Thank you x

holb54 · 27/09/2020 19:35

@aureliacecilia I plan on changing it to hidden in a few days time, just want to give it a few days as visible to give everyone a chance to join! Did have it as hidden (and I could be really wrong about this) but I think I'd have had to message people in the group to add me on Facebook to add them to the group to then delete them but wasn't sure people be happy adding someone they didn't know.. will be changing it to hidden though in 3/4 days 💜

ElsiesJourney · 27/09/2020 19:49

Thanks for the new thread @ChubbyMumFromSkye 😊

NoGinNotComingIn · 27/09/2020 20:28

I commented on the end of the other thread, you’ve called it a parenting group, might be an idea to change it to something random as quite a few people are having first babies. I’m not sure what else you’d be joining a parenting group for unless you either were already one or about to become one! I might join just before you hide it, I’m staying in the closet with the pregnancy so don’t want to be seen to be joining a new parenting group.

ChubbyMumFromSkye · 27/09/2020 20:37

@NoGinNotComingIn I think @holb54 has changed it to 'General' is it still showing as Parenting?

NoGinNotComingIn · 27/09/2020 20:56

It’s changed 👍, hope you don’t think I was being a pain 😬, was just thinking of other people who might want to lay low on social media about it! Well I am too, but I already have kids so it isn’t as obvious for me.

ChubbyMumFromSkye · 27/09/2020 21:09

@NoGinNotComingIn not at all, I would never have even noticed and I know we have ladies who aren't sharing their news publicly yet so it was a good spot!

I am here! Just been super busy painting this weekend.....bloody knackered and insomnia seems to be kicking in this weekend! 🥱

Has the Facebook group been started yet?

Phie04 · 27/09/2020 21:22

@holb54 I've joined the group... I think. Do you need to accept it?

holb54 · 27/09/2020 21:30

Aurora124 · 27/09/2020 22:47

Just tagging myself here , don't mind me Grin

Allibun · 27/09/2020 23:01

Hi Everyone, I'm a bit late to the party but have been reading all the threads. I am due on 19th March 21. I had the NIPT test (all ok) and the NHS dating scan.

This is our first baby and we are very excited. Good luck to everyone x

holb54 · 27/09/2020 23:09

For anyone intrested in the Facebook group, don't forget to answer mumsnet when you request to join! It's just a little way of trying to make sure that the users are coming from this thread, not exactly Fort Knox but 😂

holb54 · 27/09/2020 23:10

@Allibun welcome to the group ❤

DSP21 · 27/09/2020 23:34

Just saying hello!

HeatherSue · 28/09/2020 00:35

I'm due the 26th March with baby number 3 😃

Allibun · 28/09/2020 00:44

@holb54 thank you x

TheFoz · 28/09/2020 01:09

It doesn’t rain but it pours. I now have food poisoning!!! Seriously, if anyone knows of a good tonic to get me back on track after all the infections in the last few weeks, bump and I would be very grateful!

GreysLove · 28/09/2020 08:27

Placemarking this thread- thanks for setting it up @ChubbyMumFromSkye, have sent my request for the facebook group :)

I keep dreaming about exes too, super vivid!

We're in the gender surprise group too, although chatting to friends on Friday night they said it was super obvious at the 20w scan what it is. Do you need to explicitly tell the sonographer that you don't want to know so they can skip over it or you can look away? Still got 6 weeks until then

Babafarmer · 28/09/2020 08:54

@GreysLove at my gender scan we opted to have the gender in an envelope. Do they turned the screen away and even they'd seen they turned the screen on and the checked then rest of baby. Hopefully they'll do something similar for you at 20 weeks x

plwcm · 28/09/2020 08:59

@GreysLove I've not had my 20 week scan yet (first baby) but at our private scan at window to the womb we asked them to write the sex down so we could find out later on together and in a more comfortable place, and they asked us to close our eyes anytime they were checking anything that could show you what sex the baby is, so I'm sure they'd do the same at the NHS scan hopefully! But I would suggest telling them before you start that you don't want to know the sex. Wish I had the patience to let it be a surprise!

chloxhunt · 28/09/2020 09:04

@plwcm I'm going to window to the womb for my 16 week scan!

chloxhunt · 28/09/2020 09:05

@GreysLove omg! I keep dreaming about my ex best friends messaging me wanting to make up lmao
