Hi all, can I join please? I'm due on the 10th of June Smile

toptreeroots1 · 04/10/2020 20:04

Ah thank you
I hope you are ok.
Needing to wee a lot without other URI symptoms can be a symptom of early pregnancy I think :)
.I'm recently off antibiotics for a uti

Lauren28321 · 04/10/2020 20:16

It’s nice to know we are not alone haha!

Taking every day as it goes and hoping the 12 week mark comes along quickly!

Lauren28321 · 04/10/2020 20:17

I’m due the same day!! Congratulations 🎉

toptreeroots1 · 04/10/2020 20:20

Definitely not alone :)

piggie88 · 04/10/2020 21:01

@Kjadem I think I will have to tell them, we only have two positive patients at the moment so hopefully I can stay where I am and just avoid those rooms.
I'm 5+4 so we will see how this week goes with the symptoms, I have been feeling a bit sick on and off today but not sure if I was just hungry!

kerry0000 · 04/10/2020 21:18

Hiya I've only just found out. Im due on the 18th June. My tummy feels horrible its like I got a hang over tummy after Being out drinking. Its there all day. Hope I get used to it.

Kjadem · 04/10/2020 21:20

Fingers crossed @piggie88 ! I have had a really rough day today with nausea/headaches .. hoping the symptoms are a good sign. I work on NICU so I am really anxious as the more you know the worse you are - I’ve not relaxed once so far! I’m 5+5 :) Don’t think I will relax until the 12 week scan at least.

MrsK21 · 04/10/2020 21:33

@curiouscat1987 I plan on taking a day of annual leave for appointments/scan before telling work. I just don't feel comfortable telling them just yet.

@piggie88 symptoms definitely come and go at this stage I think.
I had nothing last couple of days and today am struggling with severe nausea and lots of throwing up which came out of nowhere!

squaresandsquares · 04/10/2020 22:35

I feel so bloated right now, can't believe this early I feel this bloated and need maternity leggings

curiouscat1987 · 04/10/2020 23:30

@toptreeroots1

I'm feeling really worried tonight 4 plus 2 and my only symptom which was crampy twinges low down has gone today. I've no bleeding so hoping the twinges was just everything settling into the lining and everything will be ok.

It's early days but this feels so different to my first pregnancy

Im about the same time as you and cramping is the only symptom in having. I thought itd eased off today but then was quite bad this evening!
emwantsbiscuits · 05/10/2020 05:53

Hello! I’m due on 4 June. My main symptoms are tiredness, bloating, dizziness, mild cramping and I had a bit of leg cramping as well! Not much nausea so far just a “stuffy car” feeling.

toptreeroots1 · 05/10/2020 06:14

I've woken up today and still have zero symptoms argh

TheDaydreamBelievers · 05/10/2020 07:44

@toptreeroots1 I'm 6 weeks today and they come and go. Right now the only symptom I have is comedy swollen boobs (no pain but biiiig). I have had many days in the 3 weeks I've known so far with zero symptoms

Lauren28321 · 05/10/2020 08:42

Woke up this morning and did another PT ( 4 days since my last) and got a very faint positive. Am now extremely anxious and have been upset most of the morning! I would have thought it would have been darker seeming I took this one first thing and am further along. Convinced myself that things are taking a turn.

Happy2be · 05/10/2020 09:52

@piggie88 i was hoping to hold off but with everythibg going on think will need to tell sooner. Last time though one of the band 6s nearly screwed up and told another staff member i was pregnant. So really dont want that to happen again 🙈 will see how it goes. Hopefully they should be fine just keeping you away from covid positive patients.

piggie88 · 05/10/2020 11:12

@Happy2be yeah I think that would happen at my work too, once one person knows everyone will, but then everyone would ask me why I'm avoiding the positives so I'd have to tell them anyway. I'm in tomorrow night with a couple of people I get on well with so going to have a chat with them.

@toptreeroots1 I'm the same, the few symptoms I have had keep disappearing and then when I do have symptoms I think am I just imagining or overthinking it.

toptreeroots1 · 05/10/2020 12:31

Is anyone else pregnant after pre eclampsia last time ?
I was 21 when pregnant and was 9 stone before falling pregnant and I developed it in week 34 off my pregnancy. Dd was born at 35 weeks because off it.

This time I am 26 with a bmi off 27 . I'm 10 stone 6 pounds. Down from 13 stone since March.
Slightly nervous off it happening again.
I also have sleep apnea but I was not on CPAP during my first pregnancy . I am this time

SarahTTC2020 · 05/10/2020 14:01

I had my Day 21 bloods back today and progesterone was at 62. She told me it showed I was ovulating and so I told her I'd had positive Pg tests. She's booked me in for midwife booking appt on 19/10 when I'll be just over 6 weeks. Seems strange that you don't see a GP but I guess that's what happens now

SF89 · 05/10/2020 14:10

Hey everyone. I have just had my line manager on the phone saying that she thinks I should work from home for the time being because pregnant people are classed as clinically vulnerable. and has signposted me to

maternityaction.org.uk/covidmaternityfaqs/health-and-safety-at-work/

I am a bit worried though because we all take it in turns to be in the office 2 days a week and work from home the other 3 so the team will start to notice that I am not doing my days! Im still not ready to tell them yet as I havent told my family.

I really don't know what excuse I would use? is anyone else in the same position?

I work in an environment where I could come into contact with Covid-positive people and the cases coming through in my workplace have been doubling each week since mid-september. My pregancy still doesn't feel real to me (only 5 weeks 6days) so I'm finding it difficult to get my head around that I might need to take extra precautions.

I really don't know what I should do

Why dont you just tell your colleagues that you're having to shield someone in your family? Technically not a lie either :)
SF89 · 05/10/2020 14:33

@curiouscat1987 that might not be a bad idea only some of my colleagues are carers for Vulnerable parents etc and lots of questions would be asked about whay they arent getting the same consideration I would say!

It's a mine field!

Rainbowbaby3 · 05/10/2020 14:40

Hi

I am 5 weeks 6 days pregnant with baby no 3. I have had 4 miscarriages in the past since January 2019. I had a scan at the EPU today due to my history. According to my dates there was a yolk and sac and everything is looking good so they discharged me. On the notes it says i have hydrosalpinx within the left area of uterus. The EPU nurse didnt seem concerned and told me to self refer to the midwife. I just had a look on google and hydrosalpinx affects the embryo implanting therefore increases risk of miscarriage. So im now waiting to potentially miscarriage... Anyone any experience of this.

@SF89 I am in the exact same position. I usually do 1-2 days in the office due to covid now on a rota basis, but am going to tell my manager on Friday that I am pregnant so they take me off the rota and I can work from home. I am also worried about people questioning why I am not in the office, but I was thinking of just briefly saying oh I don’t know why my manager hasn’t put me on.. weird lol must be enough staff. Hoping to not go into too much detail. One of my close colleagues already knows as she guessed the day after I found out!! But I do trust she won’t tell anyone. I didn’t expect it to be so difficult to keep a secret Smile
SF89 · 05/10/2020 15:31

@Holly0987 yeah I was thinking I might have to tell my really close work friends and just try to be vague with the others.

Its seriously difficult isn't it! have you told your family yet?
