@holb54 welcome to team 💙

SnickerdoodleSnek · 27/09/2020 00:28

Congrats @holb54 on your little boy and @Enjoy07 on your little girl! 😍

Lovely to see such a mix of people getting gender scans and those waiting for the surprise! I certainly couldn't wait so I commend those who can!

Enjoy07 · 27/09/2020 05:47

Thank you for all your well wishes everyone - it was such a lovely place we went to for the scan. Also they couldn’t get a good picture so we actually get to go back one evening this week or next for another scan which I thought was better anyway!

@plwcm oh my goodness we are baby twins! Xx

Thack · 27/09/2020 06:55

@LandMammal I'm another for team surprise

@Rosehips89 my breasts haven't changed too much, a little heavier maybe but I'm struggling on with one or two of the same bras as before. How many weeks are you? Are they much different or have you become over conscious of it?

Rosehips89 · 27/09/2020 07:06

I think I only noticed because I was distracted by the massive Jaffa cake nipples! Someone I went to college with just passed away from breast cancer, so if mine are healthy, I'll live with them

Babafarmer · 27/09/2020 07:13

@Enjoy07 lovely news on your little girl. Congratulations xx

EmzG20 · 27/09/2020 07:19

@holb54 and @Enjoy07 congratulations on your gender scans.
We've booked one for the 11th October when I'll be 17 weeks so
Fingers crossed they will be able to tell us. I think baby might be a girl after my 12 week scan photo, husband thinks boy. We will be happy with whatever and then once we know we can tell our 4 year old.

Sussexbysea · 27/09/2020 07:47

@holb54 congrats!!!

@ChubbyMumFromSkye I’m away for a few nights and we’ve done loads of walking so I think it’s that and a lack of water

ChilternsHan · 27/09/2020 08:40

@LandMammal we're in for team surprise too 🤗 although I'm a very nosy person so not sure if curiosity will get the better of me!

@Rosehips89 sorry to hear about your college friend Flowers

My boobs haven't grown loads, but they look a bit weird when I get up...a bit lumpy on the areola. Goes once I've had a shower....what a magical time, when does the glowing start 😂

CC5321 · 27/09/2020 08:54

Happy Sunday hope everyone is well!

So exciting to read everyone's gender news! Must make it feel a bit more real 😊 Still haven't decided if I'm going to find out but I'm very tempted... 20 week scan in just under 3 weeks so I will decide by then!!

Starting to get very uncomfortable in bed... has anyone got any good pregnancy pillow recommendations? I've been seeing lots of targeted ads on Instagram for the Bella Boo which looks pretty useful for when baby arrives too but not sure if a simple one would be more effective!

@Rosehips89 my boob growth is out of control, I've just bought new bras for the second time 😭 and left boob is definitely in the lead!!

Am also very much enjoying sour sweets right now, I found some haribo fizzy worms in my corner shop which hit the spot!

Thanks @holb54 for taking the time to set up the FB group x

Phie04 · 27/09/2020 09:08

Ugh thought the morning sickness would have gone now. I havent been sick since week 11/12 and this morning I just couldn't keep it down. I've had nausea in the mornings doing certain activities but not this bad. Hoping it's just a one off 🤮

Sussexbysea · 27/09/2020 09:29

Has anyone got the John Lewis pregnancy pillow at all? I’m looking at getting it. I want something I can use for feeding baby too. The genie one doesn’t look like it’s be comfortable for feeding. Unless anyone has any personal reviews on it? 💗

KatieG200394 · 27/09/2020 10:03

Is the facebook group up and running now? Xx

SnickerdoodleSnek · 27/09/2020 10:39

@KatieG200394 I don't think it has been made yet - I believe it's being made today though!

KatieG200394 · 27/09/2020 10:53

@SnickerdoodleSnek okay cool, thank you :)

BatKat · 27/09/2020 11:16

@Sussexbysea I have the dream genie pregnancy pillow. I found it amazing when I was pregnant with my daughter but I’m struggling sleeping with it at the moment. I don’t think I used it until I was 20 weeks pregnant last time so I’m hoping I’ll find it great again once I have a proper bump. I didn’t use it for breastfeeding though, I found it easier to have a couple of smaller pillows from our sofa

ChubbyMumFromSkye · 27/09/2020 11:48

Aw @Sussexbysea That's probably what's causing it :( hope you feel better soon.

Has anyone had dreams of their baby and it's sex?
For those of you who know genders now, did you have dreams beforehand and was the sex right or wrong?

I dreamt this morning that I had a baby girl, which I haven't properly considered before because my other baby was a boy - he is 7.5 now. So I have always just automatically thought of this baby as a boy and although we would be delighted with a girl or boy I feel like it's only since this dream this morning that I am now thinking "aww it would be so lovely it the baby was a girl".☺️ I feel more "in love" with the idea of a girl than before.

Anyway sorry for rambling, I can't seem to explain things without long drawn out stories (which probably make no sense!) 😂

Basically just wondered if anyone else has had dreams of a boy or girl and then was the dream right after your gender scan if you have had one?

KatieG200394 · 27/09/2020 11:51

@ChubbyMumFromSkye I had a dream during the first trimester that I gave birth to a boy and the gender scan confirmed we're on team blue ☺💙 xx

ChubbyMumFromSkye · 27/09/2020 11:55

Oooh! @KatieG200394 that's interesting to know! ☺️☺️

Rosehips89 · 27/09/2020 13:20

I had a dream we had a beautiful baby boy with blonde curly hair (curls on both side of the family so it's likely). He was perfect. But he had just peed on the carpet because apparently we were potty training 😂

Just to be awkward, my husband has dreamed it was a girl

holb54 · 27/09/2020 13:40

Thanks everyone for the well wishes! Over the moon 💙

@CC5321 I got the dream genii but I'm not sure about it still, it's quite firm but it does stop me rolling on to my back or going left which I'm trying so hard to avoid! I got mine in argos but if I could redo it (suppose I could but don't want to waste 60e) I would go into a shop and try have a feel of them first!

@KatieG200394 going to throw the link up today around 6! 💜

@ChubbyMumFromSkye I thought from the very beginning baby was a boy and I would have been really shocked if he hadn't been.. but every dream I did have the baby was a girl 🤷🏼‍♀️ for me him being a boy was pure gut instinct and nothing else 😂

ChubbyMumFromSkye · 27/09/2020 13:55

@Rosehips89 lol 😆 so you know or are you finding out what you are having?

@holb54 so interesting about the dreams, I was expecting those who have had gender scans to say they dreamt the correct genders!

I told DS and he said "oh my goodness that is so cuuute!" And DH said "but it's a boy" (jokingly!) and DS said, "or a baby sister!" 😀😂 so looks like he'll be happy either way despite originally wanting a boy to join his "bro club" 😆

ValidUser · 27/09/2020 14:01

@holb54 congratulations!

@ChubbyMumFromSkye I dreamt of a girl, but was still convinced it was a boy and I was right!

Enjoy07 · 27/09/2020 14:06

@ChubbyMumFromSkye I don’t think I had any dreams about baby and didn’t have a feeling either way on what I was having- so I am zero help with this! xx
