Anyone else with me yet? Smile

And welcome to all the newbies! Congratulations and enjoy the burping Wink

Bbdm1984 · 18/10/2020 17:09

@penny2020 thank you, i think so too but then im biased she is my baby. I think im just going to plod on and try and get to 8 weeks then get a reassurance scan if i make it... seeing the opk has made me a little hopeful and will probably do a digital on friday/sat to get my 3+

ECoby · 18/10/2020 17:21

I wonder if im further along as symptoms came very early. I have no idea on my cycle either as had my iud removed, one period and one forgotten pill and im here... feeling exactly the same. Starving hungry one moment, then the smell of hot food has me heaving. Especially anything with gravy?! Cold pizza worked well at lunch. Trying the cold odourless food approach and regular crackers and ice cold water which appears to be helping.

PinkPlantCase · 18/10/2020 17:55

Can confirm I still like Yorkshire puddings 😁

Penny2020 · 18/10/2020 17:57

Just polished off a couple myself @PinkPlantCase

Hey I feel you, my son is 13! How exciting tho! I've forgotten everything lol
DollyParton2 · 18/10/2020 19:23

scrambledeggy ahh thanks! So sorry you went through a MC in the summer but so much hope, strength, positive vibes to you, me (& everyone here!) this time x

bez91 · 18/10/2020 19:36

@Rosieposie07 👋 you're the same due date as me 😊 I'll be ringing up for my booking app when I'm about 7/8 weeks as that's how it works in this area so no scan yet being so early.

No sickness yet but real appetite decrease which probably isn't a bad thing 🙈

SS123456 · 18/10/2020 19:47

Thank you @Jen8888 that is good to know 😊

Jen8888 · 18/10/2020 19:48

God I feel so sick I could cry.

It's all day, no puking but feel awful.

I have a DS who is 2 and I feel so bad for him that I'm so useless atm.

Scan at EPU tomorrow because of bleeding last week (still having continued brown discharge) Hmm

Bbdm1984 · 18/10/2020 20:11

@jen8888 good luck for your scan tomorrow, i know its not nice but symptoms are a good thing x

Namechangedforthisoct2 · 18/10/2020 20:18

Hey Rosie,

Yes it does feel exciting as feels first time!! :)

scrambledeggy · 18/10/2020 20:30

@ECoby I have to wait for my food to cool down before I eat it to stop me feeling so sick, the hot food aversion is definitely a thing! I had some cold leftover pizza for dinner last week and I agree, it was a godsend 😍🍕

@Jen8888 good luck with your scan, my EPU were lovely when I had a similar thing the other week and I was freaking out.

@DollyParton2 Thank you 🥰

GanderousGoose · 18/10/2020 21:16

@Namechangedforthisoct2 @Rosieposie07 hi both - my DS is nearly 14 and I'm 40 as well, namechanged. Due 14 June, currently 5+6. How are you both doing?

Willowtree12 · 18/10/2020 21:26

Hey guys . Congratulations to all of u in the June club . I found out I’m pregnant yesterday and still not sure it’s sunk in yet . this will be my 4th child , my youngest being 10 so a big age gap . I’m currently worried sick as I’ve been taking co-codamol for a year now due to a injury and read it can cause cleft lip in babies, I stopped taking the co-codamol straight away but now I’m having awful withdrawal symptoms , headache from hell , diarrhoea , and flu like symptoms and palpatations . All my other pregnancies have been ok thank the lord but now I’m worried this pregnancy is going to cause me problems . I’m calling the drs for advice tomorrow but just wondered if anyone else having this withdrawal problem . Stay safe everyone xx

Willowtree12 · 18/10/2020 21:33

I’m due 18th according to my dates . I’m not allowed to make an appointment t with the midwife until I’m 7 weeks then she will arrange a scan . I’m just gutted my partner is unable to attend with me being as it’s our first child together . I have 3 other previous children from my ex at 18,12and 10 . It’s like starting all over again 🙈. I’m nearly 40 too so I know I’m not going to have a spring in my step like my other pregnancies . Xx

PinkPlantCase · 18/10/2020 21:40

@Willowtree12 congrats! I take codeine for nerve damage and I had to ween off some other medication before TTC so had a lot of involved with the GP to discuss which medication I could continue with.

The GP said codeine was fine to carry on taking, I take it as an when needed. Before getting pregnant that was about 3 days in every week. Now I only take it if I literally can’t move but it is reassuring to know that it’s one of the medications they’re less worried about.

Obviously this advice was specific to my situation so do to your doctor/midwife and hopefully they’ll be helpful/realistic with how you can manage the pain.

PinkPlantCase · 18/10/2020 21:44

So far as withdrawals go I haven’t really had any. Aside from now using less pain relief so feeling shitty from background pain, on top of feeling shitty for nausea. It’s great fun in my house 😂

Willowtree12 · 18/10/2020 21:54

That’s reassuring that ur dr feels it’s safe to continue at a minimal dose . I take between 4-8 tablets a day for nerve damage also as had bad reaction to gabapentin and pregabalin so had to just stick with the co-codamol . I’m defiantly going to have to ring the drs Tom for them to advise me on the awful withdrawal symptoms and if I can continue with the co-codaol or if they wish to reduce the strength . I was on 30/500 . I’m hoping I can get by with a smaller dose . I will deal the the pain but can’t deal with this withdrawal xx

Willowtree12 · 18/10/2020 21:57

I had no nausea with my other pregnancies and was all plain sailing apart from having to wear a pelvic belt with child number 3 . I hope ur nausea and pain subsides soon xx

PinkPlantCase · 18/10/2020 22:00

Yeah I’m my experience they never just tell you to stop something. It took me 6 weeks to come off Candesartan before TTC and that had a similar purpose to gabapentin.

I’ve tried gabapentin as well. My body kept getting used to it so we had to keep increasing the dose so in the end i came off it and it wasn’t as bad without it as I thought it would be.

I take 60mg codeine with 500mg of paracetamol (when I do need it) so that was the dose that I discussed with the GP

Willowtree12 · 18/10/2020 22:12

@PinkPlantCase gabapentin is an awful drug and I’m so glad I couldn’t take it . Sent me dolally 🤪. I just hope the dr can help me tomorrow and just hope I can speak with him , I also work in a gp practise and I know what they can be like lol, now just the problem of speaking with the dr without my work colleagues over hearing as I’m not telling them yet . Think I may have to pretend to use the loo lol 😂.

PinkPlantCase · 18/10/2020 22:17

Agreed awful drug, it made me terrible at mental maths 😂😂 recon my memory is still worse for being on it now about 3 years later.

Beat of luck for tomorrow!
