@KatyCherry23 I don't get the fuss over baby's sex, no one even knows I'm pregnant anyway! Boys, girls there's no real difference until they are older anyway. I've never had a preference and I've got one of each, they are both great. Some people seem consumed over baby's sex, it's just not a thing to us.

I'd just tell your family to get lost 😆, don't find out, don't tell them, maybe let them find out when it can talk and they can ask the baby 😆 call it pat or Alex nice and unisex 👍 Keep them guessing for a year or 2 lol.

Phie04 · 15/09/2020 12:14

@KatyCherry23 I wouldn't be bothered by it if it were me. You just need to do YOU and what YOU think is best for you and your family at home. Don't feel pressured into doing something they would want as its not fair on you. I'm sure it will be more exciting for them finding out at the birth!

Names are hard! We have one for a boy but I hate every girls name I have come across. Our boys name is pretty gender neutral but OH wasn't keen on it if we have a girl. Id love either but my heart is saying we're having a girl, but then comes the stress of choosing a name!!!

NoGinNotComingIn · 15/09/2020 12:21

I wouldn't stress over names, you can decide once the baby is here. We didn't have any names for our second child (didn't know the sex) he was just no name for a few days. As long as you have one by the time you register them it's fine. I was still deciding middle names driving to register him 😆! No doubt we'll be the same again, undecided and can't agree!

holb54 · 15/09/2020 12:22

@Phie04 it's ridiculous and none of their business! I'm finding out purely because I want to but I don't see why people feel the need to judge others for either wanting to find out or not! Same goes for if it's a girl or boy, there's so much more to a baby than that and everyone is only ever hoping for a healthy baby at the end of the day. Funny I'd a friend (jealous type) who said to me when I told her that she hoped it was a girl and it pissed me off too, you know like I'd a choice, that it mattered or that a boy be less an excitement or something.. just have to ignore the rubbish

@Phie04 the basket looks lovely. I’m hoping to drag the other half to the baby show. I like to touch and feel products 😂 do any of the John Lewis stores have large baby departments?

Aurora124 · 15/09/2020 12:40

@chloxhunt please don't worry, these things are sometimes brought on by stress.

@KatyCherry23 eh yes!!!!!!! We have all boys in our family!! It's overwhelming, we have all wanted girls. Iv told 6 people so far im pregnant and everyone has said i hope its a girl, you better be finding out this time! I don't want to find out because I never have i like the experience at the end.

But i'l have to admit i want a girl. Just had my scan today, baby was having none of it speant 30 mins trying to get measured. So not clearest picture, but think it's another boy!

chloxhunt · 15/09/2020 12:42

@NoGinNotComingIn me and my partner have names for both sexs so now I'm excited for either we've had a girls name since last year

Thack · 15/09/2020 12:44

@LandMammal

so sad to hear of the recent sad news 🙁

Good lick everyvody else with their acans over rhe next week!
Our due date is 2nd of March so could be a St Davids day baby=name sorted! 🤪

Oh my! @LandMammal we've only just met! A lick back at you! Lol. Is yours today?

@chloxhunt you seem to post quite often about spotting/colour, maybe this is the normal for you. If you're still 'being intimate' maybe try to abstain for a little bit, see if that helps.

MW said today that still no hubby's in scans at my local. I'm going to phone the hospital itself later. Appt is 08:50 so I doubt I'll get through beforehand.

TMI: spoke to Dr earlier as I found a white, pus looking lump on my tonsil last night. Online advice is to give it a few days but I am being cautious as expecting. He said it's probably tonsilitis (no sore throat though) and has prescribed penicillin. Fun fun fun.

Aurora124 · 15/09/2020 12:48

So scan this morning wasn't what I expected, they spent a long time trying to get the measurements because baby wasn't playing ball. Its not the clearest of pictures.

What are people's thoughts on the sex? If you can see!

chloxhunt · 15/09/2020 12:50

@Thack I haven't had sex since I've found out it just doesn't feel right to me even though the baby wouldn't know what's going on 😂 think it's hormonal as it's always the same time every month

chloxhunt · 15/09/2020 13:05

@Aurora124 yeah I'm trying to stay calm as it's only brown but it's a good sign that they don't want to see me I guess

Phie04 · 15/09/2020 13:17

Funnily enough my 20 week scan has just come through for 27th October! Its at 4pm but I work in the same hospital so at least I can still get a full days work in!

@Sussexbysea I live in Solihull and their baby department is pants! They have loads of prams and car seats and a few clothes but nothing else. They have a few nursery sets in there too.

@holb54 I agree. No one else's business what sex or gender the baby is. I would be happy with either purely because my baby will be my baby regardless!!

@Aurora124 I think it's a lovely picture, and by looking at the skull and nub I would guess girl! Are you going to find out the gender? If so, when?

Marshmellowskies · 15/09/2020 13:41

Had my scan this morning 12+4. Any guesses on the sex ladies?

SnickerdoodleSnek · 15/09/2020 13:44

@chloxhunt Try not to stress yourself out lovely. Just keep an eye on it but I'm sure it's fine.

@Phie04 I booked my 20 week scan right after my 12 week one! 6th November for me.

@Clara9 I have a risk assessment tomorrow, and I've been told I can't stay later than 28 weeks into my pregnancy. I will probably get PPE for the classrooms and have to have my own textbooks so I don't touch ones the students use.

Marshmellowskies · 15/09/2020 13:44

@Aurora124 I think girl for you

chloxhunt · 15/09/2020 13:48

@SnickerdoodleSnek yeah I'm sure it's fine too I'm trying to stay calm

Wren1986 · 15/09/2020 14:17

So happy for you @Sussexbysea, that's amazing news! I'm waiting on NIPT results too and it's just awful, we haven't told anyone and can't get excited about the baby until we get the (hopefully!) all clear.

chloxhunt · 15/09/2020 14:20

@Sussexbysea welcome back!

ValidUser · 15/09/2020 14:45

How are you all looking bump wise? I'm 12 weeks and this is mine. No weight gain yet.

holb54 · 15/09/2020 14:51

@ValidUser lovely bump pic 💓 mine has definitely popped out! I love it 😂

Aurora124 · 15/09/2020 15:01

@Marshmellowskies i would say boy for you!

I would love for mine to be a girl, just not feeling it though. We don't have girls. But you never know, this could be the one!

chloxhunt · 15/09/2020 15:04

@Aurora124 I want a girl too but all of my partners family are pretty much boys 😂

DSP21 · 15/09/2020 15:11

@ValidUser love the bump! 12 weeks and definitely showing. Had a hen night on Saturday and spent the whole night trying to hide it behind my bag. I'm sure everyone must've figured by now, along with my virgin cocktails!

chloxhunt · 15/09/2020 15:14

@ValidUser aw nice bump! I'm so excited to have one 😂

Phie04 · 15/09/2020 15:20

Lovely bump @ValidUser

My bump is still non existent lol!
