Hi all, new to mumsnet - im 17 weeks today with my first baby - due 22 March. Would love to join the Facebook group. The link on the chain wasn't working for me. X

holb54 · 12/10/2020 20:18

@Akirby100 sorry the previous link only worked before we'd made the group hidden! Just sent you a message 😊

Sinead543 · 12/10/2020 21:13

@holb54 could I join the Facebook group please?

PhotoMum4 · 12/10/2020 21:16

Have sent a friend request to join Facebook group.

We found out this weekend we are having a girl, very happy. Will now have one of each.

holb54 · 12/10/2020 21:24

@Sinead543 just sent you a message 💜

@PhotoMum4 congratulations 💕

Dreamcatcher007 · 13/10/2020 08:43

@loobyloo1234 Same here - I was hoping to feel the baby move earlier as this is no.2, but I’m nearly 20 weeks and only now occasionally have started feeling movement in certain positions (my placenta in the right, so not anterior). Can’t wait for the 20-week scan next week!!

Dreamcatcher007 · 13/10/2020 08:44

@PhotoMum4 Congratulations, how exciting!!

loobyloo1234 · 13/10/2020 11:07

@Dreamcatcher007

I felt a little fluttering this morning whilst driving to work but honestly, who knows if that was baby related or food related Grin My 20 week scan is closer to when I am 21 weeks so I still have 2 weeks to wait. Grrr. So more time to stress about a lack of movement

Babafarmer · 13/10/2020 13:08

Just been catching up not been on for a little while. Welcome @Sinead543 the sharp pains you were describing sound like round ligament. I'm feeling a lot of movement moment 18+6. But it feels like bubbles and little flicks.

@Usplusone amazing news I am sooo pleased for you and congratulations on your 💙

Welcome @LMG456 @Blessing20 @BigHairyLeggedSpider @Akirby100

@PhotoMum4 congratulations on the 💖

Is any one feeling there tummy tighten. I went a fell walk on Sunday then afterward felt as if something was squeezing inside my tummy. It isn't painful. I read in good old dr google that Braxton Hicks can start from 16 weeks it can be brought on after exercise or sex and we DTD that morning too. Apparently it's the uterus preparing and strengthening for labour.

Sinead543 · 13/10/2020 19:51

@Babafarmer honestly have no clue! I was getting round ligament pains a few weeks ago in my lower stomach which either lingered or hurt when I moved but now this is like a sharp dig sort of pain at the top either left or right side randomly during the day, when I spoke to a women at my work she said it may be the baby moving, I had my 20 week scan today and everything is looking great and he’s very active so that’s eased my nerves for a little whileGrin

LMG456 · 14/10/2020 10:15

Thank you for your message. Feeling better now I know I'm not the only one! 20 week scan can't come quick enough.

emmafou1807 · 14/10/2020 10:21

Find out the sex today 🤞🏼 and I am so freaking excited!!! We are keeping it a secret until Christmas and it's going to be SO hard. And I can't even get excited with people now (other than hubby) because then it would be mean to be like yeah but I'm not telling you but I feel so giddy!!!

loobyloo1234 · 14/10/2020 11:18

Ohh how exciting @emmafou1807 - love that you are keeping it a secret. We've been under pressure from family MIL to find out the sex but I think we are going to go with a surprise instead. Although it's so hard in some ways as it would be easier just to find out Smile

Just wondering if anyone's suffering with hives at all? I've got an annoying rash on my leg which ive since discovered can be a pregnancy side effect. Just when I start feeling ok, something else creeps up. Grrrr

emmafou1807 · 14/10/2020 14:27

I think we'll get pressure coming our way when they all realise we know but it's nice to have it just the two of us for a while. It was super exciting to find out even just being told 😊

mkk84 · 14/10/2020 18:12
**@Thack* @loobyloo1234* - I’m gutted that mothercare closed down, that’s the first place you want to go as they had EVERYTHING! There’s not many places near me where I can go and look at pram/cots in person. There’s a shop called ‘bush babes’ in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire that I want to go and look around, it’s about an hour from me but it looks like a lovely shop
Mothercare have opened inside Boots stores now. They're selling things on the Boots website too

Thack · 14/10/2020 18:27

@Babafarmer I've noticed a little camping after we've DTD, please don't tell my DH that he's helping me get stronger Wink

Had my 16wk appointment today. Mine included doppler ultrasound so I heard baby's heartbeat for the first time. Loved it! Started giggling which moved my belly, but MW soon got it back. Such a nice experience, shame hubby is missing out. So relieved that it's all ok.

Jebbs · 17/10/2020 22:41

@holb54 any chance of an invitation to the group too? Everything's been a bit hectic and I'd completely lost track of the thread. Thanks in advance.

RaMaRuBa · 18/10/2020 09:24

@holb54 could I please join the Facebook group, too? X

holb54 · 18/10/2020 19:32

@Jebbs @RaMaRuBa messages sent x

slv2013 · 18/10/2020 19:58

I’m very late to the party - 18 weeks now and full of anxiety, it’s lessened as it’s gone on but now worrying about 20 week scan!
FTM - and can’t wait to feel movements, that will hopefully help reassure me.
Would love the fb link if it’s still open for newbies

motleymop · 19/10/2020 16:34

Hi @slv2013 Smile I'm sure @holb54 will be along soon with the Facebook link, if she hasn't already.

I'm also a FTM. I'm 17+3 and every day seems like an eternity till the 20 week scan!! I haven't felt any flutters either.

Thack · 20/10/2020 18:33

@slv2013 same, 17and a half, FTM and no noticeable movement yet. At least it's scan time soon.

It's been one of those tired days where I had a decaf coffee and hoped for the placebo affect 🤣

Elmgr · 27/10/2020 15:49

Hello! @holb54 Please could I join the Facebook group too? I’m 20+2 and a FTM Smile

holb54 · 27/10/2020 19:35

@Elmgr pm sent! 💜

Simz01 · 27/10/2020 23:10
