Welcome back @Sussexbysea iv been thinking about you. Glad to hear your news.

Sussexbysea · 15/09/2020 11:02

@ValidUser they never mentioned it but we’ll wait for our 20 week Scan.

When did you get your results?

@Phie04 strangely enough, mine arrived this morning. 22nd October for my 20 week but I think I’ll be in for more scans

ValidUser · 15/09/2020 11:04

@Sussexbysea last Wednesday. I had to tick an extra box to find out the sex. We've named him already.

It's really made my day to see you got good news!

holb54 · 15/09/2020 11:07

@ValidUser you're making me more excited to find out the gender of my baby 😂 you've even choosen a name? I seriously need to start looking into names 😬

Somethings definitely not right it's coming out everytime i pee and it's sinking to the bottom where as discharge usually floats

MrsAndMrs · 15/09/2020 11:16

@Phie04 they booked me in at the hospital when I was in for my 12 week scan. I'm also down for 28,32,36 and 39 wk scans but I'm supposed to book them as I go.
Maybe worth giving the hospital a ring?

Sussexbysea · 15/09/2020 11:18

@ValidUser that’s really lovely of you to say.

I think my trust are allowing partners into the 20 week scan so we’ll find out the gender there and then

Aurora124 · 15/09/2020 11:19

Its best to get it checked @chloxhunt it could be anything try not to worry.

chloxhunt · 15/09/2020 11:21

@Aurora124 my gp isn't even answering 🥺

holb54 · 15/09/2020 11:27

@chloxhunt did they ever give you numbers for the early pregnancy unit when you were in? You could ring the hospital and ask to be put through to them.

OP posts:
Aurora124 · 15/09/2020 11:28

@chloxhunt can you call the hospital directly? I always found epu to be much more helpful .

chloxhunt · 15/09/2020 11:28

@holb54 I'm not at home so I don't have any of the numbers, my friend gave me a 24 hour one which I think my midwife gave me so I might phone that one! I hate phoning though I never know what to say lol

chloxhunt · 15/09/2020 11:29

@Aurora124 yeah I'm going to ring the 24hour number but my boyfriend starts work at 2

chloxhunt · 15/09/2020 11:34

I feel stupid though for contacting my gp for the same reason as last month

noor777 · 15/09/2020 11:35

Hi all
I have been following the threads for some time. I am due early April so hopefully that’s okay. So i have been one sided back pain and headaches for last few weeks which I thought are probably common pregnancy symptoms until this morning when i rang my MW and she asked me to provide urine samples. She said it could be a UTI but have to wait till results get back. I’m feeling so anxious now that maybe i left it too late to raise it with the MW! I hope everything is okay. Has anyone else had a UTI picked up late due to no symptoms? This is our 4th pregnancy after 3 miscarriages! Please i need some reassurance :(

c24680 · 15/09/2020 11:35

@Sussexbysea so happy for you!

holb54 · 15/09/2020 11:37

@chloxhunt don't feel stupid, ignoring it is worse. Tell them it's still happening and you feel it's getting heavier and want it checked

chloxhunt · 15/09/2020 11:38

@holb54 yeah I know it is! Yeah I will i just hope they can see me today

KatyCherry23 · 15/09/2020 11:43

@chloxhunt I hope you get through to someone. But just hang on to the fact that after a scan at 12 weeks the risk of losing the baby is less than 1%. I have to keep reminding myself everytime I see blood I might print it out and stick it on the bathroom mirror.

@noor777 I've had a really bad UTI with no symptoms before, so it is totally possible. I've had headaches since conception, I got them with my last pregnancy too and started to get migraines but had a healthy boy with no complications, they are bloody awful but hopefully for you it is just one of those annoying symptoms.

chloxhunt · 15/09/2020 11:45

@KatyCherry23 haha yeah I know it is! It doesn't help my mums history with miscarriages she lost my sister at 21 weeks so it's hard for me to not worry

chloxhunt · 15/09/2020 11:53

Just had a phone call was told to just keep an eye on it and if I get any cramps or the spotting becomes red or any pain in my shoulders to ring them

KatyCherry23 · 15/09/2020 11:54

I've got a bit of a rant coming...
Is anyone else's family being rotten about the gender of the baby? My sister kicked off when I said I wouldn't find out (I'm hoping the excitement will get me through labour) her and her partner are desperate for a girl and have just had 2 beautiful boys! I've got a little boy too but we had a big fuss when he started nursery because he said he wanted to be a girl because another girl told him he wasn't allowed to play in the home section because he was a boy so I'm very sensitive to the topic of gender equality. Last night my mum told me my nan (who is normally lovely) said "oh I please please let it be a girl" like there is something wrong with having boys. I don't know if it's just my hormones but even if we do find out I really don't want to tell any of them, even after the baby is born because they have annoyed me. I usually dress my babies in dinosaurs and bright rainbow or jungle prints so no one could tell what they were anyway unless they looked in their nappy.
Also the names aswell. They are obsessed. We said we would call it Raj to shut everyone up but they thought we were serious 😂😂😂

chloxhunt · 15/09/2020 11:56

@KatyCherry23 we are in this together lol! It's so hard not to worry though when you see something like this!

Phie04 · 15/09/2020 12:11

Our moses basket has arrived!! So happy I ordered it when I did. All other websites are so expensive for the style and colour we want. Really wanted one that rocks all in white to match our bedroom furniture. Anyone else bought big things yet? I dont think we will be buying anything else big until after christmas

@KatyCherry23 why do people feel the need to get so involved? None. Of. Anyones. Business. That's all I have to say!
