I’m very early with this! I found out yesterday I’m pregnant, due 1st June.

Anyone else with me yet? Smile

My Drs booked me in for my booking appt at 7 weeks which is Monday. Not sure what will happen then but I did get an hour's time slot for it

SS123456 · 16/10/2020 15:04

@Bertyb7 🤞🏻🤞🏻for you!

Jen8888 · 16/10/2020 15:04

I really want a normal face to face appointment but I know how unreasonable I sound.

It sounds like different areas are offering different ways of care.

GanderousGoose · 16/10/2020 17:24

I've had a letter giving me a booking in telephone appt at just over 9 weeks. Feels like a while to wait! I self-referred to midwives using the online form on my local hospital's maternity services page and got the letter a few days afterwards. Seems weird that nobody will be taking any bloods until 12 week scan? I can't remember what happened with my DS, who is about to turn 14...

PinkPlantCase · 16/10/2020 17:53

I had a letter asking me to book in with the maternity service. I rang them and it’s all very loose 😂 my scan will be at some point between 17th November and the 17th December was all the detail they could give me. And the midwife will call anytime before then. Hoping I’ll get something in the post that’s more certain

Quiptic · 16/10/2020 18:02

Hi all. Hope it’s ok if I join. I got my BFP last week and think I’m due on 15 June. I’m 36 and this is my first pregnancy. It’s a bit of a shock after TTC for over a year! Wishing everyone on here safe and healthy pregnancies.

angelinaxoxo · 16/10/2020 21:23

went to ob today she said I'm still very early but everything sounds normal ! Anyone know if sex is safe at 4-5 weeks?

swiftt · 16/10/2020 21:29

I’m in Scotland. Self referred to midwives when I found out, had a call within half an hour to clarify details. Got told someone would be in touch around 8 weeks. Booking appointment has been scheduled for 8+2, and it’s face to face. I’ve had to do a bit of chasing up as I’m not sure how things work, but quite happy so far.

CharWils · 17/10/2020 00:59

@Quiptic congratulations, lovely news after trying for a year!

Regarding care I am south east and mine sounds similar to @bestsquirrelinthewholehole.

Had to do a self refer form, didn't get an email to confirm so chased today and was told pretty much the same that I will hear by the latest 10 plus 6 days which I thought seemed a while too! I got confused after that 😂 but something about 12-13 weeks for ultrasound and midwife will come to same app as something else to tie it all in!

Was able to speak to a GP today though as had some questions regarding dos and donts which didn't want to wait another 5 plus weeks for answers on!

Drmukti · 17/10/2020 06:51

Hello, everyone! I hope it’s okay if I join this group too? This is my first pregnancy and I’m due 19 June. I don’t know what BFP is..! I have lots of similar questions (is sex safe, symptoms, general worry!!) and am waiting to tell my partner in person when I see him in two weeks, so could really use the support. Congratulations to everyone here! It feels surreal, wonderful and terrifying all at once for me.

GeeHO98 · 17/10/2020 07:01

I have some paper info from my first pregnancy saying which foods are safe and which aren't if anyone wants me to try uploading them? It might not be as update but it's a semi recent one if anyone's interested

Kamacs12 · 17/10/2020 07:14

@Drmukti it means big fat positive 😊 congratulations x

CharWils · 17/10/2020 07:30

Congrats @Drmukt must be so hard waiting but will be worth it I'm sure.

I am apparently also due in June. I have downloaded the what to expect and pregnancy + app, both seem good and the latter gives particularly good symptom advice and week by week stuff including stuff for partner.

@GeeHO98 that would be helpful, I confirmed with my Dr today that I could eat poached eggs 😂 I didn't know if they would be classed as raw - they aren't!

Drmukti · 17/10/2020 07:31

@Kamacs12 Ahhh! Thank you!! This is all so new to me. And thanks for the congrats, means a lot when I can't tell anyone else! Smile

Drmukti · 17/10/2020 07:34

Thank you @CharWils! And massive congrats to you too. I've also got several apps going, and am reading all I can. But having others to talk to makes such a huge difference to me, so thanks for replying. I am trying my best not to worry but think it's going to be a long few weeks for that 12 week reassurance. Sleepless nights not helping!

Kamacs12 · 17/10/2020 07:41

Is anyone else is really struggling with sleeping? For the past 4/5 nights I've been asleep by 9, usually going to bed between 7 and 8. But I often wake up around 2 and can't get back to sleep. Today I was awake until at least 4:30. I can't work out if I'm tired because of lack of sleep or because it's a symptom 🙈

Butterfly134 · 17/10/2020 07:47

@Sitchervice ahhh congratulations on your pregnancy Smile so exciting having someone who shares the same due date! Woke up yesterday with the worst heartburn and nausea 😩❤️

Butterfly134 · 17/10/2020 07:47

6+1 weeks, anyone feeling period like pains? Woke up to them and feeling terribly anxious

ZAVMLB · 17/10/2020 08:10

@Butterfly134 yeah I had some period types pain last nightSmile

PinkPlantCase · 17/10/2020 08:12

@Kamacs12 I don’t feel like I sleep as deeply, so I’ll wake up after a full nights sleep and feel like I could do the whole night again. 😴😴

@Butterfly134 I’m about a week behind you and I’ve been having pains that come and go pretty much much since the start. The GP said it’s normal as things start to stretch around. He said that if you have period like pains it’s okay to take paracetamol but if the pains still bad after taking tablets then I should call to get everything checked.

Hope that helps, I took it to mean that some pain and discomfort is very normal but severe pain isn’t!

Alrowley · 17/10/2020 08:20

Hello. Hope that it's okay that I join this thread. I am currently avoiding testing but think I'm pregnant as actively TTC and am a few days past my period date, maybe up to to 5 days haha. Afraid as previous months, I've tested and then Af came although I did not test after AF due date.

So far, I've got tingling nipples, full boobs but nothing major. I am also waking in the night for past 3 nights, needed a wee and I have a mild UTI... wow...

I have 1 child aged 3 and I had pain and brown spotting for 8 weeks with her.

Putting off testing as been TTC to for over a year and with her it was the first month so don't want to test my luck! I have period type mild mild feelings, fulls full down there and feel like Af could come any minute. With first baby, didn't feel like this (i think)

CharWils · 17/10/2020 08:28

Tell me about it @Kamacs12, my AF was technically due today so feeling slightly on edge and hoping nothing goes wrong!

I'm finding myself feeling more tired since yest, but have slept really lightly! Although not sure if it's in my head or not at this stage.

@Alrowley fingers crossed for you when you do test! Do you mean that you tested positive previously and then AF came or just don't want to feel like tempting fate?

MegaBloxRox · 17/10/2020 08:29

Can I join the club? I am 4 +2 with number 3 and due 24th June (though I expect this to be moved back a couple of days after my scan like my other 2)

MegaBloxRox · 17/10/2020 08:30

Fingers crossed Alrowley

MegaBloxRox · 17/10/2020 08:31

Just to add alrowley that I also feel like AF could turn up at any time, but I am very definitely pregnant (for now). I think I had this with my other 2, but those pregnancies were 5 and 3 years ago, so memory is a little hazy.
