@HollieL567 as long as you aren't getting cramping at the same time fingers crossed you will be all good. The mw checked my cervix at my appointment so you could ask her to, she said sometimes you might get a harmless growth of cells that can bleed. Fingers crossed they get you in. I know how scary it is xx

chloxhunt · 14/09/2020 10:16

Does anyone else keep getting brown discharge when they're supposed to be on their period?

LandMammal · 14/09/2020 10:26

@ButtonsMama19 haha 5 mins rest on the loo...I can relate! My kids have sussed by now that if they can't see or hear me, then I'm in the toilet and feel they need to come and keep me company 😅 welcome to the group!

Prams: we (very lucky) were handed down a Bugaboo Cameleon 3 and it was brilliant! everyone commented on how easy and smooth it was to push. like many Dutch products, very practical, well thought out and well made. unfortunately we made the mistake of taking it abroad and it got broken by the airport staff (expensive lesson there!). We've since bought an Out n About and although it's good, it's not a patch on the Bugaboo. after 18 months it already has some broken bits.

@Aurora124 I feel for you. when you mention cooking meals, is there a way you can do a couple of bulk cooking and freeze some meals for mid week?? I am in awe of you ironing clothing!!! I have never ironed a single item of my kids clothes 🙈🙈 Putting them in the tumble for a bit and folding them warm tends to do the trick if you are short on time?!
My partner works 50+ hours a week and has quite a stressful job so I tend to do all the housework, cooking & work part time as well and it is a struggle, so I can fully empathise.

MrsAndMrs · 14/09/2020 10:37

@Enjoy07 no but I would be interested to know too! I thought there was more bloods to be done or am I making that up? Its been a long time since I've done this so my memory is a little hazy! 😂

KatyCherry23 · 14/09/2020 10:37

@chloxhunt I do, it's always after u have a bit of bleeding. The Mw thinks it's hormonal. It's annoying though isn't it!

chloxhunt · 14/09/2020 10:43

@KatyCherry23 it's so annoying! I had a bit of bleeding last month but not this month! Maybe it is hormonal then

Babafarmer · 14/09/2020 10:51

@ButtonsMama19 welcome to the group. We are a very chatty group this is the 5th thread we’ve had.

@HollieL567 I’ve really sorry I don’t have any advice but getting in touch with EPU will hopefully set your mind at ease.

@Usplusone how are you getting on? Has baby moved?

@chloxhunt how frustrating for you. I hope it settles down.

chloxhunt · 14/09/2020 11:01

@Babafarmer thank you! Me too!

TheFoz · 14/09/2020 11:13

@Enjoy07 I had mine last week. It’s health history and previous pregnancies and births. My call took about 20 minutes.

I had my first gynae consultant appointment today. All good, she did a quick scan so I saw baby briefly and heartbeat was good, so that was nice. My next appointment with her is December 7th and diabetes test is December 10th. I have to see my GP in 6 weeks. No appointment yet for the 20 week scan.

HollieL567 · 14/09/2020 11:16

So the epu rung and they want to scan me today at 12 so I'm on the way to the hosp now, I am absolutely terrified. Please keep everything crossed for us 🤞🏻💕 I don't think I'm gonna be able to look at the screen I am so anxious

LandMammal · 14/09/2020 11:22

@HollieL567 good luck! hope everything goes well for you x

chloxhunt · 14/09/2020 11:23

@HollieL567 everything will be okay! They won't show you the screen until they've seen that everything's okay anyways so once they turn the screen round you'll feel relived

aureliacecilia · 14/09/2020 11:27

Good luck @HollieL567.

Is there a new thread yet?

holb54 · 14/09/2020 11:37

Best of luck @HollieL567 💓

Welcome @ButtonsMama19 💜

@TheFoz maybe ring just in case? They gave me my date for the 20 week scan at the 12 week scan!

Enjoy07 · 14/09/2020 11:46

@MrsAndMrs surely they don’t need more blood after the amount they took at the 12 week scan 😂 although I think they’ll ask me to take a urine sample in after the phone call.

@TheFoz they asked all about my health history, previous pregnancy etc at my booking appointment at 8 weeks which lasted around an hour. I wonder if different trusts do it in a different order.

@HollieL567 thinking of you and sending positive thoughts your way xx

Babafarmer · 14/09/2020 11:55

@HollieL567 every is crossed for you xx

chloxhunt · 14/09/2020 12:02

@Enjoy07 hahaha it's like 3 or 4 tubes wasn't it?😂

Enjoy07 · 14/09/2020 12:04

@chloxhunt it seemed to be about 50 but yes I think it was only 4 😂

chloxhunt · 14/09/2020 12:07

@Enjoy07 50 think I'd be dead if it was really 50 😂😂😂

chloxhunt · 14/09/2020 12:08

When did you hear the heartbeat for the first time? I'm so eager to hear its heartbeat 😂

MrsAndMrs · 14/09/2020 12:09

@Enjoy07 haha very true! I went over all my previous history etc at my booking app so not sure what we do at 16 weeks! 😂 I'm supposed to have a urine dip and microscopy sent at every appointment so I'm gonna have to go into my GP anyway.

ValidUser · 14/09/2020 12:12

@chloxhunt take what I say with a pinch of salt because I'm not in the UK, but I think it depends on your clinic. Not every ultrasound machine will let you listen easily, apparently. Then it depends on when the NHS use a doppler. (16 weeks in Ireland, usually.)

I heard ours at 7 weeks 4 days at a private scan. Don't think the antenatal clinic in my area do it. I'll find out Friday.

holb54 · 14/09/2020 12:23

@chloxhunt I've heard it a few times, once in the hospital (an early pregnancy scan) and any other time it's been at a private scan! Didn't hear it at the 12 week was just shown the heart moving so have a feeling it's not something they do much in the hospitals or maybe just not this early on! Not in the UK either though or might be different here 💗

chloxhunt · 14/09/2020 12:25

@holb54 @ValidUser ahhh okay thanks guys! I've got a private scan for my 16 week so my partner can come in so hopefully we will here it then then

MrsJ89 · 14/09/2020 12:27

@Enjoy07 I wondered the same as we went over my medical history at the 8 week appointment. On the NHS website it says talking over the results which I'm guessing are from the bloods and taking blood pressure..which they can't do virtually so not sure what we can discuss 🤷‍♀️
