 02/11/2020 09:10

@Nam095 Was that with an FRER? I didn't get a solid positive until 4 weeks exactly, a couple of squinters but nothing real. Are you feeling pregnant yet?

GreenApplesYo · 02/11/2020 09:21

Hello everyone 🙂hope you're all well. Is it OK if I join the group too?

I am 3+6 today. Got BFP at 9dpo so have cautiously been waiting to see what happens. Good lines on FRERs, fingers crossed it sticks. Planning to call the dr/midwife on Friday if this week goes OK. Due date would be 14th July.

Really pleased there is a thread for July babies... I am doing OK at the moment, not too many symptoms but reassuring to know there is a group of people here to share the experience with! x

Nam095 · 02/11/2020 09:27

@BellaBella84 yeah I got a clear line on a FRER at 3+2 / 9dpo, I guess it depends when you implanted and how quickly your hcg multiplies. Today I’m 5+1 and got a 3+ weeks on a clear blue digital test, I’m going to stop testing now as I wanted to get a 3+ just to be sure everything was progressing.

First week I didn’t feel pregnant at all but past couple days I’ve been feeling it, really bad morning sickness and really sore boobs. How have you been feeling?

BellaBella84 · 02/11/2020 09:34

@Nam095 Not going to lie, I am super nervous today! 🤦‍♀️

Scottishskifun · 02/11/2020 09:39

Morning
I am slowly coming to terms with having several positive tests last Wednesday (clear blue digital so certain they are correct).
I hated being pregnant with my ds and quite worried on how I will juggle a very energetic toddler (he will be 2.5 in July) alongside everything. Also not liking that their aren't any pregnancy yoga/plates classes in person in my area. Not going to get much chance to build up a support network Sad

Scottishskifun · 02/11/2020 10:06

Sorry that sounded really negative!

I just had loads of issues through previous pregnancy including very low BP, regular fainting, anaemia, pgp meaning I could barely walk, pregnancy insomnia etc followed by a quick birth where I lost a lot of blood and my son ended up in neonatal unit despite being full term and I still have diastasis. The thought of going through half of these things again makes me feel pretty rubbish!

hippohippohippo · 02/11/2020 10:25

Hi everyone! Been trying to call my GP to sort a booking appt all morning but struggling to get through. Wasn't going to get in touch yet (I think I'm barely 4 weeks) but slightly anxious as I've got coldsores on my lips for the first time ever (to my knowledge) and am now worrying myself reading that first time oral herpes is an issue in pregnant women! Anyone got any advice on this that might help me whilst I wait for the doctors to pick up?!

Marushka82 · 02/11/2020 10:37

Morning! I hope I can join :) Congratulations everyone!
I've just done a test on Saturday after my period was 2 days late (normally super regular) and got a BFP. I'm 4 weeks 3 days and due 8 July. This is my second pregnancy and I have a 7yo DD (I KNOW, big gap!) - I've forgotten nearly everything about the appointments etc (currently on hold to midwife unit) but I'm super excited as I've wanted another baby for a good while.
I'm 38 so definitely no spring chicken and anxious about how this pregnancy will go. Are there any 'older' mums here? Or someone whose PFB is going to get a sibling and there's a big age gap?

Blughbablugh · 02/11/2020 10:50

@Marushka82 welcome to the group and congratulations! Im 37, 38 in December and a bit anxious about being pregnant at this age. Its already taking it out of me more than when I was pregnant with my dd. I have a 3.5 year old so not a huge gap but she is very energetic and has the most awful tantrums at times! Im 5 weeks today and due 5th July.

Candyflosscrochet · 02/11/2020 10:52

@Marushka82
Hi there! I'm nearly 38 and have a 16yr and 12yr old and a nearly 3yr old!
I remember feeling panicked about not remembering a thing with my 3yr old....but it all came flooding back!! Xx

Marushka82 · 02/11/2020 11:08

Thanks so much for a warm welcome ladies! @Candyflosscrochet - wow, you must have your hands full!
I've booked a midwife appointment for 16 Nov and a 7 week viability scan (privately) - never had these before but I cannot wait until the NHS 12 week scan - it's torture and gives me anxiety.
I don't have many symptoms other than very sore and heavy boobs and general tiredness. Didn't have any nausea in my first pregnancy and kept worrying until the scan that lack of nausea means that something is wrong...

Can I please join the FB group too? :)
Cannot concentrate on work at ALL.... Wfh which I think is super lucky - last time I had a long commute and had to come up with excuses about why I wasn't drinking :D

Marushka82 · 02/11/2020 11:09

@Candyflosscrochet - does your username mean you crochet? I got into it about two months ago and cannot stop!

Beck5tar · 02/11/2020 11:39

Hi I'm due 12th July never had a full-term pregnancy. So feeling anxious and trying to be relaxed. We have had 12 miscarriages and just thought it would help to follow others that are experiencing the same thing at the same time. It is comforting to hear that others are experiencing cramps are they in your lower back as well? Thanks, @Lollipop87 for creating the group

ZoeRoma · 02/11/2020 11:45

Hi ladies,

I am in shock to be posting here again. Actually, I'm just in shock full stop. I'm 43 and apparently pregnant with my second child, due July 12th. I feel like I've been hit with a sledgehammer tbh and I have so many conflicting thoughts going round in my head (but there's no question that we will be keeping the baby if nature allows us to do so).

Best of luck to everyone.

ZoeRoma · 02/11/2020 12:18

We can freak out together then @Scottishskifun

Candyflosscrochet · 02/11/2020 12:18

@Marushka82 yes it does! It's a bit of an obsession! I've been doing it for a few years...make all sorts. It's a great mindfulness technique!

Scottishskifun · 02/11/2020 12:23

@ZoeRoma

We can freak out together then *@Scottishskifun*
😂 Thanks! It makes me feel a bit better that I'm not alone in feeling a bit all over the place at the moment! I'm still trying to process haven't faced contacting my midwife team for a booking in appointment yet!
ZoeRoma · 02/11/2020 12:43

We're waiting a week... fingers crossed, but the chances of an early loss are high at my age. Can't wait too long, though, because clearly I need to be closely monitored.

Loulabelle90 · 02/11/2020 13:25

Hey ladies, do you mind if I join in?

I got my BFP on Friday 30th Oct. Due on 7th July.

Not gonna lie I am terrified. It's taken us 5 years to get here again. Countless surgeries and 2 rounds of IVF. I am worried about even posting on here in case I jinx it. I had a MMC in January 2017 after I somehow contracted a severe pelvic infection and have stage IV endometriosis. I'm just soo worried in case I get to my scan and the baby has stopped growing or there's no heartbeat. I'm booked in for an early scan at 8 weeks on 26th November with my clinic.

I am also hesitant about informing the midwife. I wanted to wait until after my 8 week scan. Do you think that's too late? I'm just terrified of getting my hopes up like last time Sad. Anyway sorry for being a Debbie downer!

Have a lovely day x
