I’m very early with this! I found out yesterday I’m pregnant, due 1st June.

Anyone else with me yet? Smile

@scrambledeggy I'm really anxious. I had a miscarriage on 18th September and am now pregnant again - one month on. So I'm hoping for the best but completely understand your concerns. I don't know if I'm able to carry a baby the whole way.... it's not a pleasant feeling. I'm just trying to take each day at a time and hope for the best. I hope you're ok? How far along are you? X

swiftt · 18/10/2020 10:26

@scrambledeggy I feel exactly the same. I’m not even letting myself get excited for my scan because in the back of my mind, I’m setting myself up for bad news. I had a missed miscarriage about 9 years ago, and this is the first time I’ve been pregnant since and it’s so hard to shake the feeling that it’s going to happen again. But, we have to try and remember that it is much more likely for a pregnancy to end with a healthy baby than it is to end in a miscarriage. And it’s totally out with our control. I’m trying to relax a little now that I’m 7 weeks and my symptoms have gone into overdrive, whereas with my MMC I had absolutely zero symptoms the whole time. This is a whole new pregnancy. I think we all have these fears to some extent x

scrambledeggy · 18/10/2020 10:32

@MRJ86 Sorry for your loss. I'm glad it's not just me that feels this way, though. Based on a scan I had after some bleeding the other week, I'm just over 7 weeks. How about you?

I think it's sickness and work stress and miscarriage worry all together that are making me feel low. Also that I can only really speak to my OH about it at this point. I have good days and bad days. I should feel less anxious after my booking appointment, which is this week. Wishing you a healthy pregnancy ❤️

scrambledeggy · 18/10/2020 10:36

@swiftt Thank you so much for your kind words, and sorry for your loss. I think it does help for me to think of it as a whole new pregnancy. And you are of course completely right about the stats.

With the kind of year it's been, I also feel a weird sort of pressure for it to work out just so I can give my family and friends a bit of joy, if you know what I mean? I really, really hope we can all meet healthy babies next summer.

MRJ86 · 18/10/2020 10:37

@scrambledeggy I'm only 4 weeks! I literally got pregnant before my AF appeared after MC. So I'm so early - I feel mainly ok but then I get waves of anxiety. We so desperately want a baby so are hoping for the best but are unfortunately prepared for any outcome. I agree with @swiftt most pregnancies end with a healthy baby so I'm trying to be positive and feel like it's out turn. You know? I already have quite a lot of symptoms which is good. X

CAMRK · 18/10/2020 10:41

@GanderousGoose @lucieloos @lolliloo so glad i'm not the only one in the high risk boat. so those of you that have already had babies - I have had my booking appointments and blood taken but now have a letter for a consultants appointment - but only a phone call because of covid- is this good news ? bad news ? what is it for ? literally imagining every scenario and the appointment is a month away so may have turned my hair grey with worry by then . The other thing I am really worried about I read online that during pregnancy your boobs gain 4 cup sizes , is this true (I know not everything on the internet is true but they do grow)? if so where do you find a comfy circus tent that your husband will still find attractive as I has size H boobs before this so that means I will be size L!!! is that even a thing [Shock]

scrambledeggy · 18/10/2020 10:44

@MRJ86 Our bodies are so strange and unpredictable! Same with the early symptoms; I first got an inkling I might be pregnant when I noticed my boobs felt bigger and I was going off some foods around 4 weeks. I optimistically downloaded a pregnancy yoga app but a week later I felt too sick to actually do any 😂

Alrowley · 18/10/2020 12:08

@CAMRK - My boobs did not change one bit in my first pregnancy, only after birth they grew as the milk came in ! Amy

DollyParton2 · 18/10/2020 12:23

What helped me with my previous pregnancies is this: yes miscarriage sadly does happen. It’s awful. But the odds are hugely stacked to have a healthy, successful pregnancy. Miscarriages are the minority, healthy pregnancies by far the majority. I’d look around at the 100s of people on my commute/ at work/ walking around and think “every single one of us is only here because we were a healthy pregnancy”! That’s how many people do go onto have a baby. Millions!
I’m still worrying this time round, but try to hold onto the bigger picture.

Iknewyouwerewaitingforme · 18/10/2020 12:27

CAMRK sorry but you’re going through a pregnancy & all the stress that comes with it. Finding a bra your husband still finds attractive?! Fuck that.

lucieloos · 18/10/2020 12:33

@CAMRK the consultants appt is likely to be because of age but it's a standard thing. It's likely you will be consultant led rather than midwife but just means extra scans, check ups etc

Jen8888 · 18/10/2020 12:34

@Orlandoflorida1 my DS will be 3.5 by the time baby arrives!

Can't imagine having 2!

SS123456 · 18/10/2020 12:36

Ok perhaps a TMI question but...

The last 3 mornings after a bowel movement (no straining at all) I have had a tiny amount of brown/pink only when I have wiped and then it is completely gone. Has anyone else had or having similar?

The first time it happened I assumed it was maybe not vaginal but the last two times I have been sure to double check and I am 95% sure it is vaginal

Anyone else had this?

Orlandoflorida1 · 18/10/2020 12:36

@Jen8888 it is a scary thought!

Jen8888 · 18/10/2020 12:39

@SS123456 this is how I started bleeding (vaginally) through being constipated and straining - I'm sure of it.

I don't think it's anything to worry about but you could get it checked if it persists x

Iknewyouwerewaitingforme · 18/10/2020 12:49

DollyParton2 that’s a really lovely way of looking at it. Thanks. Going to try & think like this more x

scrambledeggy · 18/10/2020 14:35

@DollyParton2 You know what, you are SO right. Thank you so much for putting it so beautifully. When I first had my MC in the summer, I remember chatting to all my family (over the phone of course lol) and thinking to myself, you know what, it's amazing that so many wonderful people who mean so much to me are here. That every person who means so much to me or is yet to mean something special to me came from a pregnancy (no matter how hard or fraught). And if it goes wrong this time again, at least I have all them with me, no matter how far away.

Penny2020 · 18/10/2020 16:08

Hi ladies, thought I’d share that I’ve just had my private scan and unbelievably relieved to share that we saw a little tiny heartbeat. After some bleeding late last week and hardly any symptoms I was pretty sure it was going to be bad news. Happiness lasted about an hour, and now back to worrying again!

ECoby · 18/10/2020 16:10

Can I join the club? Due 12th June, first baby, wasnt 100% planned - I blame a cheese and wine night. Currently very bloated, burpy, and lots of sharp abdominal pain for the last week which is stressing me out! GP says it van be normal. Also not sleeping much and peeing loads! Then started with the nausea/vomitting 2 days ago. I was hoping for "pregnancy glow" ... the reality is I feel awful. Is anyone else struggling so early?

ExcitedFirstTimeMummy · 18/10/2020 16:13

Hey everyone! I found out 2 days ago I'm expecting my first on the 14th June. Beyond excited!

The only symptom I've had is extremely sore boobs Grin. Apart from that I've felt fine!

So excited to share my journey along with others ☺

Bbdm1984 · 18/10/2020 16:22

@penny2020 i am so unbelievably happy for you (i was wondering how you were doing) i bet it felt amazing x

Penny2020 · 18/10/2020 16:25

@Bbdm1984 have also been thinking about you! How are you getting on?
Yes absolutely wonderful, a relief more than anything, I basically haven’t slept all week! Still feel like it’s a long way off before I can relax but lovely to see that little heartbeat hammering away

Bbdm1984 · 18/10/2020 16:42

@Penny2020 congratulations that is amazing. As for me i have absolutely no idea what is going on at the moment. I have had no coloured discharge since the other day after walking the dog, boobs are horrendously sore sometimes and then not at all at others, very vivid dreams and still exhausted. My little doggie willow is also stuck to me most of the time. I have no pregnancy tests in the house so i decided to use an opk just to poas and have had an absolute dye stealer so i dont know what to make of it x

@ECoby I’m due 17th of June but think it’ll be brought forwards after the scan because I ovulated really early.

I feel crap too, nauseous when I get hungry and then nauseous during and after eating. I haven’t actually been sick yet but the feelings been getting worse as this last weeks gone on. I feel really bad when DH makes me a lovely dinner but something in it makes me want to throw up.

Also generally knackered 😴😴 but find that I’m not sleeping that deeply.

Part of me is wishing away the weeks, pregnancy seems to last for so long! I do enjoy reading about which part of baby is developing each day though 😊

Penny2020 · 18/10/2020 16:51

@Bbdm1984 Willow is GORGEOUS!!!
That certainly is a dye stealer! For me, last time I miscarried before I knew anything was wrong my tiredness completely disappeared. This time, I was convincing myself after the bleed that all my symptoms had gone down but the tiredness this week has been out of control, I had 2 naps yesterday and barely left the sofa. So hoping it’s a good sign that you’re knackered too!
Keeping everything crossed for no more bleeding for you, hopefully it was just a one off 😘
