This is a great group! I have a bump at 13 weeks and have already ordered maternity clothes online. Anyone got any advice about antenatal classes since NCT aren't running face to face classes yet?

Morning everyone,

Not been keeping up with the threads as much a since starting back at work. Hope you’re all ok. Anyone’s symptoms starting to ease? I’ve had a really bad times, but 12 weeks tomorrow and now I have good days and bad days.

Love seeing bump pictures almost as much as scan pics! I'm prone to bloating so I don't look any different to my normal shape yet.

I'm probably going mad but I swear I felt the baby move tonight. I was at dinner and sitting slightly hunched forward and really low down in the centre of my belly it felt like there was a slippery little fish squirming for just a couple of seconds - the oddest feeling and something I've never felt before. I had some bubbles a week ago that I brushed off as wind, and a strange vibrating feeling a few days later that I put down to stretching muscles/ligaments.

I'm 13 weeks today and first pregnancy so it seems unlikely, but the feeling has really stayed with me!

I've felt the odd flutter sometimes and wondered if it was baby! I'm also 13 weeks

@Clara9 I’m 13+2 today and my nausea has eased in the last week. Boobs haven’t been as tender for a few weeks but my nipples are. Still tired but probably not as bad as the earlier weeks. Constipation has started though! I’m a terrible water drinker so I really need to get on that.

@JTB123 yeah me too😂 my tummy's already that shape anyways because of how my muscles come out so I don't know when I'll start showing 😂

What a clever idea! I might ask about it at my scan, as well as about the letter than gets free prescriptions haha 😂

@TheFoz hopefully I will be able to say the same in a week. I’m reeeeally bad at drinking water too. I’m a teacher so not it a job where I can go to the loo when I want!

@chloxhunt I get married in 20 days so I want it to stay as small as humanly possible until then, and then I want a big old bump 😂 I can dream right!

With my first baby I just did 2 free nhs classes, one for breastfeeding and one for the birth. You can quite easily get all the information you need from free online videos or in the books. As long as you ish understand the stages of labour you are good to go. The midwife showed me and 5 other women on the ward I was on how to bath the baby after I'd given birth. Everything else I learned on the job.

I looked into nct classes but there were none remotely near us and it was a couple of hundred quid I think. Glad we didn't fork out. I knew plenty of people having babies around the same time though so didn't need the classes for new friends anyway. I think that was the motivation for lots of my friends who did it, company on mat leave.

I'm not sure I'd want to fork out a lot of money to sit on zoom (assuming classes are still online), you won't get the benefit of meeting other people and could do the same thing for free through YouTube videos.

Morning ladies, I was tired of being worried all the time so booked a scan this morning, unfortunately I have had another MMC so it's the end of the road yet again for me, I wish you all the best of success in your pregnancies ❤

Wow, some of these bumps! I’m pretty sure my stomach is more bloat at the moment because there have been times when I’ve woken up and stomach has not been quite as big as the night before! It is my first though, so I’ve read it’s normal to show a bit later. Just wondering if a proper bump is going to appear suddenly overnight in the next few weeks! xxx

Thanks @TheFoz this is my third in less than 12 months, I didn't even cry I am just so numb, its really not fair. Really appreciate everyone's good wishes but will stop posting from now as I don't want to stress you all out with my situation. Stay positive ❤❤❤

@spierse my mum had loads too so I technically wasn't supposed to of been conceived but it'll all work out eventually don't lose hope!
