I’m very early with this! I found out yesterday I’m pregnant, due 1st June.

Anyone else with me yet? Smile

Anyone else feel really down and tearful in the early days? Can't seem to shake it off today. Don't know what's wrong with me!

Kamacs12 · 17/10/2020 15:31

@lucieloos yes. I feel incredibly down. I then feel guilty about feeling down because I know how many people would be so happy to be pregnant. I'm just so sick with worry. I really don't feel myself at all.

Hayz2020 · 17/10/2020 16:19

Hi all, hope you’re all doing okay. I have felt like that @lucieloos - I was really down and crying most evenings. It’s a mixture of reasons. Hormone changes. The “reality” of pregnancy (let’s all admit pregnancy isn’t a time where we feel like goddesses as much as social media pretends that’s what it’s about) all I can eat is ice lollies and I’m tired all of the time. I’m also relying a lot on my OH and he’s been amazing but I’m an independent person so that’s hard.
The last two days I’ve been a tiny bit better but still wiped out late afternoon onwards.
Hoping 2nd trimester to get into this a bit more, feel a bit better emotionally and physically and maybe even enjoy pregnancy! Let’s see!

pookypup · 17/10/2020 16:24

Hello @CAMRK Congratulations Smile

I wonder how many weeks we get to before it feels real? Maybe when you can feel the baby moving?

Lolliloo · 17/10/2020 17:54

@CAMRK I’m getting boob pain on and off throughout the day! Couldn’t wait to rip my sports bra off the other day it was soo uncomfy! I’m waiting for my booking in appt but i will be the same as you in the high risk group :/

Sitchervice · 17/10/2020 18:28

My boobs are SO heavy. Anyone else the same? XD

bez91 · 17/10/2020 21:04

@Sitchervice yes mine are killing me every time I move 😩

Anyone else suffering with nosebleeds? They always seem to be one of my earlier pregnancy symptoms. I suffered horrendously with them with DD1 and they started at my last CP and had two this week. I know it's normal for some women just annoying!

SkittyKat · 17/10/2020 21:07

@Sitchervice

My boobs are SO heavy. Anyone else the same? XD
Yes! Mine too.

Sorry for all those with morning sickness. I am just ravenous all the time.

GanderousGoose · 17/10/2020 21:16

@CAMRK I'm overweight too and also 40, will be 41 by time baby comes, all being well. Really nice to have this thread to chat to ladies at a similar point and also really nice to find ladies of similar age and dealing with similar issues. So far I haven't had too many symptoms - occasional sharp pains on either side of my lower abdomen, which I think must be very early round ligament/stretching pain as I remember it from my previous pregnancy, sore boobs but nothing horrendous and some mild nausea sometimes which is usually relieved by eating ha. Trying to get on exercise bike a bit more often and walk a bit more. Like lots of others here, I'm v anxious about the pregnancy ending, especially given my age and being overweight. In some ways the weeks are flying by but in others, it feels like I've known for aaaages that I'm pregnant (got my BFP at 9dpo)!

lucieloos · 17/10/2020 22:28

@Kamacs12 @Hayz2020 sorry to hear you have also been feeling down. Glad to know I'm not going crazy though. Hopefully will feel better in the morning.

@GanderousGoose @CAMRK I'm 41 so feel the same. Very anxious because of my age. Great to find others in similar situations. Hope everything will go smoothly for us all.

Orlandoflorida1 · 17/10/2020 22:37

Is anyone in here pregnant with their second child? If so what’s the age gap? Mine will be 2yr 8 months - kinda nervous but sure it will be ok!

SS123456 · 17/10/2020 22:52

@Sitchervice yes my boobs are really heavy and sore! I've just put a sports bra on for bed!

SS123456 · 17/10/2020 22:53

@Orlandoflorida1 this is my second child too. I have a son who is 8 and a half so there will be a big gap between them

Sitchervice · 17/10/2020 22:56

So I've worked out if NHS website is correct on my Due day I have around 33 weeks left... That dosnt sound like alot at all!

lucieloos · 17/10/2020 23:03

@Orlandoflorida1 third here....theres 18 months between the first two which was hard! There will be 2yrs 6m between no 2 and no 3 all being well which I think is a lot more doable.

Hbw18 · 18/10/2020 06:37

@Humpty11 I too have been feeling very sick... And have a 2 year old to entertain too 😴 the only thing I'm finding helps, and it was the same with my first... Is eating even when I don't feel like it.

Hbw18 · 18/10/2020 06:43

@SkittyKat @Sitchervice mine too... And they feel huge!

Hbw18 · 18/10/2020 06:45

@Orlandoflorida1 I am pregnant with my second and the age gap will be just under 3 years (due 3rd June and my daughter's birthday is about 3 weeks later)

Humpty11 · 18/10/2020 06:49

@Hbw18 I’ve been doing that too but have a horrible fear of throwing up the food that I’ve just eaten 🤢. I know I’m so lucky to be pregnant but I hate this part 🤮. I hope yours eases up soon

Hbw18 · 18/10/2020 07:00

@Humpty11 I know what you mean, I'm the same. I usually only fancy something really specific which is hard to plan for! Hope yours eases soon too

MegaBloxRox · 18/10/2020 07:11

Orlando this is my third. There are 25 months between my first 2. It was hard at first learning to juggle the baby and a toddler, but I would advise you to take all the help you can. DH and grandparents took DC1 out a fair bit when DC2 was newborn. DC1 has always been amazing with DC2 and they have a fantastic relationship and love to play together.

The worst bit was probably potty training my 3 year old just as my 10 month old was taking her first steps (early walker) Confused

There will be 3.5 years between DC2 and DC3. I think in many ways it will be easier, but I do hope DC3 will not be left out.

Alrowley · 18/10/2020 07:32

When did everyone’s sickness start? :) My first was at week 5/6, went off banana’s and then week 8-13 was vomiting on and off during day x

Orlandoflorida1 · 18/10/2020 07:39

Thanks all. I’m hoping to potty train before new baby arrives!

bestsquirrelinthewholehole · 18/10/2020 08:24

@Alrowley my first sickness started at around 9 weeks I think until around 13 weeks and I lost 2 stone. It was literally morning sickness. Felt fine by lunchtime. My second was 4 weeks until about 20 weeks I think. And it was horrendous all day every day.
My third I don't remember how many weeks but I don't remember being very sick, and I haven't had any nausea yet and I am 5+5 now. So still time!! 😜

scrambledeggy · 18/10/2020 09:58

Anyone here terrified of having a missed miscarriage? Judging by the posts on Mumsnet, they seem to be so common. I'm probably a month or so away from my dating scan and feel like it's so much more likely I'll get bad news than good news. Does anyone know what the actual chance is of getting bad news at a 12 week scan?

And I'm feeling very jealous of all of you who've already got kids, as having had a MC at 5-6 weeks earlier this year, I'm not even sure I'm capable of having a healthy pregnancy. None of my mates have (afaik) been pregnant yet either, so I have no reference point for a healthy pregnancy either. Probably just hormones that have me feeling so down today but :(
