@BntTowers thanks ☺️ Not sure if I can request one - think I’m probably just being impatient! I know at my trust they offer FTMs their first s&s at 41 weeks which would be the 17th so she’ll probably just advise me to wait and see I guess?

AutumnBabyWinterMummy · 07/10/2020 09:37

@bluemoon2468 congratulations, sounds like you did amazing! X

AutumnBabyWinterMummy · 07/10/2020 09:42

@blankiesandunicorns I hope everything starts up for you today x

I've written this in the fb group we have so sorry for doubling up!

Went in to triage about movements last night, they've booked for me to get induced today or if no beds at latest tomo. Just waiting for them to confirm a time. All a bit of a shock as I only got home 1am this morn. So trying to use this morn to finish packing and have one last quick clean around! I never got round to blitzing the house top to bottom as I was too busy painting my damn shed inside yesterday 😂 oh how it's come to bite me in the bum! Never mind 🤦‍♀️ x

BettyBotter1 · 07/10/2020 09:47

Ah good luck @AutumnBabyWinterMummy! The house will wait!

Congratulations @bluemoon2468 50 hours 😬 you must be made of strong stuff 💪

Good luck to all those labouring, looking forward to more baby announcements 👶

blankiesandunicorns · 07/10/2020 10:06

How do I join the fb group please?

AutumnBabyWinterMummy · 07/10/2020 10:25

@blankiesandunicorns send a private message to @BntTowers with your email address that you use for fb and she can add you

FourPlasticRings · 07/10/2020 11:17

Congratulations to @bluemoon2468 and good luck @blankiesandunicorns!

I'm on the labour ward. Not fun!

Zaalfruit · 07/10/2020 13:41

Hey everyone - baby is one week old today . Sorry for not keeping up . I’m really struggling with it all . Just really finding it hard . I had a rear end prolapse ended up in emergency couldn’t take the baby with me - it made me soo upset leaving her at 3 days with others . Now they have referred me to the mental health team.

Congratulations to everyone that have their babies . I just caught up on pages and pages on the thread x

And everyone that’s waiting - don’t worry if will be over soon.

LexiM · 07/10/2020 14:27

Oh @zaalfruit so sorry you've had such a difficult time, I really feel for you and hope you are on your way to recovering now. I am pleased they have finally referred you.

Hope all is going well for everyone else in the hospital today... quiet one for me today, nothing is happening, still got the odd cramp.

blankiesandunicorns · 07/10/2020 14:42

Thank you @AutumnBabyWinterMummy @BntTowers for the help joining the fb group.

@Zaalfruit you poor thing. I hope you get what you need from the referral and feel supported and sorry you're going through such a difficult time.

Iv got a UTI now and on antibiotics, water still leaking slowly and having contractions but they're not strong and pretty irregular. Just getting some rest, luckily I have support with my DD so am able to relax as if it doesn't progress today I'm going in in the morning to get it moving

BntTowers · 07/10/2020 14:46

@Zaalfruit so sorry things worked out that way. Are you home now with baby again? How are you feeling?
It's about time they got things sorted with the MH team. I hope you are starting to recover.

Nothing going on here either, I made a lemon and blueberry GD friendly tray bake this morning and just had a slice as a post flu jab treat. The cats are still stressed out, I got a feliway diffuser yesterday but doesn't seem to be having much effect. I suppose it might come in useful to have on when baby arrives.

Treaclepie19 · 07/10/2020 15:15

Im so sorry @Zaalfruit ❤ I hope you're okay.

Sending you a hug @Zaalfruit - you’re a star for getting through all this. With the sleep deprivation etc I’ve had a bout of cold sores so can’t kiss my baby which is so hard - thank goodness for Cadbury’s which is getting me through! x

Zaalfruit · 07/10/2020 15:49

Hey girls - back home now . But the struggle is real . My dh is trying his hardest to support me but there is only so much he can do . Friday I have a call with the mh team .

@BntTowers I’m trying My best to hold it together - I know I’m not 100 percent yesterday I cried for 2 hours straight .

However I’m excited for all the babies and I want to know everyone’s birth stories . 🥰😍 good luck to everyone!

@blankiesandunicorns ouch a uti is just horrible and with baby pressure must feel 100 times worse.

BntTowers · 07/10/2020 16:04

@Zaalfruit you are doing great, it's ok to have a cry.

I feel like I could cry, I've just spent ages hand expressing some colostrum and spilt about half of it down myself!

NWnature · 07/10/2020 17:56

@Zaalfruit thinking of you! You are doing great, don’t ever doubt it. Glad the MH team will be able to provide some support now too.

@BntTowers noooo so annoying. Were you hand expressing? That stuff is like impossible to get into syringe, the only way I can do it is the pump then sucking it up which wastes loads.

Had second acupuncture session which went well, she did a few in legs and feet and then several in my sacrum. She said if baby hasn’t come by next week (I’ll be 40+4 then) she will repeat the “descending” points and attach some electrodes to the needles which provide extra stimulation. Eek!! I did a bit of a walk afterwards then got home and had a nap 🙈

How is everyone feeling today?

otterbaby · 07/10/2020 18:22

@bluemoon2468 fabulous news, so glad to hear that baby has come safely x

@blankiesandunicorns ah very exciting!! Not long to go now!

@AutumnBabyWinterMummy wow that's happening quickly!! You'll be great!

@Zaalfruit aw that sounds so difficult. I'm glad they've finally referred you though.

I'm absolutely miserable - been having contractions since 7pm last night that haven't let up once. I went to triage at 2am because they were so strong and I was 2cm dilated - they gave me a sweep while I was there. Ever since then they've been coming 2-3 mins so I went in again this morning. They said even though it's every 2-3 mins and lastly 60-90 seconds I'm still in latent labour. So sent me home. I haven't had a wink of sleep and the contractions are just radiating throughout my back, bump and thighs. I swear if another midwife tells me to take a bath and paracetamol, I'm going to snap. Lost a bunch more plug that had fresh blood in so I'm hoping that's a good sign...just waiting for things to get more intense so I can try again 😢

NWnature · 07/10/2020 18:43

Ohh @otterbaby you poor thing. Really hope things move on soon for you. Have you got a TENS you can borrow maybe? Won’t be long now love- keep your chin up!!!

blankiesandunicorns · 07/10/2020 19:34

@otterbaby how awful for you, do you want pain relief? Sounds like you need something. I really hope things start moving for you and you get to go in soon.

AutumnBabyWinterMummy · 07/10/2020 19:47

@Zaalfruit sorry to hear you're struggling ❤️ good news about being referred

@otterbaby ah that sounds tough all of it. I hope it comes to something soon

I'm in the induction ward got here about 3pm today, got my pessary at 4.30pm so now just sort of waiting around for something to happen. I'm pretty bored and feeling lonely without dp. Bought some jelly babies for the labour but eaten them already 🙈

booroo · 07/10/2020 20:15

Wow all go today,
sorry to hear you've had a rough time @Zaalfruit and hope everybody else in slow labour gets going soon properly.
I came in to day assessment for reduced movements this afternoon and have ended up being induced all off a sudden so have had a cry said goodbye to the husband and dds and am now hooked up to monitors trying not to freak out about how sudden this all is 🙈

AutumnBabyWinterMummy · 07/10/2020 20:25

@booroo aw sounds like the same happened with me, all very sudden. I also nearly cried quite a few times today. I feel all settled in my room now though and never monitoring isn't til 11 so I'm going to try sleep. Doubt it will happen x

Viletta · 07/10/2020 20:29

@FourPlasticRings good luck, hope it goes well and the baby will be soon in your arms!

@Zaalfruit take care of yourself, and ask for as much help as possible!

I saw my midwife today and she said she's happy for me to chill and wait till 42 weeks. If I go beyond they'll be monitoring me on the ultrasound. So far all is well and I'm holding off the induction. I was surprised midwife didn't push for it and happy for me to wait, 40+4 today and no sign of anything coming.
