I’m very early with this! I found out yesterday I’m pregnant, due 1st June.

Anyone else with me yet? Smile

@SF89 I’ve only told my parents and best friend. What about you??

Jazper · 05/10/2020 17:08

Hello all and congratulations!! Hoping you'll welcome me in here. I'm very gingerly joining after a loss in February of this year and getting my long awaited bfp after 7 cycles of ttc. I know 7 months isn't long in the grand scheme of things but it felt like forever at the time. Praying to see a nice healthy heart beat at my early scan booked at the end of October. I've come over from the most amazingly supportive ttc after mc group and would love to join you all on this wonderful nerve wracking journey. Due around June 15th. Xx

SF89 · 05/10/2020 17:13

@Holly0987 I have only told my best friend! no one else! i was properly shaking telling her as well as it's my first and still don't have my head around it.

@Jazper i'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I will cross everything for you, how many weeks are you having your early scan at? I have one booked for around 8 weeks but I don't know if its worth it or if I will even be able to see anything!

MimiDaisy11 · 05/10/2020 17:18

Hello all,
It's my first time! I'm due on the 11th June. I think that seems like a good month to be born on - I never liked my birthday being near Christmas as a child lol. I've got the appointments assigned. The first appointment is at the start of November then scan at the start of December. I guess it'll start to feel real at the first scan.

I'm not the most optimistic person so I don't want to allow myself to get too excited in case something goes wrong.

Holly0987 · 05/10/2020 17:19

@SF89 I can’t either. I was in bits telling my parents and I still can’t quite believe it. I’m thinking of booking an early private scan too but i’m so conflicted.... I still haven’t got my letter from midwife as I had to self refer on the website but I guess it hasn’t even been a week since I referred 😂 i’m too impatient to wait all these weeks!!!

charisann93 · 05/10/2020 17:24

@EwwDavid congratulations! I have a due date of 6th June, so very early days DaffodilSmile

Due date twins 😁
6th June for me too !

EwwDavid · 05/10/2020 17:45

Afternoon all. Welcome and congratulations newbies!

Is anyone feeling the strain hormonally yet? I’m really struggling to cope with work stress, whereas normally I cope quite well. I’m almost in tears at any slight stress and feel anxious constantly. It’s awful, I’m never normally like this. I didn’t want to tell my boss until 12 weeks but if I continue to struggle I might need to tell her in case she thinks I’m losing the plot!

11 June here to

No symptoms for 48 hours now
Feeling very worried.
I had twinges the first two days after bfp

Holly0987 · 05/10/2020 17:58

@EwwDavid 100% with you. Super stressed out and can’t focus on work at all. I just want to nap all the time and not deal with any work.
Fingers crossed 12 weeks comes quickly as I am so so anxious all the time. I hope you start to feel better x

MrsK21 · 05/10/2020 21:35

@EwwDavid I feel the same - didn't do much at all for work today, struggling to concentrate and feeling emotional

@Holly0987 totally with you on the anxiety too! After a loss in May as well, I'm extra anxious with this one - roll on 12 weeks! X

vixarooni · 05/10/2020 21:57

Hi everyone!!

I tested yesterday and got a faint line on an old test, did one this morning on a clear blue and got a nice juicy one. Feeling it in the boobs, cramping and crying at stupid stuff.
2nd pregnancy, DD will be 4.5 when sinni the robot is born (her nickname for the baby!)

Feeling really anxious second time round. Trying to second guess, not believing it and thinking something will go wrong. Trying to stay relaxed but finding it hard. Hopefully I can get some comfort from others in the same boat!

MsJ9 · 05/10/2020 22:06

Newbie here! I tested positive a few days ago, due 11th June. First pregnancy so feeling paranoid about every feeling/twinge!

Jazper · 05/10/2020 22:11

Thank you @SF89 At my early scan I will be 8 weeks. I'll be able to make out the general shape of a baby and see that it's got a flickering heartbeat so that's enough for me and my peace of mind 🙏🏼😊 I get what you are saying though. I had a 6 week scan on my son and he was just a blob. A beautiful blob but a blob all the same. And I was able to see his heart beat then too which was reassuring.

toptreeroots1 · 06/10/2020 07:23

Congrats to everyone.
I'm still feeling no symptoms at 4 plus 4 days now.
Argh I shouldn't be wishing them on my self..we can't really justify the cost off a early scan but I wish I could just go for one at 8 weeks 😬😬
I was sick as a dog with my first

Madi6 · 06/10/2020 07:39

Morning everyone, is anyone else having trouble sleeping? I am having really vivid dreams and waking up so many times during the night too! I’m exhausted already! X

toptreeroots1 · 06/10/2020 07:41

Thankfully I'm not.
Last time my sleep got bad from 26 weeks ish.
I developed restless legs which was maddening

MsJ9 · 06/10/2020 08:01

Yes! I'm mostly over thinking and worrying that something will go wrong. I'm very overweight as it is so I'm very conscious about the extra strain on my body and all of the potential issues. Being super healthy now though to look after the little seed!

Finallybfp · 06/10/2020 09:29

Morning everyone , I haven’t been on the chat for a couple of days , I’m feeling the same As people above have said . just feeling anxious and worried all the time thinking something is going to go wrong. My partner keeps telling me I need to relax as it’s not healthy for the baby he doesn’t seem to understand that keeping this pregnancy healthy and the count down to hearing babies heartbeat is on my mind constantly . is anyone else feeling like this ? I’m 5 weeks 5 days and getting slight sickness in the mornings the past 3 days . I bought some ginger biscuits as ive read eating one of these before getting up in the morning is suppose to help sickness. Not sure whether to ring on Thursday when I’m 6 weeks exactly to refer myself to midwife or wait a couple days after 6 weeks . I rang at 4 weeks 4 days when I first got a BFP and was told to wait and ring at 6 weeks .

MummyOfZog · 06/10/2020 09:51

@Madi6 - I've been having bad sleep too. I struggle to fall into a deep sleep and pretty much roll around and wake up all night. I've kind of been struggling with my sleep since lockdown though and WFH all the time, so I'm unsure if its pregnancy related now or not! It's def worse now though!

@toptreeroots1 I'm 4+5 and have zero symptoms. I had some twingey cramps now and again but not even certain they're real and they've eased off now anyway. Boobs sometimes feel bruised a bit but it could be due to my constant poking them to see if they hurt yet Grin I know I felt sicky and knackered with my 1st (DS is 4) by 6 weeks, but I just remember having all consuming tiredness from BFP that time.... and whilst I'm a bit knackered this time, I wouldn't say I feel as tired as my first at all! With DS I was having to nap in the car during my lunchbreak (thought the office might be suspect if I suddenly napped at my desk!) and would be asleep from the moment I walked in the door in the evening! Perhaps WFH is making that easier this time around? I'm a bit nervous about the lack of symptoms...I won't lie!

Swimgirl83 · 06/10/2020 09:51

Congratulations to everyone on here! Exciting times.

I'd like to join please Smile found out yesterday we're expecting our second! According to all the calculators I'm 4w 3d (found out quite early) and due June 13th. Grin

MummyOfZog · 06/10/2020 09:52

Oh.. I also booked my early scan yesterday. I'll be going at 7+2 and DH can come along too (it's still unlikely he'll be able to attend the 12 week NHS dating scan due to the hosptial's covid policy).

Newmother321 · 06/10/2020 10:00

Hi all,
I'm new to the party. I'm due on 14th June.
Was only really convinced yesterday when AF didn't show, despite having 5 positive tests ha! This will be my first so a bit scarey and exciting at the same time.

I'm been feeling exhausted and have terrible skin at the minute, very greasy but dry at the same time, anyone else?

I've sent my registration form off to the midwife this morning, shits getting real, eeek.

Coffee4me · 06/10/2020 14:18

Welcome and congrats all the new joiners! I've also booked an early scan (I'll be just under 7 weeks then, it's at the hospital because I'm still under their care for recurrent mc) and midwife booking appointment, which is over the phone. I've also looked to book nipt test around 11 weeks.

And as many of you, absolutely anxious. I have twinges in my lower stomach in the evenings, so worrying they turn into cramps 😳

CarlaKristina · 06/10/2020 15:02

Congratulations everyone! 🤗

I’m sick with worry being newly pregnant after 2 miscarriages, and will need this community through the rough early days especially. I’ve not had a period since my last MC but I must be around 5 weeks, due early June. Constantly bouncing between trying not to get my hopes up and trying to relax into it. I’m driving myself mad!
