Thanks for the well wishes ladies, feeling much better this evening and I’ve ordered Symprove so hopefully that will give me a boost. I’m going to be more mindful of what I’m eating too and increase the greens!
Have any of the Irish contingent gotten their date for their 20 week scan? I haven’t heard anything.
Welcome to our little group @motleymop.

holb54 · 28/09/2020 22:42

@TheFoz in Mayo here, I got my date at my 12 week scan. Sonographer asked how far along I was exactly and wrote it in the folder they give you and said to remember it because they wouldn't be sending out a letter for it! Ring up to be sure, should be late October so they're leaving it late enough

HeatherSue · 28/09/2020 22:44

@motleymop - ah its so exciting. Will have to keep me posted on if baby is boy or girl, unless your not wanting to announce it which is of course totally fine!! I think I will be booking a private scan too just so my partner can come along to another. He couldn't come in to the 12 week but it was announced the hospital we go to are now finally allowing partners in scan rooms as of today, so least he can be a part of the 20 week one 🖤

Babafarmer · 29/09/2020 11:42

Welcome @HeatherSue @motleymop @Jenf12 we are usually much more chatty than this but we we started a new Facebook group on Sunday so some of the chat is now over there. Details further down the thread is you want to join x

Thack · 29/09/2020 12:11

Finally told my employer on Thursday. Had copies of maternity and SPL policies by email today which have been clearly copied from the gov website.

Do I go back and point out all of the omissions and errors (e.g bullet points auto added to every paragraph) or not?

I have a detailed eye but it seems a bit crap to have to proof read a policy that I personally need. On the flip side, I'd be helping employer for whoever is next. Might just chat with my manager tomorrow, I get the vibe that he wasn't consulted either.
[it's a small business, so they wouldn't have had a policy on file. My manager was expecting to write it. There is an offsite HR advisor available for this stuff].

So glad to be getting a break from the place. Fawlty towers meets manufacturing.

Anyone else suffering with tail bone pain and really bad back ache? Working long hours in an office is really taking its toll 😔

LittleBrownBaby · 29/09/2020 14:52

@HeatherSue thanks! My other two (DDs) are 9 and 7 so a BIG age gap. We will find out at a private scan at 17 weeks - in around 3 weeks. How about you? Are you going to find out and what flavours do you have already.

My partner has two boys so we are happy either way with what comes next x

HeatherSue · 29/09/2020 15:37

@Babafarmer thank you 😊 I don't have Facebook unfortunately to join! Probably the only person in the world haha.

loobyloo1234 · 29/09/2020 15:41

@KatieG200394

I do. I said to DP last night it feels like someone is stabbing me in the back some days. Evenings seem much worse though. Its getting to me now but what can we do I guess? Hot water bottle is my friend at the moment Smile

TheFoz · 29/09/2020 17:23

@KatieG200394 I get this too. If you can get up and walk around the office during the day that would really help. Could you have a cushion on your seat? Or like a pp suggested, a hot water bottle is great too.

aureliacecilia · 29/09/2020 19:00

Me too @KatieG200394. I've had it off and on for weeks. I'm putting it down to the beginnings of pelvic girdle pain as I suffered from that in my last pregnancy.

ChilternsHan · 29/09/2020 22:19

@KatieG200394 omg the tailbone pain! I had just put it down to too much sitting, had no clue it was a pregnancy thing! I've got a heat pad on it which feels good. Just read that getting a donut cushion to sit on can help too.

emmafou1807 · 30/09/2020 07:45

Does anyone know what the deal is with the whooping cough vaccination? Do I have to contact someone to book this myself or will it just be sorted for me? I'm 15 weeks now so I know it's coming up soon.

KatieG200394 · 30/09/2020 07:46

@ChilternsHan ooh I might have to buy one of those then, its awful isn't it?

KatieG200394 · 30/09/2020 07:47

@emmafou1807 I was told at my 16 week appointment we needed it and you have to book it with your GP, and they'll give you an appointment for it with one of the nurses

emmafou1807 · 30/09/2020 08:23

Thank you 😊

bangsaklove · 30/09/2020 08:53

Hello ladies, like others I have been following the post for many weeks but I've been too nervous about everything to join in! We are now 17 weeks and I'd love some company.
Is it ok to join the Fb group too?

ChubbyMumFromSkye · 30/09/2020 09:04

@bangsaklove morning, and welcome 👋🏻 of course you can, the link is a little further down the thread :)

LuHen · 30/09/2020 09:15

Hey guys, lost touch with everyone as there is so much (lovely) chatter and work got busy! Hoping to join you on FB Smile

Babafarmer · 30/09/2020 10:23

@emmafou1807 my midwife told me that I am to make an appointment with the GP at 26 weeks for it xx

coastgirls · 30/09/2020 10:33

@ChubbyMumFromSkye thank you! I have requested and been accepted just now. Happy to chat on here too for those who don't have FB :-) I am just so nervous about everything, you'd think I'd of chilled a bit by 17 weeks
Grin but noooo.

Opalwindfury · 30/09/2020 10:36

I came on here yesterday looking for the due in March and couldn’t find it.

coastgirls · 30/09/2020 10:36

Oh and just changed my profile name from @bangsaklove as that's a really old one, from my ivf failure days. So replying as coastgirls! Happy new positive mind and all that...

holb54 · 30/09/2020 10:49

Welcome @coastgirls, congrats on your pregnancy 💜

@emmafou1807 I was told to organise is with my doctor after 16 weeks!

@Babafarmer mine said from 16 weeks, but only that since Monday so haven't booked it yet! Do you mind me asking if 26 weeks is the norm in the UK? Just trying to work out when to book mine exactly 😂

holb54 · 30/09/2020 10:52

@Opalwindfury this thread is for anyone due in March (late February and early April included).💜
