Hi everyone!

There doesn’t seem to be a thread yet for July 2021, probably because most of you haven’t got your BFP yet! I got mine yesterday at 9DPO which was super early but had a pretty clear line on a FRER with afternoon urine, so confirmed with a digital. My due date is 4th July 2021 and I can’t wait for more of you to join me!! Feeling excited but a bit overwhelmed / not everything has sunk in yet. Also it’s still super early so I’m crossing my fingers (and legs!) that this little one sticks. It’s my first baby so I have no experience of any of this!

Hopefully see more of you in the next few days!!

Xx

Ah congratulations. I have just had a positive test too ( I took 3) but it must only be 3/ maybe 3.5 weeks, super early! Due around 14th July 2021

Zo35 · 01/11/2020 14:49

Hi everyone. I'm tentatively joining the thread after a positive test for DC2 this morning. EDD of 8 July. I'll probably lurk for the first week or so as had chemical before so trying (and failing) not to think about it too much til next weekend. I'll also wait a little while before sending my email over for the Facebook group but will do it if this sticks as the Facebook group for my first has been amazing. A bit surprised as it's happened a lot quicker than the first time round. Hope everyone is feeling ok today.

JenC95 · 01/11/2020 15:03

@Penny21xxx I've not told anyone as of yet (only found out yesterday, does telling my dogs count? Haha), not even my fiance! Was going to wait till next weekend just to see how this week goes and ordered a few reveal bits to share the news with him - we'll see if I can actually hold out that long though, hoping everything arrives earlier than expected!

Hope everyone is feeling okay, worrying is perfectly normal but try not stress to much, easier said then done I know but we're all in this together! Smile

marsvar28 · 01/11/2020 15:07

kirsty0028 · 01/11/2020 16:29

Hi all can I also join 🎉

I am due on the 4th with my first baby. I am 5 weeks today. I am like all of you finding it hard to not worry and just relax + enjoy the pregnancy.

I got my bfp on Friday and I used my last cheapie as well as a clear blue digital.
I have more cheapies coming but they won't be here till Wednesday. When they arrive, Should I be tracking the lines to see if they're getting darker, how long do people do this for?
I have no reason for concern I'm just a worrier.

My symptoms so far have been fatigue, bit of Brain fog, lack of appetite but no sickness yet (thank god) and as of today my boobs have started to tingle and get a little sore. I love this as I find the symptoms reassuring.

Still can't believe its real!

July21Baby · 01/11/2020 17:00

Hey hun

Congrats! I'm also due my first baby early July and so excited.

But I am also so terrified. Any slight pain I am terrified. It would be great to speak to people who are also expecting their first baby to put my mind at rest!

xx

Penny21xxx · 01/11/2020 17:14

@JenC95 oh really!? That’s such a lovely idea! I don’t know how you’re doing it! I’ve only told my fiancé and it’s killing me not telling anyone else (I’m trying to hold out til Christmas Day) xx

marsvar28 · 01/11/2020 17:20

@Penny21xxx we are planning on doing the same. I'll be 12 weeks exactly on christmas day. So itll be a great surprise for my inlaws as itll be their first grandchild. But its going to be so hard keeping it in for the next 8weeks🙈 xx

kirsty0028 · 01/11/2020 17:34

Aww congrats girlies.

I think there is a Facebook group set up but you need to be invited by @Lollipop87 if you pm her your email address, but I cannot figure out how to pm her! Could someone help a sister out and advise?

I am also trying to hold in this big secret till Christmas Day but ugh it's so difficult!! 😆 but Christmas would be the best day by a Mile to tell everybody in my book, just sounds like a lovely idea. I'll be 13 weeks then. Seems like a stretch away yet 🤦🏼‍♀️ it's so hard not to worry, I have no particular reason to but can't seem to allow myself to get too excited just yet which kinda sucks

Penny21xxx · 01/11/2020 17:54

@marsvar28 ah that’s lovely how it’s fell exactly on 12 weeks too! Yeah my thoughts exactly!! My sister in law is due 10 weeks before me so joining in with the chat about my niece/nephew is helping me haha! Do you have an idea how you’re going to tell them? Xx

@kirsty0028 if you go upto the last comment @Lollipop87 made and click the three dots it’ll come up with ‘pm’ click that then send her your email. I’m waiting to be added too it too 😘

I think it’s the best day too I said that to my fiancé when we were TTC but didn’t think it’d happen so quickly to be able too - I’ll be 14 weeks! Yeah I agree with the worry, it’s normal though I feel everyone is the exact same on this so you’re not on your own! Is this your first? Xx

Jilly1988 · 01/11/2020 18:11

So lovely to have a group of people at the exact same stage. When are you all going to call your GP to let them know?

kirsty0028 · 01/11/2020 18:16

@Penny21xxx Thank you so much, i was on the app on my phone so there was no dots so i just logged onto my laptop lol :)

We were the same RE christmas day, we were planning on trying "properly" next month and tracking ovulation then etc and we only decided halfway through October and we decided to "pull the goalie" lol but i was gone out of my fertile window, so i must have ovulated late Grin and then i missed my period and was like ehhhhh hmm!lol

Cant wait to tell my fam, no idea how yet though, but this will be the first grandchild so there will be an amazing buzz :)

This is my first, what about you?
Like i just cannot relax, i think once i make it to 7 weeks i will feel much better, so just hoping these two weeks fly by.

Zo35 · 01/11/2020 18:19

I've only told my husband so far, and our one year old but not sure that counts as he doesn't have a clue what we said! Will be holding out as long as possible before telling anyone else.
We are meant to be away weekend 4 Dec (lockdown/restrictions permitting) with my Mum and StepDad so will have to tell them as it'll be obvious with me not drinking. I would have rather had waited till after 12week scan though.
Going to wait til end of the week to call GP I think, maybe even start of next.

kirsty0028 · 01/11/2020 18:28

@Zo35 aww the one year old. so cute.

Ya that could be a problem alright that weekend! I have my birthday coming up and hubbys birthday before christmas also where we would normally do something for it, so may be hard to hide the fact that im nt having any glass of wine so hoping to kinda sneak my way around those. How many weeks are you?

I am 5 weeks and seeing my doc tomorrow, mainly cos its my first and i dont have a clue about anything so i just booked it, i hope its not too early!

Waffle10 · 01/11/2020 18:32

Congrats to everyone!

@Jilly1988 I think I phoned my practice about 6 weeks last time and booked the first appointment for 8ish weeks. We go straight to the community midwives here, don't see GP at all.

Still haven't told anyone yet either, will wait until after the 12 week scan I think. We told close family really early on last time, but would like to keep it to ourselves until the 12 weeks

Penny21xxx · 01/11/2020 18:32

@Jilly1988 I know it’s helped me so much being on here as I was worried about cramping etc! I rang my GP on Thursday, they didn’t even take any details just gave me a phone number to book with a midwife (i think I’ll be high risk/consultant led so I didn’t really want to wait). I’ve got my first appointment on Friday which is over the phone and I’ll be 7 weeks then.. x

@kirsty0028 omg exactly the same with me! My cycles are mad aswell my last one was 45 days so I thought it was going to take a while with tracking etc. Meant to be 🥰

Oh that’s amazing!! Can’t wait to hear about it!

This is my first too! I know exactly what you mean, It’s so hard to find the balance isn’t it! It’ll work out. These few weeks will fly by!! Xx

Penny21xxx · 01/11/2020 18:33

@Zo35 ah that’s a lovely age gap! Little best friends!! Yeah everyone would put 2 and 2 together if I opted out of drinking haha! X

Zo35 · 01/11/2020 18:43

@kirsty0028 Birthdays are always hard to hide it. I was lucky the first time round, not many people queried my lack of drinking but I feel like family will be wise to any excuses this time round. Last time o found out the day before hosting a big family bbq. I was pouring myself fizz into a coloured wine glasses and pretending to have some until I was able to sneak away to pour it out and replace with appletiser!

I found out this morning, 4weeks+3. So I will try to see if I can pay for an early scan just before the weekend away as that will make me feel better about telling Mum. Will have to tell in-laws early too if telling Mum as feels fair.

Defo not too early as they will just kick start the referral to midwife, some areas don't require an actual gp appointment but I had to last time too (felt like a waste of time tbh, I swear all he did was complete a form). I've had a chemical in the past and this has all happened so much quicker than last time so I think I'm just giving myself the week before starting anything official.

Candyflosscrochet · 01/11/2020 18:47

So lovely there so many of us, and like @Jilly1988 said, all the same time!
I'll also be 12 weeks on Xmas day, but I won't be able to keep it a secret! My last pg was my 4th and I was showing by the time I found out I'd mc (8.5wks)....So we have told parents and siblings as we'd want their support if things don't go well again. I think I'll do a new year announcement after the 12wk scan....new year, new start etc.
I already have a 16 and 12yr old from a previous marriage and a nearly 3yr old from my current marriage, so the age gaps will be similar.
I think I'll let the midwife team know this week but won't expect a booking in call for some weeks yet.
Xx

Zo35 · 01/11/2020 18:49

@Penny21xxx He is 18months now so it will be just the sort of age gap we would have wanted. That and the fact it was so much simpler this time round are making me think it's all too good to be true at the moment.
Another reason why I'm taking the week to be sure I think. Although, I've got dentist tomorrow and if they want to X-ray they will ask about pregnancy so it will feel crazy to say I am!

kirsty0028 · 01/11/2020 19:19

@Penny21xxx aw so cute! It was lovely the way it happened 🥰

I'm in Ireland and we need to go through the gp first and then we get referred as far as I know! To be honest like I'm super apprehensive and I didn't expect to be like this, I'm analysing every little thing and driving myself crazy ugh I'll have to book for an early reassurance private scan I think because I this kinda sucks!! I wish I could just chill 😞 hubby is perfectly fine in great spirits, no worries about it whatsoever, wish I could be as optimistic!

@Zo35 that was a good idea replacing the bubbly might steal that off of you! I know I just want to be sure everything is ok before I tell anybody and I don't want anything like that outing me!

marsvar28 · 01/11/2020 20:14

@Penny21xxx yes its so loveky that its fallen right on xmas day. I havent a clue how we're going to announce it. Im at the panic stage of 'is this going to stay or not' im heart scared of losing it. Xx

Also guys are you still going to BD during early pregnancy. Or would it harm the baby? Does anyone no? Xx

marsvar28 · 01/11/2020 20:16

@kirsty0028 im from N.ireland. Im phoning the GP tomorrow and hopefully take it from there. We're also talking if getting an early private scan around 7/8weeks. Just think wsiting until 12 is going to be torture🤭 xx

stellarfox · 01/11/2020 20:29

Congratulations everyone new that’s joined!

It’s great timing with Christmas isn’t it. I’ve told a few people this time round, but going to tell grandparents etc on Christmas Day I hope! Just hoping the 12 week scan is before Christmas. Not sure whether private scan places will be open now until the beginning of December!
