Malox is good for heartburn too. The remotes are working for me so far but I haven’t had it too bad yet 🤞
I rang about my twenty week scan, it’s not until Nov 9th when I’ll be 22+3! Seems so far away, I think I’m going to have to get a private scan, they are so expensive here though, €150. It will be worth it for the peace of mind I think, plus dp will be able to come in.

motleymop · 01/10/2020 13:30

Where did people have their early gender scans? I booked at Window to the Womb (TERRIBLE name!!), but now I'm worrying about it - these types of places seem to be located in less than salubrious parades of shops on the outskirts of town. The chain gets good reviews, but I feel a bit dubious of going to a franchise for that sort of thing.

SnickerdoodleSnek · 01/10/2020 13:43

@motleymop I've booked with Window to the Womb as well as I've only heard good reviews so far!

I can sympathise about the headaches!! They've been horrendous. 😩

loobyloo1234 · 01/10/2020 13:50

@emmafou1807@holb54

Yes to the paracetemol. Its something isnt it? Smile

I've just had my Quad test. Normal to feel a bit anxious im sure. Cant wait for a bit of confirmation that all is ok

motleymop · 01/10/2020 13:57

@SnickerdoodleSnek thanks for replying- that's comforting you're also going there

ChilternsHan · 01/10/2020 14:03

@motleymop we used window to the womb for an early reassurance scan and it was good. It was in a strange shopping precinct though alongside an angling shop and a party balloon shop!

voidboyd · 01/10/2020 14:23

Hey Smile I'm currently 17 weeks and new to all of this.

Has anyone else suffered from pains in sides , lower back and below belly button like achey muscles. I have this almost daily at the moment and it can last all day.

holb54 · 01/10/2020 15:01

@MrsAndMrs that's hilarious I never thought of it that way 😂😂😂

@TheFoz mine is awful late too, I'll be exactly 22 weeks 3 days at my 20 week scan too (only mine is November 11th). Can't see me not booking a private scan sometime this month just as reassurance

KatieG200394 · 01/10/2020 15:04

@motleymop I had mine with a Window to the Womb, I had one early reassurance scan because i was bleeding, they couldn't find out why though and I had my early gender scan with them too ☺ both times they were nothing but really lovely and comforting, I'd recommend them to anyone xx

holb54 · 01/10/2020 15:05

Throwing in a link again for the Facebook page, will be making it hidden from 6 tomorrow so please put in your requests! Will still be accepting requests, will just be slightly more complicated 😂

loobyloo1234 · 01/10/2020 15:51

@voidboyd

My back is definitely hurting more as time goes on. No pains in my belly yet but im guessing its just where our poor bodies are being stretched around? Smile

TheFoz · 01/10/2020 15:53

I had an awful electric shock of pain last night when sitting on the couch. I’m not even sure to call it pain because it was so sudden! Has anyone experienced anything like this? It was just under my ribs.

TheFoz · 01/10/2020 15:54

@holb54 where do you think you might go for your private scan? Galway Baby Scan is €150 for a well-being scan. A gender scan is €80 but I don’t want to know the gender!

holb54 · 01/10/2020 17:32

@TheFoz going to go with Innervision in Castlebar! Had two scans with them already and they've both been a really nice experience, they took their time and showed us everything, partner was allowed in etc. It's 100E but they do give you a voucher for a tenner off at the next one! Only had one in Galway and that was with Fertility Imaging in Oranmore, that was really nice too but double checked there and they only go up to 14 weeks, think they are more for fertility!

MrsAndMrs · 01/10/2020 17:53

@TheFoz yes!! I had this a couple weeks ago.....gave me such a shock! I was emotional and stressed out that day so I wondered if it was something to do with that. I've been perfectly fine since.

TheFoz · 01/10/2020 18:18

@holb54 I didn’t know there was a place in Castlebar, that would be much better as I’m in Donegal. I could go to Derry but their case numbers are way too high, I don’t want to go near it!

@MrsAndMrs so glad you felt it too! Sorry you were stressed though! I definitely wasn’t stressed, was sitting on the recliner and it happened so fast. I felt some bubbles today around my naval. It’s such a reassurance to have some movement.

MrsAndMrs · 01/10/2020 18:23

@TheFoz I think I'd wound myself up a lot that day and it felt like a wee bolt of lighting to my tummy.

Awww lovely! I've been feeling little bubbles too, I've never willed a child to kick me so much in my life! 😂

Gender scan tomorrow though! See if these nubologists are right!!

holb54 · 01/10/2020 18:52

@TheFoz I'm only a half hour drive away from it so it's been really handy! Still a bit of a drive for you but be good bit shorter then Galway anyway!

@MrsAndMrs can't wait to hear tomorrow just out of curiosity to see how accurate it was!

motleymop · 01/10/2020 18:56

Yes @TheFoz - I had that at work yesterday but it was lower down. Lightning and then gone again.

MrsJ89 · 01/10/2020 21:52

@MrsJ89 congratulations! Wonderful to see more girls 💗💗

MrsJ89 · 01/10/2020 22:10

Thank you @holb54 😁

TheFoz · 01/10/2020 22:29

Booking the scan tomorrow @holb54! Thanks for letting me know about it 👍 Really excited about it, more so for dp. It’ll be fantastic for him to get see bubs.

Good luck tomorrow @MrsAndMrs!

Congrats @MrsJ89 that’s brilliant. I suspect we are Team Pink too but dp reckons Blue. One of us will be right!

I ate fish fingers today and I’m lashing the rennies into me like there’s no tomorrow, I had forgotten what awful heartburn they give me 🥴

holb54 · 01/10/2020 22:38

@TheFoz let me know how you get on when you do go! It's great you can get them, they get to see baby and we get the reassurance 😂

MrsAndMrs · 01/10/2020 22:41

@MrsJ89 congratulations!!! 💗💗
