I’m very early with this! I found out yesterday I’m pregnant, due 1st June.

Anyone else with me yet? Smile

@GanderousGoose if I could give you a big hug I would. ❤️ I'm sorry you feel the same, but it's nice knowing it isn't just me...

It does feel incredibly isolating all of this.

Ivybutterfly · 16/10/2020 10:25

To all of the women who had some bleeding: I had some in both previous successful pregnancies. There is hope.

In a dummies guide to fertility it says you should avoid sex and orgasms in week 4, 8 and 12 as this is when you would have a period and some doctors think having an orgasm can push a tentative pregnancy over the edge.

Jen8888 · 16/10/2020 10:26

Hi everyone,

I've been laying low on the thread as I too have been bleeding.

The past 2 days I swear I have had a "contraction" in the morning when laying down.

I have a scan at the EPU on Monday, so trying to keep an open mind til then.

Having had a blighted ovum and then a healthy pregnancy (where I bled) you just don't know which way it is going to go.

The only thing keeping me positive is the sickness, surely this must be a good sign x

bestsquirrelinthewholehole · 16/10/2020 10:42

Morning all, preyers for all that have had bleeding. Prayers for Monday @jenn888.
I had implantation bleeding with my first at 7 weeks, nearly 14 years ago, and the anxiety it causes is horrendous, but if I remember rightly it was more a brown. I also had a bright red bleed with my second after intercourse, can't remember how far along I was maybe 20+ weeks. And I think it turned out to be a blood vessel. Not trying to patronise your concerns, at all. But bleeding doesn't always mean loss. I really pray all is OK.
I have a 14 year old, 7 year old and 5 year old. So I feel as though I have forgotten all this pregnancy milarky. I am knackered, boobs are crazy sore and my stomach feels like it's under my ribs... But surely not! As I am only 5 weeks!!

Bertyb7 · 16/10/2020 11:11

Hello! Congratulations to you all and wishing everyone a happy healthy next 8 months. can I tentatively join this group, meant to be due on 19 June. My lines have been continuously faint all week (not total squinters but they never been dark) and although my GP isn't concerned about the apparent non progression, I still am! Hoping they darken soon to put my mind at rest and so that I can start celebrating my pregnancy.

Sitchervice · 16/10/2020 11:12

I keep getting excited then really nervous! Excited about the baby and then nervous about loosing it. :(

Kamacs12 · 16/10/2020 11:13

@bestsquirrelinthewholehole thank you for the positive story. I've only had brown discharge, but this is my first and I already felt very out of sorts because this wasn't a planned pregnancy (although still much wanted!). So it's shaken me...

My symptoms have also subsided a bit today. Still feel a bit nauseous but mainly just very hungry, which I haven't been up until now. I have also been in bed and asleep by 8:30 every day this week. But I don't feel tired... it's very strange.

Seeing all the brown discharge is super alarming. I just want it to be December already so I get to twelve weeks.

Have an early scan booked for the 28th. My booking in appointment is 29th and I'd rather not sit through that for an hour if something untoward has happened.

Kamacs12 · 16/10/2020 11:14

@Sitchervice that's me in a nutshell!

Kamacs12 · 16/10/2020 11:15

(Sorry for multiple replies, on my phone and not very good at remembering names 🙈🙈)

@Jen8888 all the luck in the world for your scan xx

Dragonfly92 · 16/10/2020 11:36

Welcome and congratulations to all the new joiners!

@bez91 we have the same due date 😊

Sorry to hear of all the ladies experiencing bleeding. I hope it all settles and everything is okay. Thinking of you all.

@bestsquirrelinthewholehole I'm 5 weeks today and I experienced weird pressure under my ribs a couple of days ago, similar to what you're describing. Had a Google which said it could just be trapped wind 🤷‍♀️ so hopefully nothing of concern. Mine only lasted the evening and hasn't come back since.

Super tired today. Hope everyone else is doing okay today.

bex757 · 16/10/2020 11:47

A bit tmi, but I have orange discharge which has panicked me!

bestsquirrelinthewholehole · 16/10/2020 11:51

@kamacs12, yes our wasn't a planned pregnancy either..... It was a bit of a shock, but you soon forget all the money worries etc etc and just feel that maternal protection. Anxiety and delight... My day is an emotional roller-coaster.
Wake up in the night feeling really nauseated, but during the day I am just whacked.

SS123456 · 16/10/2020 11:53

@Bertyb7 I couldn't see progression in my lines either. This morning (16dpo) I did a FMU frer and then a second wee of the day frer and look at the difference! Maybe give that a try too? My line is now much darker than previous days/tests

Has anyone's symptoms gone/decreased? I'm 6 weeks today. Just worrying as my boobs not as sore/tummy doesn't feel as firm/bloated today. Know its noting in the scheme of things but worry far too much!!

Kamacs12 · 16/10/2020 12:15

@DollyParton2 my symptoms come and go. I don't feel very nauseous today at all. I'm trying not to worry about it too much as some people only realise they're pregnant at 5/6 weeks. I'm 6 weeks tomorrow.

I never thought I'd say this, but I'd really like full blown morning sickness to start just so I know somethings happening and it's okay. 😂🙈

swiftt · 16/10/2020 12:35

@DollyParton2 I’m feeling okay most of the time. I’m 6+4. Really sensitive nipples and tender boobs, waves of very slight nausea, bloated, and burping constantly but that’s about it. Also want some full blown morning sickness but will regret saying that as soon as I do I’m sure!

SarahTTC2020 · 16/10/2020 12:37

@DollyParton2 I'm 6+2 and haven't really had a symptom at all except missed period and constantly hard nipples!

@swiftt yes! Had the most vivid miscarriage dream this week and I'm 6+2

Dragonfly92 · 16/10/2020 12:41

@bex757 I've literally just had the exact same thing when I went to the loo and really worked myself up. Rung my maternity triage and the midwife advised to rest up and that it could be a 'phantom bleed' and quite common to bleed around when your period should be. It could also be implantation bleeding too. She wasn't too worried as it wasn't bright red.

Not sure how far you are in your pregnancy but I was told under 6 weeks they won't refer you to the early pregnancy clinic and if it continues after 6 weeks to call the midwife again.

Hope this helps reassure you.

swiftt · 16/10/2020 12:42

@SarahTTC2020 aw no, it’s horrible isn’t it? The dread when I woke up was awful. Must just be fears popping up in the dreams. I also have constantly hard nipples at the moment hahaha, it’s very annoying!

Bertyb7 · 16/10/2020 13:21

@SS123456 Wow that's fantastic progression, thanks so much for sharing and definitely gives me hope ☺️ I have two first response tests arriving this weekend so fingers crossed!

CLD8989 · 16/10/2020 13:21

Hi everyone, Can I join your gang?! Found out this week that I'm pregnant - 6+2 weeks so due 9th June 2021. This is a much longed for baby, I'm so excited but also freaking out a little bit!
On Sunday I found out I've got Covid, and Monday found out I'm pregnant. 2 positives in one week is a lot to get your head around! So currently I'm feeling pretty rough (and so is my husband) so I'm not sure it's really sinking in yet!
I've got zero clue on what all the abbreviations everyone uses are...but I guess I'll learn all that.
Excited, nervous, a bit scared and totally exhausted (thanks covid and hormones ganging up on me!) Mamma-to-be.

ladymary86 · 16/10/2020 13:27

Welcome and congrats @CLD8989!

Hope you feel better soon and recover quickly from the dreaded covid!!

Jen8888 · 16/10/2020 13:57

I hate this bloody virus!
The impact this is having on the pregnancy already is so annoying.

I rang the doctor a week ago to schedule a Booking appointment - was told to drop in a pick up a "pregnancy pack".

Having just done that I've had one thrust at me through the closed GP door.

Having read it, it says call X number to schedule the Booking appointment - I've just done that and was told a midwife would ring me in the next 2 weeks and do this over the phone and I would drop in to do bloods "at some point".

Anyone else receiving different care elsewhere? X

bestsquirrelinthewholehole · 16/10/2020 14:17

I am south west, and I was told to self refer using an NHS midwife link, emailed back saying that my booking in app a midwife will call me before 11 weeks!! I thought that was terribly late for a booking app, but then my last pregnancy was 5 years ago so perhaps that's the "done" thing now??

Coffee4me · 16/10/2020 14:44

@Jen8888 I could self-refer to midwife, and booking appointment is at 8 weeks by phone (not sure of bloods and urine test) - I'm given a date, not time when they call though 🙈 At that appointment they normally give details to book 12 week scan.
