I’m very early with this! I found out yesterday I’m pregnant, due 1st June.

Anyone else with me yet? Smile

Congrats everyone! I am 5 weeks today with our first baby. According to the online tracker I’m due 5 June. I also found out really early, I got my first BFP over a week ago and half wish I hadn’t found out so soon because the waiting is driving me mad! Feels like there’s sooo long to go! Only symptoms I have so far are sore swollen boobs and bloating / hard tummy. Happy I found this thread to share symptoms with everyone, it really helps reading other people’s stories! Smile

I've booked an early scan for three weeks time when I'll be 8 weeks but feeling a bit unsure about it. Because I had a miscarriage in March I thought it would reassure me but then I'll probably start worrying again the next day. Has anyone else had an early scan and it helped with the anxiety?
Not really having any symptoms at the moment either so that isn't helping.
Hope you're all feeling well x

ZAVMLB · 30/09/2020 22:07

@piggie88 Sorry to hear about your miscarriage. I had a miscarriage in May this year. It was the first time I'd ever been pregnant and I now know how common it is. Still it was a shitty time but actually really positive for me and my partner to realise how much we wanted this. But yeah this time around I cant help but feel anxious. I am planning an early scan too but tbh I think I'll be feeling slightly anxious until 12 weeks. And I wouldn't worry about the lack of symptoms. I think it can all get a bit overwhelming and forums like these are great but also add to any stress or worry. Hope you manage to have a nice relaxing evening x

Finallybfp · 30/09/2020 22:30

I’m 5 weeks tomorrow and getting a very swelled bloated belly mostly on a night time , I also feel like I’m taken deep breathes every now and then , I work in a Nursery so I’m on the go all day and finding I’m getting much more tired by the end of my shift. I didn’t think I would have many symptoms so early on . Is 7/8 weeks when you can get a early scan ? I was thinking about maybe getting one as I don’t feel like I can wait till 12 weeks to see if everything is ok .X

MrsK21 · 30/09/2020 23:47

Hi, I'd like to join please? Got my bfp a couple of days ago. I was tracking ovulation and going by that, I'm due on 8 June.

Sorry to hear of your losses
@piggie88 @123feraverto . I also suffered a loss in May this year with my first pregnancy so I'm really cautious about this one at the moment. Hoping nerves settle down soon enough xxx

MrsK21 · 30/09/2020 23:49

@ZAVMLB sorry to hear of your story too - exactly the same as mine. Hope these are our sticky beans!
I'm also thinking of an early scan. What sort of timing are you thinking of? I'm hoping to get one booked after 6 weeks or so as been told were more likely to see a heartbeat after 6 weeks xxx

SarahTTC2020 · 01/10/2020 06:47

I think I would only get an early scan if my DH can't come to the 12 week one with me. The. I'd get one for 10 wks because after that the chance is miscarriage drops to 2%

I stupidly did an IC this morning (16dpo) and the line isn't as dark as I expected. My wee looked lighter than normal fmu so hoping it's just that. My 14dpo frer was dark and had a cb digital say 1-2 wks a couple days ago

Anyone else still testing just to see if it's still true?

MummyOfZog · 01/10/2020 07:21

I'll be getting an early scan too. I did the same when I was pregnant with DS. I'm going to book it for about 6.5-7 weeks pregnant as there is a strong likelihood that the heartbeat will be able to be seen then and I remember feeling less anxious once I'd seen a heartbeat last time. I know it's just a snapshot in time and things could still go wrong afterwards, but statistically once a heartbeat is detected on a scan the mc rate lowers somewhat (not eliminated though, obviously!). I'm a worrier and I find I need that reassurance to even begin to enjoy being pregnant!

TheDaydreamBelievers · 01/10/2020 07:41

@SarahTTC2020 I'm still testing every morning on cheap strips and sticking them in a wee notebook!

My nhs scan is at 10 weeks so I will tell family after that. Reassuring to hear that if all is okay at that scan then 98% will be okay @Sarahttc2020! Only my 2 best friends know at the moment.

Tigger1987 · 01/10/2020 08:38

Hi everyone! I got my BFP last Tuesday and have a EDD of 1st/2nd June. This will be my second (my DS has just turned 3.5). I did a clearblue digital this morning and got 3+ which was nice to see as I think I am about 5 weeks. I have started to suffer with gas pain which I got a lot when pregnant with my son. Is anyone else suffering? I have IBS and forgot how much it hurt last time!!

cd24x · 01/10/2020 09:43

@piggie88 sorry to hear about your loss. We have an early scan booked for exactly 9 weeks. My partner was very against booking a private one and all for waiting for 12 week NHS scan as partners are allowed in our trust. When I explained my anxiety to him, he agreed we should book one for my peace of mind. We also plan to tell my grandparents and OHs parents afterwards so long as everything is ok.

@Finallybfp I think you can get an early scan as early as 5 weeks in some places. But I think they tend to have to be internal scans to be able to see anything.

@SarahTTC2020 I was still testing up until yesterday (26DPO) when I got my 3+ on CB digital. My IC tests were always a lot lighter than FRER. I didn't get a strong line on an IC until 21DPO despite them apparently being only slightly less sensitive than FRER.

Welcome @Tigger1987. I've been suffering a lot more with wind at the moment, much to my OHs horror! Sorry you're suffering with IBS pain.

SarahTTC2020 · 01/10/2020 10:19

Thank you @cd24x that makes me feel a lot better about my light IC today!
I think when you don't have any symptoms it doesn't feel real.
I might be more burpy than usual and the occasional boob twinges but that's it. Only 4+1 though

piggie88 · 01/10/2020 10:38

Sorry to hear about all of your losses, it's nice to be able to talk to others in the same situation. I just felt like something was wrong last time as I had no symptoms, unlike with my two pregnancies before that. I was 11 weeks when I had the miscarriage but the baby had stopped growing at 6 weeks so I feel like having a scan at 8 weeks this time and seeing the heartbeat will definitely help.

I've done three tests so far, two Sainsburys ones on Monday and a Clearblue on Tuesday, trying to resist doing another one, especially after reading last night that the Sainsburys ones aren't very reliable!

Flower3411 · 01/10/2020 11:13

Is anyone else a nervous wreck? Any little thing makes me so nervous!!

Buttercup20 · 01/10/2020 11:27

I'm due around 13th June so still very early 😊

Holly0987 · 01/10/2020 11:32

@Flower3411 me!!! I can’t concentrate at work. I keep googling everything and I just keep wanting to take tests to make sure it’s still there 😩 I am so so worried. I keep waking up overnight and my anxiety it sky high. I hope you are okay xxx

MrsBtobe2020 · 01/10/2020 11:42

Hi everyone! Congrats! I had a bfp on Tuesday at 15dpo, estimated due date 10th June. First baby, not planning on telling anyone for as long as possible until I know it's sticking! Not had any symptoms other than a bit of bloating and trapped wind (completely normal for me though). 🤞 we all have healthy pregnancies! I've tested with the femometer hcg sticks everyday and on Tuesday I bought an Frer and also did a morrisons one. Can't help myself!

Finallybfp · 01/10/2020 11:42

I might wait until I’ve spoke to the midwife , I’ve been told to wait and ring back when I’m 6 weeks plus , then see what’s what before booking a early scan. I don’t feel like I could wait till 12 weeks though.
@Flower3411 - yes I feel nervous something is going to go wrong all the time . I feel like a early scan might help with my anxiety.

Flower3411 · 01/10/2020 11:55

@Holly0987 me too! I keep feeling my boobs just to make sure they still hurt hahahah. I hope you're okay too, it's super nerve wracking but we'll all in this together! x

@Finallybfp yeah, I think that would be a good idea, what's the earliest you would go for a scan? x

Finallybfp · 01/10/2020 11:58

I think I would maybe wait until 8/9 weeks maybe to book a early scan , but I’ll wait and see when I get an appointment with the midwife . I haven’t had sore boobs , I’ve just had a really bloated belly , and been feeling more tired then usual.

Rosie0812 · 01/10/2020 12:58

Hey all, I found out this morning I'm pregnant, I've calculated it and works out the baby is due 2nd June. This is my first pregnancy so this is all very new to me. Congratulations everyone ❤️

Finallybfp · 01/10/2020 17:56

Congratulations @Rosie0812, are you having any symptoms ?

Justbee84 · 01/10/2020 18:07

Congratulations all!
We found out on Sunday I'm pregnant naturally for the first time ever after 4 failed IVF cycles!
Still in total shock. I think I'm 4 weeks 5 day and due date would be 5th June 😊

Rosie0812 · 01/10/2020 18:11

@Finallybfp Thank you so much, I only have tender and swollen breasts very veiny too. The slight twinge belly cramps and the odd headache. But nothing I can't handle, as of yet haha. ❤️

Justbee84 · 01/10/2020 18:18

@Rosie0812 Congratulations to you ❤
I'm expecting for the first time too and trying to keep the anxiety to a minimum, but it's easier said than done.
Hope you're feeling OK.
