@Phie04 so is mine lol

ValidUser · 15/09/2020 15:24

I wasn't too bothered by boy or girl. I'm crap with girly stuff and boyish stuff in equal measure.

As I see it, I have no interest in chasing laser pointers, but I still love how excited my cats get over them. Hoping it'll be the same with my child, whether he loves ballet, rugby or... laser pointers.

Enjoy07 · 15/09/2020 16:15

@ValidUser what an amazing bump 😍

aureliacecilia · 15/09/2020 16:16

Baby is all fine & I'm actually a week further along than I thought. Due date has moved to 18th March and I'm 13+5. Smile

Babafarmer · 15/09/2020 16:43

@Sussexbysea welcome back. I'm so pleased you got good results and you can know be excited. I bet the wait was absolutely awful.

I'm not bothered what we have we have about half and half on each side of the family. We are finding out but neither grandparents want to know so we have to keep it quiet. But we have decided that if anyone specifically asks what we are having we'll say otherwise we'll just keep it too ourselves xx

Sussexbysea · 15/09/2020 16:48

@Wren1986 it’s absolutely heart wrenching. I’m here if you need a chat though, I totally understand what you’re going through. Xx

holb54 · 15/09/2020 16:52

@aureliacecilia that's great news! You're 3 days ahead of me now 😊

@Wren1986 I hope you get the news you were hoping for. Did they send you for the extra testing? Sorry I'm a bit behind

EmzG20 · 15/09/2020 17:01

Is anyone else suffering with really bad headaches? Nothing is working and I work with children all day so I'm on the go constantly.

Babafarmer · 15/09/2020 17:20

@Usplusone have you heard anything further in regards to a plan. I'm hoping you can get some positivity from @Sussexbysea outcome. X

aureliacecilia · 15/09/2020 17:28

Thanks, @holb54. Feel like I've lost a week somewhere as I'm very nearly 14 weeks now!

ValidUser · 15/09/2020 17:33

@EmzG20 I've gone from rare migraines to 3 a week. Killer!

Wren1986 · 15/09/2020 17:44

Thanks @Sussexbysea Smile hopefully we'll know by the end of the week.
@KatyCherry23 we had to pay for it as I'm just on the wrong side (or right depending upon how you look at it!) of the high risk cut off for downs. Chances are it's all fine but I would go crazy in the next 6 months without the extra reassurance.

TheFoz · 15/09/2020 17:46

@EmzG20 are you drinking lots of water throughout the day?

Mrs1989 · 15/09/2020 17:47

Hi ladies, hope you’re all well Smile

I had my 12 week scan yesterday afternoon and had good news but didn’t feel right posting about it after the sad news on here yesterday. I am so sorry for the ladies who did not have good news or are having to wait for results and send my best wishes to you Flowers

My partner was allowed in yesterday which was great but I had “a technically difficult scan” because a) my bladder was too full (I emptied my bladder an hour before and drank a pint gradually?!?! 🤷‍♀️), so had to empty it, and b) “bowel gas” was obscuring the view for a little while (mortified! 😳). So it took a while to get measurements and our photos weren’t the clearest! But baby is looking healthy Smile I am just waiting to hear back on screening results so fingers crossed all is ok. I made my mum a little card with pics from yesterday’s scan and my private scan and told her and my sister yesterday evening and they are over the moon. Was so relieved to finally tell them as I have been too scared to tell a soul except you lovely ladies.

I’m still convinced we’re having a boy and wondering what others think, but I don’t mind either way what sex we have, I am just happy all is looking ok so far xxx

Also, I was told I may have a ‘tilted uterus’ so that may have been causing issues at the scan too! I just googled it and it may explain some other things! xxx

holb54 · 15/09/2020 17:57

@Mrs1989 delighted you'd good news! If I'd to guess I think I'd go boy 💙 had to laugh outloud at "bowel gas" 😂😂😂

OP posts:
Mrs1989 · 15/09/2020 18:08

@holb54 thank you 😊 everything so far is pointing to a boy! DH and I have ONE boy’s name we love and both agree on, so that’s good 😂 if we are lucky enough to have another boy in the future we will have to rack our brains! He dislikes all my other boys’ names!

I actually had written on my notes “This was a technically difficult scan due to bowel gas” 😳!! It seemed to become an issue only after I’d emptied my (obviously flipping ridiculously small) badder! I didn’t feel gassy at all and was a little worried the sonographer thought I was holding something in! I did say “I hope it’s not just me who has this problem!” and apparently I’m not 😂 xxx

EmzG20 · 15/09/2020 18:27

@TheFoz yes it's about the only thing I drink during the day and am drinking a lot.

ValidUser · 15/09/2020 18:28

@Mrs1989 I think boy too!

I had bowel gas obscuring my ovary at my first scan at the fertility clinic a few years ago. Not rare at all! 😂

Enjoy07 · 15/09/2020 18:34

I love the fact we all find bowel gas so funny 😂

Mrs1989 · 15/09/2020 18:35

Thanks @ValidUser and glad to hear it’s not just me! 😂

Mrs1989 · 15/09/2020 18:37

@Enjoy07 😂 I’m glad I’ve posted something to make people laugh! I had to laugh at the scan to cover up my embarrassment!

SnickerdoodleSnek · 15/09/2020 18:38

@Mrs1989 Lovely scan! Glad you've been able to have a giggle despite the awkwardness!

So lovely that some of you are getting bumps now! I'm a chubby lass so I won't have a bump for a while, but I don't mind. 😂

holb54 · 15/09/2020 18:39

@Mrs1989 me and my fiance are the same, just the one boy name at the moment and nothing yet for a girl 😂
