I’m very early with this! I found out yesterday I’m pregnant, due 1st June.

Anyone else with me yet? Smile

Hey ladiesDaffodilFirst-time poster, first-time pregnant
Found out 2 weeks ago even before AF was due. Wasn't planned at all and a total surprise (ahem: shock) as I am in a new relationship, in the midst of changing careers, and approaching 40. I'm 5+5 now and although it all feels very surreal I truly hope that embryo and my body get along! I detest waiting and not knowing how it'll go is so annoying!!!
Fingers crossed our Junebugs behave Wink

Bluebirdsky · 06/10/2020 15:21

Welcome to all the new joiners Smile I am feeling the same as most of you, just a bit anxious and worried and keep getting left sided pain which I worry is an ectopic. I am having terrible headaches which I remember with DS and think it's just to rising hormones. I did a CB test this morning which should have been 3+ as I am 5+2 but it's still only 2-3 so now I am worrying about that too!
I have booked an early scan for exactly 3 weeks today when I should be 8+2 so just counting down the days really!!

smarty4 · 06/10/2020 17:15

Hi, I posted before under a different user name. I've changed my name as people in RL knew my user name and I prefer the anonymity. I previously posted for reassurance for line eyes on my tests. I've since done a further test and the line is getting darker which makes me feel better but still nervous as it's so early still. Only 4w+3 days. I have arranged my booking in appt though (more so it's done and ticked off my list).
Congratulations to all the new joiners!

Allsizes8to14 · 06/10/2020 19:21

Hi ladies have been loving reading your stories and would love to join you!
I’m very early, only 3+5 (I think!) but have short cycles so period already missed and strong line with clear blue, going to do a digital thurs when they arrive. EDD 14th June!
First baby for us and I’ll be 39 when he/she arrives 😱
Have very sore boobs and tired, just feel ‘off’ which concerns me a little this early on how bad I might feel in a few weeks! Can’t really seem to get excited so far as so fearful something will go wrong. Hope all the mini beans on this thread are going from strength to strength inside us 💕

Oh also to add have had tiny amounts of spotting on occasion the last 3days, terrifies me every time!

Implantation bleeding?! Spotting and super sore boobs were my symptoms at around week 3.
ChasingARainbow · 06/10/2020 21:30

I'm 4 weeks exactly today, checked again this morning and got another strong positive so since thy is afternoon it's felt like my period is about to start- lots of pulling inside hoping everything's still ok and this one sticks.
I told my manager today as I work in the NHS on a Covid unit, he's been great and did a risk assessment that said I don't have to do face to face work so got me started with lots of things to be doing at home.
How's everyone else's getting on?

cd24x · 06/10/2020 21:49

6+3 today. Have to admit, the tiredness is kicking my butt. If I nap in the afternoon I end up not being able to sleep at night. But then on days where I push myself not to nap, I end up being up a lot during the night to pee! 😴😴😴

And let's not talk about the all day long nausea.

When do I get to the glamorous and glowing part of pregnancy??

Joking aside, I'm almost relieved in a way that I feel like crap at the moment. It's helping to ease the anxiety knowing there's clearly things happening.

piggie88 · 06/10/2020 23:35

Hi girls, hope you're all okay.
I've been having cramps all day, they're not painful and they only last a couple of seconds each time so hoping it's normal but just another thing to add to the list of things to worry about.

ladymary86 · 07/10/2020 07:04

@Allsizes8to14 we have the same EDD! 🤗

fourteen6 · 07/10/2020 07:04

Congratulations to all the June mummys!
I would like to join Grin
I'm due 14th June (4+3). I'm early 30s and this will be my first baby (but second pregnancy). Very, very excited but nervous!

Wondering when is best to book a private scan for reassurance? Don't want to go too early just in case it's more stress than needed but also feel impatient lol

What's everyone thinking?

fourteen6 · 07/10/2020 07:07

@Newmother321 we have the same due date Grin

toptreeroots1 · 07/10/2020 07:08

I'm not having a early scan this time due to money but I think I would again . Had one in my first pregnancy

Newmother321 · 07/10/2020 07:29

@fourteen6 hello EDD buddy!
I have booked an early scan for the 31st to calm my nerves. This will be 7w+5 for me.

My first pregnancy too so I'm so worried about everything at the minute. Also so scared to tell any friends or family incase something goes wrong. I think I'll wait till after the early scan in the hope I see a heartbeat?

fourteen6 · 07/10/2020 07:32

@Newmother321 I was thinking around the same time, but it seems so long away currently Shock
I do think that's a perfect number of weeks though

fourteen6 · 07/10/2020 07:33

@Newmother321
Sorry pressed send too soon! Have you told anybody at all yet? I'm so excited to start telling people but going to wait

Hbw18 · 07/10/2020 07:40

Is anyone else having an early scan? I'm planning to in a couple of weeks at about 8 weeks. I had a MMC earlier this year so hoping it'll provide some reassurance 😊

HollyGoli · 07/10/2020 08:48

Good Morning! Hope you all are doing well!

Not living in the UK so different healthcare system. Had a scan last Friday during the intake exam (around week 5; amniotic sac and yolk sac looked fine; nothing else visible) and might have another this Friday when my bloodwork is discussed as well. Have been spotting for about week now, doc said I simply have to wait and see. Was feeling rather optimistic yesterday, but after a yoga class I once again discovered rather red blood. My periods are light, so it's impossible for me to tell if it's ok pregnancy spotting or if my body is getting rid of the pregnancy.
What a torturous time!

Allsizes8to14 · 07/10/2020 08:50

Hello 14th June gang 👋🏻👋🏻 @ladymary86 @fourteen6 @Newmother321 is that right?

I’ve told my best friend as she knew we were trying and kept asking when period was due etc etc (in a nice way! She has 3 and was just so excited for us as this will be our first)

I have telephone call with GP this morning to see if I need to come off some meds that might not be pregnancy friendly. It seems so early to be doing things!

Am still anxious about every twinge, prod my boobs to check they’re still sore, dread going to toilet incase blood etc etc I would LOVE not to be like this, but not my nature unfortunately 🙈

Allsizes8to14 · 07/10/2020 08:54

💐 @HollyGoli it is such a tortuous time. I’ve had spotting for 3days and hate it! I read it is common and often normal, but sometimes not 🤷🏼‍♀️ It sounds like you’re getting really good care though, hoping for reassurance for you on Friday

Newmother321 · 07/10/2020 09:03

@fourteen6 only my husband knows currently. Our families are going to be so excited, another reason I'm holding off is I think it will be all consuming as soon as they know it will be constant baby talk, which is fine but I'm enjoying a bit of calm for now.
Also my family are in Scotland so I need to arrange for flights to go up and tell them, I'm scared to book both because the current coronavirus situation and incase there is something not quite right with the early scan.

Newmother321 · 07/10/2020 09:06

@Allsizes8to14 hello other birthdate buddy!
I hope you're feeling alright? I know the toilet dread situation, I'm convinced my period is still going to arrive!

Allsizes8to14 · 07/10/2020 09:21

Am pleased I’m not the only one with toilet dread! We aren’t going to tell anyone else until 12wks, my mum is desperate for grandchildren and has been waiting a long time! We will be 39 and 43 when this little one (hopefully 🙏🏻🙏🏻) arrives. Knowing at this stage would be just too stressful for her and I want her to be the first we ‘announce’ to x

MsJ9 · 07/10/2020 09:36

My cramps/twinges have eased slightly today but I was exhausted yesterday! I'm 4+5 now. So far only my OH and bestie knows and I only told her as she's pregnant too (23wks) and knew we were starting to try.
Tried calling surgery for midwife and was told there isn't one based there so have been given another number but they only take calls between 8 & 9am!! Seems odd to me. Think we're gonna book an early scan for around 8 weeks for piece of mind.
