I’m very early with this! I found out yesterday I’m pregnant, due 1st June.

Anyone else with me yet? Smile

I'm going to tell my friends tonight. Just two, but I figure if something does go wrong they can support me too. I'm done with keeping the worst part of pregnancy a secret!! Everyone is knowing this time!!

PabsyPops · 07/10/2020 09:44

I'm 6+1 today (I think) and have my first midwife booking appointment tomorrow on the phone. I'm feeling anxious today as I've woken up without feeling sick like the last few days and boobs no longer sore? Is this normal?

Rory19 · 07/10/2020 09:45

Hi all, Congratulations on your pregnancies I hope you don’t mind me joining in! I’m due June 1st 2021. I had a missed miscarriage in April At 9 weeks which was extremely devastating.
Feeling really positive with this pregnancy!
But I’ve had some brown when I wipe today and a couple of days ago has anyone else experienced this?
Thank you so much x

Swimgirl83 · 07/10/2020 09:58

We've decided not to tell anyone until the 12 week scan as well. We did this with our first and it was really hard not to tell anyone, but it was also nice to be able to tell them with a scan picture.

Although I'm quite glad I'm still WFH and not really seeing people at the moment as I swear I am already looking far more bloated this time round than I did last time! I've just worked really hard to lose 4 stone so am going to try and keep as fit and active for as long as I can this time round as well! (last time I took the eating for 2 and not doing any exercise bit a bit too far Grin

Rory19 · 07/10/2020 10:20

@PabsyPops I’m 6 + 1 today too! My nausea comes in waves throughout the day! Yesterday I woke up feeling awful and today when I woke up I felt fine until I brushed my teeth and then the nausea hit me again xxx

DollyParton2 · 07/10/2020 11:08

Could I join please? Due 10 June 21, DC no3.

I am literally counting the days to reach the end of each week and cross another off (currently 4 +5) , forgot how slow but stressfully these first few months move!

DollyParton2 · 07/10/2020 11:12

Just reading posts back- I’ve booked a private early scan for 7 weeks as should see heartbeat by then. I booked several private scans for my previous 2 pregnancies as just so reassuring. I found a local place that does them pretty cheaply so what better way to spend money I always think!

Newmother321 · 07/10/2020 11:36

@Rory19 the nausea hasn't hit me yet, although I did feel realllly sick last Monday, now I'm thinking that was my first day of my body responsing to New levels of hormones but since then I've been OK. Fingers crossed yours gets better!

@swimgirl83 I'm so glad I'm WFH at the minute too, I feel like I'm so bloated too! Also need an afternoon nap each afternoon atm ha! Not sure how I'd cope with the exhaustion by physically being in work. I am a scientist so would be on my feet in the lab all day!.

Newmother321 · 07/10/2020 11:38

@DollyParton2 welcome to the thread! I've got my early scan at 8 weeks and I'm a first time mum so wasn't quite sure what I would be able to see then but reassuring to hear you've seen a heart beat after 7 weeks with your other pregnancies!
How are you feeling?

toptreeroots1 · 07/10/2020 12:01

With my first I had a early NHS scan due to bleeding and they saw just a yolk sac at 5 weeks. They had me back a week later and I saw a tiny dot with a heartbeat.
I then had a private scan at 9 weeks s a private gender one at 16 weeks and a 3d one at 27 weeks.

Saving my money this time as whilst they was Fab I still felt anxious after

DollyParton2 · 07/10/2020 12:39

Thanks Newmother321 I’m feeling twinges/ light cramps but no sickness. I’m quite a bit older (39) this time round so I think it’ll definitely be a more knackering pregnancy. How are you?
Couldn't remember the exact week I’d booked early scans with my previous 2 but think if you’re 7 weeks you should see one by then?

Newmother321 · 07/10/2020 12:45

@DollyParton2 similar symptoms to be at the minute. I'm also starving one minute but when it comes time for dinner I don't want to eat anything.
Fingers crossed I'll see a heart beat, just so worried to get my hopes up until I've seen that. Luckily I have a weeks holiday booked the week before my scan is due so that should make the time go a bit quicker. Right now it feels so far off ha!

DollyParton2 · 07/10/2020 12:54

Newmother321 I know time is seriously dragging right now isn’t it! A holiday will be lovely & help speed things up. I’m the opposite have my 7 week booked the day we are supposed (not holding out hope ) to be off to Lake District for 1/2 term!
Also feel totally the same with you re. appetite. Think my metabolism has re-kick started again as eating quite a lot but not putting on weight- think it’s the wine calories I’m usually drinking now being saved 😁

vixarooni · 07/10/2020 13:21

Yea I don't fancy any food. Not experiencing a great deal today other than that!!

fourteen6 · 07/10/2020 15:15

@Allsizes8to14 Hi yes 14th June here

So far we've told my mum and I've also told one of my besties because we work together so it's nice to have her to confide in at work. Going to wait until at least 12 weeks for everyone else.

I also look at the tissue every time I wipe currently haha. And I'm still taking tests to watch the lines progress, anyone else?

Definitely going for an early scan and going to try force myself to wait until 8 weeks.
Counting down the days already though!

@Hbw18 I also had a MMC earlier this year so I'm really keen for that reassurance

fourteen6 · 07/10/2020 15:20

PS I'm new to actually posting on Mumsnet (long time lurker) so I feel like a lost old lady trying to post on this thread. Very much enjoying reading everyone's posts though Grinlove hearing from people going through the same things

HollyGoli · 07/10/2020 16:23

@fourteen6 Wipe'n'Look and testing, I'm guilty for sure Grin

Coffee4me · 07/10/2020 16:59

Welcome new joiners 🌷

Has anyone taken flu jab yet? I've booked appointment in few weeks' time, will be actually first time ever that I'm getting a flu jab 😮

Allsizes8to14 · 07/10/2020 17:40

@HollyGoli wipe’n’look 🤣🤣 I love it, perfect description!
I have my midwife booking in appt 9th Nov, they are very efficient here, even asked me if I knew what hospital I wanted to give birth in! It just seems too much for someone only just 4wks but maybe I’m a pessimist 🤷🏼‍♀️ Clear blue digital arrived today so will see what it says about weeks tomorrow 🙏🏻

Hahaha love this

fourteen6 · 07/10/2020 18:05

@Allsizes8to14 I would love an update about your digital! I did one 3 days ago and it was 1-2weeks Grin

Sara1212 · 07/10/2020 18:13

Congrats ! I’m due in April :)

Allsizes8to14 · 07/10/2020 19:08

@fourteen6 I’ll let you know! I don’t really know what to expect, last period 10th Sept, I ovulate early which was 20th or 21st sept so thinking should be 2-3 for me but we’ll see!

DollyParton2 · 07/10/2020 19:12

I’m doing another digital tomorrow as it should say 3+ weeks.... eek! I’ll let you know. I’ve ordered 4 to keep me going till my 7 week scan. Know it’s not conclusive but I’ll take anything right now!

Happy2be · 07/10/2020 20:14

Have we moved to a facebook group yet? Or we holding off a few more weeks? 🙈
